Hi everyone, this is my first post here.

The sound quality of the video, such as concerts out very badly.
Has anyone exeperienciou this, and knows how to get around?

Any sugestion!?

Concerts are usually way to loud to record with a cell phone microphone.

Flash a kernel that supports voodoo. I use the netarchy kernel. It fixes the low quality audio recording problem.

G2X video cam audio

Stock G2X video cam audio is distorted by only moderately loud music. Has this been known issue?

Not the MT4G - it did not distort at much higher volumes.

Audio recording problems?

been jumping around from ROM to ROM, doing full weepies before flashing like you're supposed to.
just noticed that the audio recording for both videos and straight up audio recordings isn't as high of quality as it used to be. anyone else having this issue? it's almost like the noise canceling mics aren't being used

wipes, not weepies. Sometimes I hate Swype, haha

Can you tell us what Roms you've been jumping to? Are you using the HTC camcorder app?
From what I know the audio has been clipped in the 2.3.4 sense Roms if you have stereo recording checked. It has been fixed mostly in the 2.3.5 sense leak. But lately a lot of the Sense 3.5 builds have been using the Amaze camera where that high mic gain is back...

[Q] APP/MOD/HACK for Mic Gain while recording video

Hello!
Everyone knows about a piece of software which makes the camera record loud sound as for example on the iPhone4/4S?
Yesterday I recorded a video (Stereo recording UNCHCEKED) in a club - the video quality was OK, the sound was a distorted rubbish.
I searched the whole XDA, looks like SGS II has something like this. Anything for the Sensation?
Tried some suggestions - none working
Mine does it as well - I guess its hardware

The microphone of the Sensation is just ****. Nothing you can do about it.
Are you on an ICS Rom? The high gain got fixed in Sense 3.6. Also the camera in the market, Camera ICS, should help also. Its the same camera in the Galaxy Nexus. You can up the bitrate for better looking videos. The sound is mono, but it is not bad.

I have no problems with video. Loud audio (music) just can not be recorded - so far with none of the Android phones it seems.

DSP manager in CM10, no problem to control: the mic input - 4 levels. I can shoot videos with nice audio, for example a Rock Concert.:victory:

New Voodoo Sound Codec?

Hi all,
I am just wondering if anyone has heard of an update by supercurio for a newer voodoo sound codec for the g2x. The development on github shows nothing has been done on it in nearly a year.
I really like high quality music and a higher version is the only piece missing from my puzzle.
Any news at all would be great for better or worse. Have a great day everyone!

The g2x doesn't truly support voodoo, so he most likely discontinued work for it.
All voodoo can do on the g2x is amplify the audio.
I flashed the beats audio apk and used voodoo to turn up the amp.
Sounds great and I can get the loudness I wanted.

I wish there would be sound improvements with all this stuff but I see little to no difference! My real question is how loud do you guys need the music to be lol, if I turn it all the way up on my crappy ear buds I eventually have to turn it down cause its too loud, and my right ear is 60ish % cause of gun fire and fire works and stuff haha.

Just in my truck. I have a tape player with an adapter to use the stock stereo. The amp boost allows me to drowned out try he tape player sounds. Haha

Thanks for the feed back everyone! Looks like its v1 for life lol.
FYI I run voodoo sound (as I hear it improve sound quality), with Neutron mp3 player no settings on (improves sampling to 32 bit instead of 16 bit like other players), along with equalizer app with basic EQ setting to get bass n treble poppin and just the reverb set to large hall.
320 kbps mp3's sound out of this world on my Sennhieser 598.
That is what I found works for me. These days I am finding less is more for sound quality and no longer use beats audio or my fiio e5.

System wide audio boost

Hey people,
I'm coming from an HTC phone with beats audio. I enjoyed the volume boosting properties of Beats and am wondering if something like this yet exists for the Nexus 5. Audio through headphones is too low for me. Thanks

There is a faux kernel modification but I have yet to hear that this boosts headphone output as well. I hope so because it is the only major quip I have with the phone

I noticed the low headphone volume also. I hope Google ups it a bit in an update when they fix the speaker.
Yeah, it's definitely something that has been bothering me. The headphones that I have, because they allow in ambient noise, are not well suited for a phone with such low volume range. I really hope we can get an EQ flash soon. Something ala beats would be great.
