This is my first shot on porting a ROM. I always wanted an AOSP ROM that was lightweight, fast and stable.
With the help of superkid and proxuser, I've managed to port this ROM to our beloved device.

Guys I made some progress:

Brightness - works
3D Drivers - works but with some glitches, will try to fix them
Will upload the build tonight for testing purposes, till then fixing some more stuff.
I have to say it's amazingly fast. I am stunned.

Damn man. After I just get done flashing ZX Hero 1.5 to play around with that. You come out with this causing me to Flash another rom 20 min after I just finished flashing one and setting it up and getting it to the point I like. Thanks!!!!

Yea i think the swap is the problem....are you using a g1...i would remove swap and try again because i am using no swap and it is working just fine =)
so what isn't working on this? Is it having the same problem with sms that test 5 has? or was that solved? I've flashed it and wifi isn't working so I'm gonna ditch swap and try again. but so far so good. It's snappy.

Hey all. Been a while since my last release of s3vo for the evo which was sense based, but I really wanted to start learning android and have a better perspective of it. I decided to dig a bit more into compiling android. Started horsing around with github and learned to start compiling my own builds from aosp wih the help from cmsrc, evervolv, and a few others githubs. Since the release of gingerbread to aosp, i moved away from sense. There are things that i do miss about sense, but the usability of the phone without it is just unmatched imho. Many people use or have used cyanogenmod. IMHO is a great open source project that has some of the best devs out there. I have always been more into the 'vanilla' look opposed to the themed and aftermarket. Recently i have been compiling gingerbread for the evo and mt4g and have had nothing but the best reviews. Basically the reason why i am here. Wondering if there was any interest in a few of my builds. Main reason from moving away from CM6/7 (cyanogenmod), ADW launcher and the extra added bloat and themes. Currently as i look at my phone, my battery stats have me at 31 hours and counting with 15% left. So battery life as you can tell was one of my main concerns. Everything works!!!

There is *nothing* that doesnt work anymore on 1.0. If an app that you are used to using from a 2.2/sense rom doesnt work, chances are that app hasnt been recompiled for gingerbread. Please bug the app author and not me

no, your phone has trouble with it. gps works for 9 out of 10 people, maybe even 9.5

I flashed v1.2b over 1.1 and MMS is working perfect for me, i hope that helps
Works perfectly for me. Running 1.2b with SZ kernel. The only minor issue so far is battery indicator. When charging, the light turns green at 90% (I am aware that is still charging =))

Well I've been running 1.0.1 for a few days now and its rock solid, battery life pretty good too. I used to run Roadrunner Miui on my O2X and it was the best one out, so glad to see you've moved onto O3D...

Just canceled version 1.2 and i didn't think that I will bring a gb rom
Atm I m using my RE cm7 Rom, and it works great. Hopefully arcee will fix open3d. So my next Rom will be based on cm7 sk2. If arcee will add 3D nightlys im ready to kang it
So if you don't really need 3D atm and want a fast rom (and stable for me atm, still testing) you can download here at the weekend the new RoadRunner based on CM7!
Maybe I will try to port miui on this rom, if I have the time.
Or I will wait till cm9

Miui for this phone would be awesome, used to love Miui on my O2X. Having said that a stable CM7 would be very nice too. Think I'm gonna wait for the Roadrunner based on CM7 and give that a go because after the intial showing everyone the 3D I don't really use it that much now. I just want a stable camera....
Please could someone explain me what is MIUI and what's the difference of this rom among others ? So as far as I can understand MIUI Flag configurer lets you choose the things that you want to install inside the rom first ?
Good news to know you are working CM7 rom. Do you think HDMI will be fixed in this new ginger based rom ?

There is not much difference between the roms at the minute... but hopefully there will be soon...
Used the rom now one day, no reboots feels stable.
After 8,5h 75% akku, Wifi off and 2g data on, google sync on, twitter and Tapatalk. Didn't use it much. Not awesome but ok
Seems like WLAN drains much akku.
Now it's time to add flags and flag configer support!

Don't forget to download Google apps, atm its not added.
Don't be scary, if the rom boots, after the LG screen you will get a Blackscreen, after that the bootanimation starts.
I think it's the zipaling script how needs some time, but need to look into the log. (at boot the script will zipaligng your system and data apps).

Hows the camera because I found the one in SK2 a little buggy
Edit: Camera still the same on this one, pics have got a funny tint to them and when you try to take a pic in the dark, the flash goes off but it must take the pic after because the pic is really dark... cant do without the camera.
I will say that other than the camera, seems fast and stable and the miui theme is very nice

Yes, I'll changed more than just the flags. But you can then flash without a full wipe. Didn't know if I will release this weekend, didn't have much time this week

Have you 've been able to fix HDMI functionality ? Maybe Ricardo Cerqueira (cyanogenmod) can give you a hand. Do you know him or have contact with him ? I follow him on google +. I'll check your rom this weekend as new gingerbread leaked version seems to lack of radio 3G functionality. Also I love that MIUI thing and the cool looking. Could please post some screens of the MIUI feature ? Thanks!!

No, didn't fixed it. I think that I can't fixed it, I'm not a great dev as arcee is it and atm there's no 3d source from cm7. I know him, but didn't have contact. I just modify
The rom, and look if there's anything I could fix. But the most bugs can only arcee I think.
It's not a real future, it's only theme, but Screenshots will follow with release.
I started to port full miui based on cm7, if I get it booting I will make a new thread, but I will need help porting the framework.

Okay Guys I have now decided to stop my porting of MIUIv4 as we have official build now... So this thread will just be open to discuss bugs and share anystuff related to miui...and also link up some mods that will make life for newbies easier and be one point source for desire s miuiv4 issues...I will just update whatever kernel and stuff is needed so that you can flash a clean installation always...

had been a miui GB fan and was waiting for a stable MIUI v4.

- Spirit FM Light Radio works, BT gets turned on automatically with Spirit. while in radio if you get call radio doest resume (but this is true on all ICS ROMs), a simple restart of Spirit fixes it.
I use miui .18 from blindumb.Since this is also miui,do i need to do any wipes? (Cm9 kernel)

I'm using this ROM without any issues, however, I couldnt find a setting to disable 'sweep2wake' ?
'Sweep2Wake' does indeed consume a lot of juice, want to see how MIUI v4 battery lasts without that feature.

For that you ll need to apply non patched kernel...
I ll try to give a link of default kernel as well
HaxSync compatibility...
Have one suggestion. Since HaxSync does a pretty good job of syncing high def contact pictures and linking them with phone contacts - works beautifully on AOSP and AOKP ICS ROMs - can you manage do the same with MIUI. If this is manageable it would be excellent since MIUI has one of the best call screens around.

I don't know but since previous version full screen isn't working with haxsync...some issue...
So we can edit join with haxsync contact...then again click edit and select haxsync and then use this photo...contact uses the haxsync photo...but caller screen still not full screen...since last week's version...hopefully this week they solve it
one suggestion, can you please have supercharger v6 preinstalled in your future MIUI releases.
AND also when will this rom be released on kernel 3? RATHER THAN ON CM9 KERNEL

This ROM is a lot more stable than the BlindMIUI version! No reboots during Music/GPS tracking combo!

Wow, 3rd ICS for G1!!! Looks amazingly fast (for ICS), how did you do it? I'm assuming it's the hw acceleration. Where's the Dalvik cache stored, that was a big problem in terms of speed for previous ICS ROMs.
I now have a G2 (Desire Z) so will be able to test this in the near future + give feedback

firstly i used your rom as a base (on video) with tvall's and jcarrz's files help, but now im working on cm9 - much faster and stabler

Which ROM did you use for the CM9 base? Rotation works right (no black screen).
Let me know if you have tested youtube.

i can't test youtube now, because wifi, sdcard & adb doesn't work yet, but i'm working on it
most important thing is fixing adb, rest will be much easier then

Some of these sound like a kernel issue. What kernel are you using?

I don't think these are kernel issues, because it works fine on powerplop's base. Few of them should be fixed tonight.
My mind is blown!! Im trying this as soon as i get home and flash it to my G1. I wonder if, when HTC made the G1, they had the slightest idea that almost four years latter it would still be getting use and that more importantly it would have such advanced software forced into it and still run nicely.

I'm awaiting patiently this release (so patiently that I keep refreshing this thread).
This would be a great boost for my cellphone, because everyone else is all happy with their 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2s in their all new cellphones.

Yes, I tried, but it doesn't even boot. Any ics rom doesn't boot for me with this kernel.
