I thought that advertising warez sites / illegal copies of software was contrary to the usage rules on this board?
Mods, please confirm or remove - last thing we need is this sort of thing going on. If people really want to find pirated software they can and will do so, but this guy signed up just to post the same message twice.
GetJar is a legitimate site, don't worry

Just to let everyone know, Asphalt 6 is free on getjar.com.
I've installed the apk but haven't downloaded the extra files yet, no space on sdcard, apparently its a big download.
I tried searching their website but it didn't find anything, so I linked it here: http://www.getjar.com/mobile/326894/asphalt

No, it's not. Getjar distributes apps legally.
So your saying that the devs put it on getJar for free and on the market for >$0.99?

I stand by my statement on the OP. Getjar does NOT do warez.
Please stop flooding the thread now.
If you don't like the game, don't download, think I'm encouraging warez, report me.
Ok then. Do you even know what warez is?

Getjar is not warez, they are making agreements with the developers. So they are allowed to provide this Goldapps for FREE! So the developers will get there refund if you download the app from getjar! But its not allowed to post the APK files anyware in the web! This will be warez!

Do you even know what GetJar is? GetJar isn't warez, get your facts straight.
XDA has even featured GetJar in the portal. Learn, sir. Learn.

So if getJar isn't warez. Why bother even having a android market.
Sent from teh epic pony using XDA Premium
Why does Gameloft bother to have its own store? Or EA? Or amazon? Or Sony? Or Samsung? Oh wait, they must be warez since they aren't intertwined with the android market...
$1 gets you a reply
says not compatible with my asus transformer tf101, but asphalt 5 is ok. So downloading, thanks for share.
Oops, not even 5 is compatible as well, damn.

It's pretty obvious that you don't know what "warez" is.
"Warez refers primarily to copyrighted works distributed without fees or royalties, and may be traded, in general violation of copyright law. The term generally refers to unauthorized releases by organized groups, as opposed to file sharing between friends or large groups of people with similar interest using a darknet. It usually does not refer to commercial software counterfeiting. This term was initially coined by members of the various computer underground circles, but has since become commonplace among Internet users and the mass media."

You called GetJar warez, then said why bother having an Android Market (as if every single app on the Market is on GetJar... No one would be using Market if that was the case -_-..). what more proof than that do we even need to show you don't know the definition of Warez?

TRUST
you are loud and wrong
stop now while you are behind
getjar has been giving away paid apps for free for a long time, LEGALLY
by the way, thanks OP, just downloaded it
anybody heard of this??
EDIT: removed links forgot mods dislike this kind of stuff sorry.
but we can till talk about it
Yeah
From you. What is it?

From the sound of it it seems like an app that lets you download paid apps for free?
MOD EDIT: No need to discuss this stuff here
MOD EDIT: Links removed says that there are problems. My 2cents...developers arepaid very little for what they do and deserve to get compensated for your use. The arguent for piracy in music and movies is that the person who did the creative work gets very little profit from a sale, in this case 70% goes to the Dev and 30 percent to google. Some devs have said that they won't develop on android due to piracy(which has to be an overstatement of the problem)but if you want to keep the app community humming and the dev happy, buy stuff legit.
This is warez, piracy related and is not accepted on xda at all, didn't anybody read the rules?

Closed, warez or the discussion of apps dedicated to warez are unwelcome on XDA.
Hey guys found this on the forums and it works perfectly! Enjoy ;D

It's not against the rules because it isn't warez.
Its a freely distributed App, so it doesn't come under the scrutiny.
If it does change, and become a paid App from Amazon, then it becomes warez and you have to remove it. I don't think it will, because right now Amazon's got exclusivity over it. Plus, the games a bit like Temple Run, where you're encouraged to make "in-game purchases" to make revenue for the dev-company.
Thanks for the link, I tried for an hour to install Amazon AppStore, create a fake name, us address and credit card numer... to still get a "sorry not available in your country".
Should've used a vnc or something to "spoof" the isp to a USA one... but that would take too long for something not so important.

As every user of XDA should be aware, discussion of any kind of warez (paid software for free) is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Any further mention of warez software will result in further action being taken. Please consider this your one warning on the issue. Thread closed.
