xml editor
Ive used Xerces for hobby type xml work, its pretty good but at work I use Liquid XML Editor because its a bit more advanced which is why its not free, but then again just download it and use it free for 30 days under their trial licence.

I've been looking for a day or two here and have been unable to find anything, but i'm searching for any windows mobile application that i guess best replicates Notepad++. just kind of a simple text editor but also with color coding on html and javascript, etc. i think that'd make the usefulness of my HTC Fuze complete.
Ahhhh Like "Notepad2" That would be pretty sweet on a pda or smartphone.
I use cke (http://www.animaniak.com/cke/cke_main.asp) for my coding on the PDA.
It has script highlighting and other advanced options that you might find useful.

here is translation of quickpad a little big text editor from the same smart chinese guy as
quickmenu.
translation is not 'as should be' but it's working besides some miscropping (in file list dialog)
if someone here have MS tools to create mui, please drop me a text. i am 'on the road' and can't download full microsoft kit.
i only translated and changed some dialogs on it,
author of quickpad is:
Nanling
www.alensw.com
comments about software on author's webpage. chinese only.
i'll welcome comments about translation.

Great! Finally a text editor which is able to edit REG files.
Are there any other text editors capable of Unicode?

sure,
1. PHM notepad still works good, it's 2003 and discontinued, not even web home page works but you'll find it by "PHM notepad" can't open large txt, when opening new file, it will reuse the same instance of already running, closing actually open file, no 'find' option
2. orneta notepad
http://www.orneta.com/products/notepad/
looks workable, but not free ($10)
I only don't like it because it don't have a toolbar, it's frustrating to go to 2 level menu to hit 'find next' or cut, paste. just so useless
NOW WITH MUI.

I've searched through the threads, but cant seem to find anything that covers the issue that I'm having, so I'm posting a new thread
I'm trying to use the Android-ui-utils Android Asset Studio with the Pencil GUI prototyping tool.
Everything is working great, and I think this tool will be very helpful. However, I'm having some trouble importing icons from the Asset Studio into the Pencil GUI program.
I've watched the video demo of the program, and cant figure out how they were able to bring the .PNG of the icon from the Asset studio into the Pencil GUI program.
Whenever I try to do so, it either A) wont let me, since its not in .zip format, or in .epc format. But, whenever I try to download the .zip of the icons from the Asset Studio and import it into the Pencil GUI, it says an error occured, and it wasnt able to import it.
Does anyone have any idea what I can do to get these icons into the Pencil GUI program? I'd really love to use this as a way to prototype the layout and look of my application.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Anyone know of any good tools to decompile lib.so files from a game so it can
be edited, Using a hex editor and IDA 5.5 at the min but i am wanting to get it into
a string view like when you open an XML file, IDA is a decompiler but i don't find
it the best thing ever to work with and it doesn't really put it in a clear editing format.
cheers dudes
I've been playing around with a few of the free offerings out there. I was wondering if anyone has found a good xml/code editor that provides good syntax highlighting, and utilizes the transformers keyboard well? My biggest needs are for javascript and xml, but generic code editing for say python etc would be a bonus. File management is not really a driving case. Any suggestions/impressions are appreciated particularly for the pay for apps.
ASUS Transformer Infinity TF700 - rooted/stock
Motorola ATRIX 4G - Rooted/Currently Stock/No longer in use - anyone need a guinea pig?
Motorola ATRIX2 - vanilla
ASUS Transformer TF101 - now vanilla and given to the wife
Really I swear I've had lots of roms on these devices at other times.
You said you tried free editors.
Well, i think for anything good you'll have to throw in a dollar or two.
See AndEdit or DroidEdit Pro (this one works pretty good for me - JS, CSS, HTML, some Ruby...)
Keyboard is utilized, of course, but I don't know what you mean by effectively? Maybe some examples?
These editors have certainly nothing like TextMate or e-editor or notepad++ (like some automation of code snippet inserting and such).
Or maybe there is something out there i don't know about.
good xml editor
have you tried liquid xml editor? it has syntax highlighting and it should be bale to work with javascript as well.
