I have already ordered 1 of the fakes from Hong Kong. But I'd really like to get 1 of the original ones that came with the Nexus as I have heard mixed reviews about the fakes.
There was a thread stating that HTC was giving away these for free if you called them.
Why you want want this over a soft/gel case beats me
I tried calling HTC but since I am not within the warranty anymore they said that they can't sell me 1. If anyone is still within their warranty and could get 1 from HTC and sell it to me that'd be really cool.
Well right now I am using an otterbox, but I qualify for an upgrade soon and once I do qualify for it I plan to use the phone just with this neoprene pouch. I really want to enjoy the feel of the phone without cases being on it all the time. But right now if I did that and dropped the phone and it broke, I'd be in a bad situation so I am waiting for my upgrade in a few months so if it breaks I have an upgrade waiting for me.

This is pretty sweet, people reported paying 30 or 40 bucks from lg and how hard this battery cover was to find.

lg is the worst customer service ive ever tried to deal with i need a back cover they said send it in they will decide if im worthy of a replacement it may cost me they can suck it my phone is only 3 months old its breaking i dont even use it it doesnt work as a phone ill never buy a lg product

Looking for a little advice on the value of a brand new in the box MT4G Slide that I'm looking to sell. It's going up on either eBay or Craiglist but I have no idea what to ask for it. The eBay prices are all over the map. I can't return it or exchange it because I got it as a promotion.
(Got it for the wife. She played with it for 5 minutes and decided she's happier with her old standard non smartphone.....I don't know what to tell you. Some people are strange. )
Anyway...it's brand new. And I mean very brand new. The charger and USB cord are still wrapped in their little plastic bags new. SIM card is still attached to the plastic card it comes on new.
I'm pretty certain it doesn't have the 12/22 OTA update so it should still be able to be s-off'ed easily.
So first off what's it worth in the condition I have it in now?
And is it worth it for me to take s-off and unlock the SIM to increase it's value? (I'm fully capable of doing that. I just don't know if that might tend to turn the general public off as they might think that makes it harder to use or something...thus decreasing it's value.)
I sell stuff on eBay all the time but never sold a phone. So I'm not sure what makes it more valuable or less valuable to the average buyer. And is there a better place to sell phones than eBay / Craigslist?

I know on CL in my area a new one by private owner is about 300-400. Really it is YMMV. Just put it up for what you feel you would like to get for it and if someone wants it and thinks the price is too high they will probably ask if you would take a lower amount.

Just bought one from theXDA Market, paid $220. The seller unlocked it, had S-OFF and CWM installed. It was used, but barely, is a great device.
I'd suggest unlocking it, you'll get more.
Ebay is tricky, they'll charge you fees and if the seller pays through PP they can decide they don't like the phone and take their money back. I'd sell through here (XDA market or CL locally)

Every AT&T store, RS and BestBuy Ive talked to wont sell any cases until Sunday, because "thats the start of the sell of the One X". Im not sure I want to use my phone for a few days and not have a case on it to protect it in case it falls.
AT&T: We have several cases in the back, but we cant sell them until Sunday.

Att.com didn't ship cases until the 2nd. I ordered it 2 weeks ago so I could have it here when the phone arrived, but it's not going to make it until tomorrow. The order page didn't have pre-order listed anywhere, and I didn't get any notice it would be delayed. It is what it is I guess, but I did buy a very nice Nillkin case from eBay that I will be using today. Enjoy your phone, and be very careful the next couple of days.

try to be verrrrry careful. i haven't dropped or dinged up a phone in... forever. last time i dropped one was my iPhone 3G back in like '09 and it had a slider case on it by goincase (best case for a phone i've ever had in my life).
Hi! I would like to ask if is there anyone that sell a full body case replacement for mt4gs? I got mine from a friend so obviously it's second hand and it's already full of scratches/nicks in the metal plate side so I thought about replacing it and failed to find anyone selling it.
I am not talking about those colored cover thingies on ebay. I am talking about the real case of mt4gs. I am loving this phone physically and I'm pretty sure I won't be shifting phones anytime soon since I am a qwerty enthusiast and the upcoming samsung relay 4g just got rejected by my taste.

Well, I tried lol. I've been looking to buy one as well, but just to keep as a spare just in case. Maybe you can find a repair shop in your area that would sell you the housing. Idk, good luck though haha.
On a side note, my friend was able to buy housing for a SGS2 a month ago from a repair shop down here. They said they don't normally do that, but (and I seriously think this) because she's hot, they "made an exception". They didn't wanna sell it to me so she went in the next day and asked the same question. I love the world we live in haha.

I wish I could lol! But I don't live in US. And mt4gs isn't even sold in our country so my only choice is buying online.
alright, this looks like somewhere you would be able to buy, but the price is kinda steep. it runs about 80 bucks, and for that price i'm willing to just buy another case to hide the battlescars on my phone lol.

Hi all, I recently bought an S3 (i9300) and very happy with it
So now i've got my old S2 and not sure what to do with it.
I live in Hong Kong and the 2nd hand dealers have offered me HK$2,500 (US$312) for it but not sure if I want to sell.
Obviously if I leave it too long it will devalue.
What do you guys do with your old phones once you've upgraded?
Do you keep them for sentimental reasons and practice with or focus on your new phone?
My S2 is a nice white one which i've rooted and practiced flashing ROM's with but the money would be great.
I would keep it. Always good to have a spare in case the worst things happen.
$312 Is a pretty good offer, considering they're selling on eBay for right around that price.
I'd keep it for a backup phone.

Save it for a backup device unless you absolutely need the money.
It's always hard in these situations. I have loads of computer equipment and other stuff sitting around the house doing nothing for years because I never can be bothered selling.
I would get insurance on your new phone and sell the old..
Otherwise you will be stuck with the sgs2 and won't be able to make $$ next year

Sell the S2 and get some accessories for your new phone, maybe expand your storage with a bigger miniSD card or just keep the money incase you ever need it. If you keep the phone for some time incase you need it and you never actually need it, the value will go down as newer phones will overshadow your old phone and no one will want the S2 anymore.
Keep it just in case

It's tougher to let her go than the S1 but stuff in Hong Kong devalues fast so i'll take what I can get for it now.

I took this pic about a month ago so prices are a bit cheaper than shown.
Divide the prices by 8 to get US$ equivalent.
I paid US$510 for the S3 (i9300) at another shop.
Micro SD cards here are US$10 for 16gig and US$20 for 32gig.
SELL IT!!
Sell it and get the Nexus 7!

If only someone had said this to me a long time ago. Listen to him. I swear the craziest stuff will happen when your trying so hard for it not to. You may think your doing a great job protecting your phone (have an otterbox or whatnot), then your pitbull chews it up likes its nothing. Anyways. Take that great piece of advice! Keep it.
