I've a Klipsch Image One to listen music and it comes with iPhone micro and volume control.
For my tests I could see that the Desire doesn't recognize the micro part well
Is there an app or a tip to get the control working correctly ?

I don't like the standard earphones as they are too big, but there's no choice of good quality earphones (in ear please!) coming for htc. Most of them are unfortunely designed for iPhone so mix and controls won't work htc devices.
Is there any software that can fix that?

iCrap headsets for Android devices

Hi Guys
I've been looking for a nice headphones with mic and control buttons for my Legend
Unfortunately companies make only ones for iPhone
Apple does not like us to use them
So they have put a chip which allows them to work only with idevices
When u connect them to legend mic do not work (but the phone recognize it as coneceted)
Only central button works (allows u to play and stop music only)
I've read that there is a patch for HTC magic
Which allows to use iPhone ones
I've been wondering is there a way to make them work on legend as well
If anyone have any info about how to do it please help

Beats Headphones with ControleTalk and HTC Desire S with Endymion

Hello,
i bought some nice beats Monster tour headphones with controletalk.
I realized that my phone Desire S with Endymion rom does not recognizes the headphones as an Headset. So i figured out that my headphones are recognized as an Headset with mic when i plug them in with the wolume + pressed.
The headset symbol is shown in the infobar above but i cant use the mic and the colume buttons. Just ending a call is possible, nothing else.
So has anybody any idea what the issue could be.
Normaly my Phone should be fully compatible with the Headphones beacuse the ROM is the official Sensation XL rom with comes stock with Beats by Dre..
And much older HTC Phones are official listed as capable with this headphones.
THX for answer!!!
I have the same problem with CyanogenMod 7.1 stable installed.
Omg, really? I was seriously considering a pair of beats tour, but without the mic, so I'd be fine
How is it with Endymion?
Are they good? Do they integrate well with the beats, srs and Dolby?

Line-out audio output

Hi all.
I'm wondering if it's possible to get a line-out somehow on the Sensation, or even a digital audio output, such as on the iphone?
Can it be done maybe through the MHL port? USB?
Can't you just use the mini-jack output? Maybe I don't understand your question.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using Tapatalk
Hi. Thanks for your answer.
I don't want to use the regular audio output, since I want a clean output, not amplified or equalized.
My purpose is to connect my sensation to an exterior amplifier, such as the fiio e7, or the digizoid zo2, to which I'll connect my headphones.

I personally use this DAC sometimes :
http://www.htc-gifts.co.uk/p/Audio-...tail/Fiio-E10-USB-DAC-Headphone-Amplifier.php
And it works very well indeed.
There are many more DAC Amps on the market now, but this gives a nice rich sound for the price. (Ebay is a good place to look)
**Edit-Apologies, I misread your question. And totally missed the Line out request.**
<Insert Face palm here>
Cheers.

Thats exactly what i want!! I want to hook my sensation to a DAC such as the E10 (and alike), but how do i get a digital output from the sensation?
Do you use the E10 as a DAC + amp or as an amp only?

I use it on multiple Gadgets really, Netbook, Guitar, Ipod, Xbox etc as a great Amplifier.
And the DAC makes a huge difference to the Sound quality of Streaming media such as Napster/Last FM.
I've just noticed the updated E17 :
http://www.trustedreviews.com/fiio-e17_Portable-Audio_review
(It looks very nice indeed!)
And there's a thread here that may be handy in relation to it being paired with Smartphones/Devices:
http://www.head-fi.org/t/587912/fiio-e17-alpen-first-impression-final-thought/1755
And a handy Main index of other threads:

If you have a Richersounds (Or similar retailer) near you, they are usually brilliant for providing Demonstrations. Just call them and they will arrange it for you.
Good luck.

Thanks, but I actually know what all the above are. I'll probably get one of those, but I want to know how do I get a digital output (to connect to the DAC) specifically from the HTC Sensation.

Through the USB.
I use a mini usb-Spdif converter cable with my Sensation and IPad too.
The box then does the Processing magic.
I'm really not sure about MHL/HDMI sound output to be honest.
Cheers.

Hey !!
Thanks for the answer.
What is this "mini usb-Spdif converter cable" that you speak of? You just connect one side to the HTC, and the other to the DAC/Amp? And if we're on the subject - what DAC/Amp do you use?
Yes sorry ignore me, I didn't explain that too well, the Spidif cable is only when I use it to connect to my PC from my iPad.
I use the E10 with sensation (See picture) which just needs a USB input for any additional power/or Devices.
Cheers

3.5mm from sensation to E10.
And then line out or Coaxial for audio output.
I don't actually think that sensation has USB audio host support,(USB to USB) which is influenced by the kernel. But it will happen at some stage with ICS no doubt.
Cheers.
(Apologies if my posts have confused you, I have the pleasure of looking after 3 screaming children today! Stressed to the Max!)
Wow this os amazing...is like a mini external audio interface xD

Don't be sorry... we all have our hands full...
Anyway, if I connect a 3.5mm jack from sensation to a 3.5mm into the E10, then it's not actually line-out, because the audio passes through the internal amplifier (in the sensation), and also through the equalizer, so by the time it gets to your ears, it passes through 2 amps and 2 equalizers (cause the E10 also has a built in eq'), which quite distorts it.

Yes, have a search for "sensation OTG/USB host'.*
It was hoped that ICS would bring us closer to achieving it fully.
Once again it's very much Kernel dependent.
I'm wondering if a MHL audio splitter (of some kind) connected to mini-usb is possible, to seperate the Audio channel?
Anyway, good luck, and I'll keep looking.
Cheers.
*I believe OTG stands for "On the Go".

Indeed... It can also serve as an external soundcard. And in most cases (Laptops at least) it does a better job than the built in one.
Although I'd prefer this little cool thing, over the E10:

Wow nice but those 30 Hz...no all headphones could bring theme...or yes? So this can connect to the sensation by mini-jack, right?

Most headphone go to 20Hz, and the high-end ones go even lower. And it connects with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable.

Media volume is a pile of horse ****.

So I just realized tha even though this phone has been advertising its "amazing" sound system with the beats logo and such, the media output throught speakers is too damn quiet. Nokia phones go louder. So I was looking for a way to increase the out put with a mod or app. I tried volume+ already and no good. My phone is rooted and I am a noob to this stuff so explain it like you are explaining it to a dumbass...thanks in advance

The speaker is crap yes, but the quality if output on the HTC One S is higher than most phones, when using the headphone jack.
+1 . i used volume+ on my hov with no problem but it dont work on hos. The volume levels are awful, even my mates galaxy ace blows it away on volume . surely there must be a way to boost the max levels for ringtones etc??
Sent from my One S using XDA
Yeah it really is awful. Do you know of any mods that push the speaker to the max?
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda app-developers app
What I have done is bump my ringtone's volume on the pc (with audacity). Not really a solution, but...
You've got to bump and try on the phone to see the limit over which it gets distorted.

I hear tons of good stuff about Klipsch. Are they really that good?
I like them a lot. Best sounding ear buds with inline mic/controls that work with Android IMHO
Yeah they are very good. Although if your gonna get them you should wait around for a bit, Newegg always has great deals on them. Usually 50-75 percent off.

I tried both my Nocs (iPhone model) and my HTC urBeats (Android version). They both work. For the Nocs, only a double-click works for FFWDing to next song. On the the UrBeats, double-click centre button to FFWD, left and right buttons control volume. This is the behaviour with the stock music app.
