[Q] Marketplace download error 805a0193 over wifi - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I get error code 805a0193 when I try to download apps over WiFi. When I switch WiFi off, I can download them over 3G. I tried a HTC Tropy and a Samsung Omnia 7 on more than one WiFi network.
I also tried Nodo and Mango 7712 with the only difference that Nodo is not giving the error code but also fails over wifi.
Since I can download the apps over 3G, it must be some WiFi or maybe ISP / service provider issue?
I am using the South African marketplace with the Vodacom service provider.

Any luck Willie? I have the same problem...

No luck, it appears to be a marketplace issue. Hopefully when mango launches (and the official marketplace) we will have more info to troubleshoot.

Router or ISP?
I have exactly the same problem, but it seems to be isolated to my home network.
downloading via wifi at the office or at a friend's place works like a charm.
The only difference I can think of here is either the router (netgear) or my ISP (webafrica)
Anyone have any other ideas?

Same issue
Hi,
I have the same issue, also a Netgear modem and Afrihost as an ISP. I've logged several calls with Microsoft and they don't even know what is going on. I then installed Connectify and the Microsoft Network Monitor app (basically created my own HotSpot via 3G) an logged all the packets - it seems like the Marketplace server gives an "access denied" error... So am not sure how to get around that.

hmmm... so since you have a netgear marbur79, that MAY be the problem.
When I get a chance, I'm going to switch to 2 difference ISP's.
Namely, telkomsa and mweb. Will post my findings.
Perhaps you can try the same?

Are you guys on mybb at all? Anyway, same issue here, ISP is MWeb.

I do not think its the router. I tried d-link and netgear. I believe there is some issues with the marketplace setup if you access it from South Africa so Microsoft will have to fix it. I also asked the question to Microsoft. Follow the thread on

Yeah, I'm on mybb...what router are you using? I've tried this at my dad's place and it works perfectly, so don't think it can be a problem in SA.
He's got an elcheapo router connecting to telkom.

Netgear, but Mweb itself is getting 403 forbidden when accessing it. Telkom is working, but Mweb, WA, Afrihost do not.

So you've can safely say that its the ISP causing this issue?
I'll have a word with WB.

My ISP, surewest, is definately causing the issue. Free Wifi outside of my house works. Pre Mango works (dunno about Nodo, I just got the phone yesterday, and it came with 7008). ATT Mobile Data works. I disabled the firewall for a moment, and it still failed to work.

I am also having the same issue and it would seems as if there is no real answer yet?
I have WP7 HD7 with upgrade to full Mango 7720. I also received and updated an update from HTC (all updates over Zune). I am on Vodacom but with UK Live ID.
The small apps I can download over 3G, but the bigger ones request for WiFi.
I have switched to airplane mode and switched only the Wi-Fi on, linked directly to LinkSys WAG54AGS. ISP is Afrihost. I even installed a virtual WiFi network on laptop. No luck.

DNS Issue
Hi guys,
I found out that this is caused by a rogue DNS entry in the SA ISP's DNS servers. If you change your router's DNS address to 8.8.8.8 to use Google's DNS server instead the issue is resolved.

Works like a charm thanks mate!

Strange but works
Change locale. Switch off wifi. Off it goes. Switch back wifi. I'm investigating the reasons. Its windows. Same on Nokia.

Att Fuse Problem

Hello Everyone,
I just received a ATT fuse and for the life of me I cannot seem to get the WIFI to work. I've had the tilt and the 8125 previously and I tried duplicating settings to no avail.
Are there known issues with the WIFI on this phone?
I can connect to my WEP enabled wireless router, but opera and IE fails to connect and just keeps giving me errors. This is what I have read and what I have tried:
Setting to "work" instead of "Internet"
I've tried the cab files posted in another thread to disable ATT proxy
I'm a little lost in what to check. I did follow everything I've read here that came up in "WIFI" search. I have not unlocked the phone nor flash a rom.
Could someone lend a hand?
Sign up for the att media program...its on the attwireless site
This is a bit drastic, but an easy potential fix is to flash another ROM (after flashing Hard-SPL of course). AT&T often adds a bunch of unnecessary crap to their ROMs, which may interfere with normal functions. You could always flash the AT&T ROM back if you'd like.
Hi Animexi80,
I already have a data plan. The problem isn't with Media net, it is with the phone's built in WIFI.
Trancecoder,
Really, that drastic of a step.. Do you know of a rom that fixed a WIFI problem?
Thanks

Honestly, I never even gave the AT&T ROM a chance, so I was unaware of Wi-Fi issues. Pretty much any ROM should work. If you flash a Fuze-specific ROM, you may want to run the CAB that disables the hidden AT&T proxy. If you flash a generic Touch Pro ROM, you'll likely need to run a CAB that fixes the keyboard layout.
Ok, I suppose I will give it a go.
If I may ask, would you tell me which rom and radio you're running. It would help rule things out it it doesn't correct the problem.
thanks

What is the "hidden AT&T proxy?"
I just got an AT&T Fuze and after enableing wifi using the wireless manager, had no trouble connecting to home wireless networks with various security configurations (WEP, WPA, hidden SSID, etc.). Of course if the access point has the MAC filter enabled, the Fuze MAC address must be added to the allowed list.

I'm running an older PROven ROM, version 1.03. I'll be upgrading soon, probably to NATF's ROM. My radio ROM is 1.08.25.20, but (1) the radio ROM doesn't control Wi-Fi, so it's moot, and (2) it has not had very good battery life, so I'll downgrade back to 1.02.25.28 tonight.

It's a proxy setting, separate from the normal one under Connections, that is hidden. It's used to make things such as Cingular, er, Cellular Video work.

This is a bit off-topic, but FYI, anything below WPA/WPA2 cannot be considered secure. WEP can be cracked in minutes, hidden SSIDs don't make APs invisible, and MAC filtering is useless (except with WPA/WPA2) as anyone sniffing traffic can see client MAC addresses in the clear.
I have found that sometimes when I have both a "data connection" and a "wi-fi" connection that they phone seems to not lock on the wi-fi but tries to use a weak data connection so try turning off the data connection and see if that fixes the problem. Also give a soft reset a try as well.
Surprised by how few ppl are having wi-fi issues. I've tried about 6 ROMs now and have the same problem with everyone (guessing this proves its more of a hardware vs software issue)
I can locate and connect to a wi-fi network but no data transfers. I have to continually disconnect/turn off/reconnect over and over and finally I will get a connection..but if unit goes into sleep for a few minutes...I have to repeat.
Very annoying...no one else is having wi-fi issues?
Hi Everyone,
Sorry I haven't reported back sooner. I wound up loading a different rom on the phone and away went the problem.
jank0023, I have no idea. I would flash the phone back to stock and return it for another if all else fails. In all my searching, here and elsewhere, there ahve been a handful of wifi problems I came across. It doesn't seem like that common of a problem afaik.

If its your router try another channel make sure its on a supported signal (a,b, g)... lastly ensure your router is excepting all devices. I know these are basic checklist items but sometimes these can get us. I had a laptop that would only work on channel 6 ;-).

Thanks guys for the suggestions...I don't think its related to my network setup as I have about 4 other devices able to obtain signals with no problems using DHCP.
Issues don't seem to be as severe on some of the most recent ROMs I've used but still not perfect.

[Q] Google Earth not loading on Asus Transformer Andoid Honeycomb 3.0.1

Hi,
I have an Asus Tablet running Android Honeycomb v3.0.1. I have installed Google Earth v2.0.1 in it. But whenever I open the Google Earth Application, It waits on the main app screen for 15 seconds, then gives me this error message:
"Alert !
Google Earth can't connect to the network right now. Please quit and try again later."
Just FYI, I do have WIFI connected and running while opening this app. I have been getting this error since the time I bought my tablet (10 days ago). I have tried uninstalling and re-installing this app, but to no avail.
Waiting for a useful reply. Its a shame I am not able to access such a wonderful app on a nice 10inch screen.
Thanks.
2.0.1 works fine on mine. Strange.
Works fine for me too...

Im having the same issue :-(
Same issue with mine. Cannot connect to the network.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled as well.
Between this and the backlight bleed i'm none too happy. With all the good reviews this thing has been getting i'm a tad disapointed.
Just did the 3.1 update and it's still not working. Anyone have any ideas how to get google earth working? Every time it's cannot connect to network.
Have you tried master reset?
no i didn't try a master reset. Google earth was like the second or third thing i put on this after i opened the box and it didn't work straight off. I've seen a few other posts around the web as well with people with the transformer and this same problem and not one solution.
I would give factory reset a try...
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App
you can try to clear the cache of Google earth through the applications option in the configuration menu. That trick did help me a couple of times when apps did not work!
Ok did a factory reset. Went through the initial setup and the FIRST and only app i installed was google earth. Still the exact same problem. Cannot connect to the network.
The other computers on my network can access google earth fine but they are hard wired to the router. I just tried my phone over wifi and it can't connect either so it has to be something with my wifi settings on my router. But i'm stumped as to what it might be. Everything is set pretty much default. UPNP is on, just using wep for security.
Any ideas?
** Update
Stumbled onto another thread for a similar problem. I changed my DNS server in my router to googles DNS and suddenly it works. I don't even claim to understand why. Wired computers were fine, anything wireless didn't work until i switched the DNS server away from my ISP to google's. Any possible reason for this?
Your ISP is filtering/throttling.
Hmm, I'm also having this problem too. GE works on my wifi from my PC, and my phone, but not on my pad. I've tried changing the DNS in my router to google's (8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4), but still the same.
If I tether to my phone through 3G, works fine on the pad. Must be something with my router/network, but when it works on my PC & phone on wifi, I can't figure out why it won't work on the transformer!
Any solutions/ideas??

It sounds like your ISP is unable to resolve the google earth server's address.
Thanks for the response, but if was an ISP problem, wouldn't that also mean my phone and pc would have the same problem?
I'm far from being any way knowledgeable when it comes to networking, but I thought that would be the case??
C.
Same problem here.
An of course Google Maps works on the TF101 (it should look at same servers...), and Google Earth works on other PCs & telephones connected to same home network, so ISP DNS is not the cause.

No don't think that's the case. Every other computer on the same network was able to access it just fine through the same router and same ISP. It was only my phone and TF101 trying wirelessly. Even another wirless computer on the network was able to access it, it was ONLY the android devices that were having a problem.
Same hare, not working on the transformer, but i have no problems on any other device`s i own...

I've managed to try my pad on another wi fi network & it works fine on that system, but not on my home network, which will support Google Earth on my phone & PC, so the problem must be router/network related, but I'm damned if I can figure it out.

Have you tried what i did to see if it works for you as well? Go into your router and find the section regarding DNS and switch it to 8.8.8.8 and secondary 8.8.4.4 and see if it works.

WiFi connectivity issues

Just received my Nexus 5 today and I'm noticing some strange connectivity issues while on WiFi. Some apps would complain network is unavailable, Facebook would load with no pictures, etc. This happens randomly, sometimes after few minutes others - an hour(s). Rebooting the phone or even cycling WiFi off/on usually recovers it, until it happens again. Cellular data works fine all the time. It can't be the WiFi network I'm connecting to as I have a myriad of devices that have worked and continue working without any problems.
I tried 3 other WiFi networks (different routers) with different configurations of encryption as well no encryption, switching between 5GHz, 2.4GHz, no matter what, problem occurs sooner or later.
Noticed on Google support forums few users describing exactly the same issue, surprised I didn't find reports here on XDA. Maybe not many people got their phones yet.
Anyone else getting the same "treatment" from their new Nexus 5?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I am seeing exactly the same thing. Wifi will work great, then all of a sudden, nothing. Stays that way for a couple of minutes, then all of a sudden it works again.
How many bars does the sifi icon show ?
Number of bars doesn't matter. I can have full bars sitting a meter from the router and issue would happen anyways.
I tried playing with WiFi optimizations in advanced settings to no avail unfortunately. Hopefully this is a bug that Google can quickly fix with a software update
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Same here. Got my N5 yesterday and experienced the same at home. Same for my brother.
Hope that gets clarified soon. Not the nicest feeling having a new phone with that (or any) kind of issue...
Yes, my N5 started doing the same on my home wifi connections (using Apple's Airport Extreme 2.4/5GHz router).
The Playstore or Youtube apps would not display images or take forever. When I switched wifi off those apps worked fine.
I got it working again when I "forgot" my wifi setting for the 2.4 and 5Ghz channels then reconnected to the 2.4. I'll let that run for a day or so then try activating the 5Ghz.
Hmmm... This may have been what was going on here...

Hmm - no I don't think that's the one. Phone connects fine, just over time randomly does this thing with the connectivity issues.
--EDIT
OOPs my mistake...
I looked in Setting/Wifi/Advanced ...
I turned OFF "Avoid Poor Connections"
and everything seems to work the way i want ( when i tell it to go to Wifi, it does that )
--EDIT end
i added star to this issue because of same problem . If enough stars get added Google may get on it.
(Didn't know if I should create a new thread for this as it is a wifi issue but seems to be soemthing different than what the OP decribed, my issues are related only to playstore app downloading)
I too am having terrible wifi issues on my new Nexus 5. But mine are different from those described here I think. Whenever I cycle through the wifi, turn it off and on again it doesn't fix the problem (not temporarily and ofc not permanently)
When browsing the web, the play store and mostly everything it works great and is very fast, BUT when downloading or updating an app the wifi speed is practically non-existant.
Sometimes showing that it will take 25 hours to download a 25mb app :S
This while my Galaxy Nexus on the same wifi network is as speedy as ever.
I have tried factory resetting my Nexus 5, I have cleared the cache and data of the play services app and of the play store app, I have tried changing the wifi bands (from auto, to 5 to 2.4 and back to auto), I have turned off the wifi optimization, but none of those things helped. I even tried some DNS HSPC wifi settings thingy I read here
That didn;t help either.
I have unplugged my router and replugged it in but that didn't help either.
I literally had to leave my brand new Nexus 5 downloading all night just so that it could install the apps I wanted on it. So far for playing around with the phone on day 1
What makes it even weirder is that occasionaly the wifi issues resolve itself and I can get good download speeds for several seconds or sometimes up to a few minutes, but then right after it is straight back to crap speeds. Some other reported that only while making a portion of the map available offline in Google Maps their app download speeds were great, but that didn't work for me either.
I don't know what to do and if it is a hardware issue or a software issue. Please help me.
Below some info that might be useful to helping me solve this.
White Nexus 5 32GB
Bought from US play store
Shipped to and using it in the Netherlands
Currently does not have a SIM card inside (that is still in my Galaxy Nexus till the wifi issues are resolved)
Unrooted, only installed the mandatory update during the setup
All apps downloaded are apps that are also on my Galaxy Nexus which works without a hitch
Any and all suggestions/ideas/help are welcome
I think the problem somehow related to DNS. I found that if I configure static IP settings and point DNS to Google's instead router's, things work normally. I reconfigured my router to advertise 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as DNS servers for the DHCP and now for over 24 hours I haven't experienced the disconnection issue.
If your router cannot be reconfigured, try assigning static IP settings and Google's DNS to see if it helps.
I still believe that's a software bug on the phone, we can't blame a device (the router) that has worked for years and works fine with everything else but the Nexus 5, being at fault.

I currently can't reconnect to my Wi-Fi at home as it's stuck showing the last scan I did some 40 miles away at a shopping centre earlier today.
Of course none of these networks are now present, yet all mine are shown as not found!
Guessing a reboot will fix it as toggling Wi-Fi didn't. Mobile data is working fine.

DNS stands for Domain Name Service. What it basically does is to translate those easy to remember names such as www.Google.com to the actual numeric address (also called IP address) of the server that serves that site on the Internet. Home routers almost always sport built-in DNS service to speed up name translation requests from internal devices. What I figured is going on on the nexus 5 is it "doesn't seem to like" some DNS servers. Works fine with some, doesn't with others. What happens is at one point, for whatever reason, it stops being able to translate names to addresses and as result "decides" there is no working connection as it fails to connect to the corresponding servers. Google hosts publicly available DNS servers with the easy to remember IP addresses of 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which apparently Nexus 5 doesn't have problem working with. Once it gets "instructed" to use them instead router's, everything works fine.
At least that's what I figured is going on so far.

Thanks, but that wouldn't fix my issue right, because it doesn't explain why only play store downloads are terribly slow while the rest works fine.
Gave it a shot and at first it seemed to work, but after a short while the problem re-arose
DNS has nothing to do with weak or lost WIFI connections...
You can be perfectly connected, at full n speed to a WIFI AP without getting proper acces to Internet : THIS can DNS isue.
But in no way a DNS isue can leads to lost or very weak WIFI signal.
2 solutions are possible with Nexus 5 :
- WIFI module has the same badly coded shape as camera one...
- its hardware related wich, no need to say, could be the worst case...
I am having the same issue since day one. In fact it just occurred as I was replying to this thread. Mostly occurs when the phone comes out of sleep mode. However it will occur often and at random.

Strange Connectivity issue

Well, another strange issue with my brand new MM3.
Global rom there.
I noticed that two (and only two) apps ("Ip cam viewer" and "Vera Mobile") are perfectly working when connected to WiFi but as soon as I switch to LTE, they stop working.
The apps are launching, but says that there is a connectivity issue. Of course, I checked the regarding parameters (i.e. ip public adress, port, password...) on booth apps but as those paramaters perfectly works with another phone, I really don't understand what's this issue.
No problem with youtube, or gmail, or any other app...
Anyone can help ?
Thanks
Am I the only one facing this issue ?
This is probably to do with your Vera app settings. I don't use the Vera Mobile app, I'm still using Home Buddy, but the app communicates through the external MIOS servers unless you're in local mode (on your home wifi). Also, check the IP address of your Vera (you really need to make it static, or reserved on the router), otherwise you'll have difficulties in local mode if the IP address ever changes.
The other thing you can try is logging into MIOS through a browser session and check that it works, if not then you know you have an issue between the MIOS servers and Vera.

Thanks for your reply !
It works while logging through browser.
My vera's ip is fixed.
Furthermore, my ipcameras also have fixed ip adress, and the problem is the same with the "ipcamviewer app".
Every other apps are perfectly 4G working so... WTF ?
As I said, it's nothing to do with 4G or the Mix 3, it's because the MIOS server is unable to reach your Vera through a remote connection. I can't log in to Vera Mobile to take a look because I don't have the login credentials for the account I created when I tried to "upgrade" to a Vera Plus, but to resolve the problem you're probably going to need to talk to MiCasa Verde support. If you want to prove it, try connecting to a wifi network other than your home network and see if you get the same problem as when on 4G.
Maybe I'm not correctly explaining my problem.
First, I've got a Veraplus.
Regarding Vera Mobile app :
- local wifi : no problem
- other wifi network : no problem
- 4G with web brower : no problem
- 4G with VeraMobile app : issue
--> so I think it means that the MIOS server is able to reach my VeraPlus through a remote connection, right ?
Second :
Ipcamviewer app
Local Wifi : no problem
Other Wifi network : no problem
4G : issue
So I really really think that the problem comes from the MM3, especially since I previously owned a Mi Mix and there was no issue at all with both apps Ipcamviewer and VeraMobile...
All my apps were restored from my google account, so is it possible that the problem comes from a "cache" I should delete (restoring apps include ip adress, port, login and password).
If so, how to "clean the cache" ?
You can clear the cache on the apps by long pressing (not sure if this works on MIUI) and clicking info, then clearing storage. Alternatively, find the app list in Settings and do the same thing that way. This isn't going to be a MM3 problem. I have the same issue occasionally with Home Buddy and it's always a MIOS server issue. The connection to the MIOS server is actually the other way round, it's an outbound connection from the VeraPlus to MIOS, so you may also want to check that the Vera unit can get out. I couldn't live with UI7 on the Plus, so it's still sitting in the box and I stayed with the Vera 2.
Ok.
Let's suppose that there were a problem with the MIOS server.
BUT :
That does not explain why there would be a connectivity problem with the IpCamViewer app...
There have been tons of IP cam related problems for months, on all devices. I use YiCams and it works perfect on iOS. But on our MM3 and also Note 8, they don't work right at all. I see the same issues with all the major IP cam services. Xiaomi told me it has been some sort of persistent server problem, but why its taken 2 months so far to fix, I don't know.
My "best" guess is maybe they are all using the same push provider and/or 3rd party framework, and it has **** the bed (they all seemed to upgrade their apps around the same time, too, and they all look suspiciously similar)

Very strange answer from Xiaomi considering the fact that I never had this issues with my previous Mi Mix... Which is still perfectly working in 4G with both IpCam and Vera Mobile apps...
Still unsolved.
Am I really the only one facing this issue ?

What does that tell you?
More than words, this is what happen with wifi (first pic) and with 4G (second pic)

Question Lenovo P11 Pro WIFI problem

Hi!
Have had the Pro version for a while. It connects to my home mesh network without a problem. Asus XT8 (WIFI6). Works great!
At my work they also use a WIFI6 mesh network, delivered by Cisco I think. But I cannot get the tablet to connect. It doesn't even try to authenticate. My Pixel 5 connects no problem, also countless other devices, Samsung's, Apple's, etc. But my P11 Pro doesn't even want to authenticate. I've tried to reset the tablet, but didn't fix anything. It connected once and that was the very first time it connected to the work network. I've tried to use QR code from a device that has connection, no avail.
I've tried talking to my administrator, but to no help. My device, not their problem... And yeah, it most defiantly seems to be my device that has a problem. I found out they use WPA3 key (or at least has the option enabled), could that be the problem? At home and other networks I can connect to I belive is only using WPA2 key.
Android 10 is compatible with WPA3.
Have you tried "Forgetting" the SSID and trying to connect again?
Does the administrator have MAC address blocking on the router?
Thank you for answering.
I've tried deleting the SSID information from the tablet, but it doesn't rectify the problem. Same result, says "connecting..." under the SSID and the nothing.
I'll ask if they can check if the MAC been blocked! But, in WIFI options the MAC "spoofing"/randomizer in Android is enabled for this network
Try your MAC hardware address rather than random if you can. You'll be presenting to the router with different MAC addresses every time you connect and if they do have MAC address blocking then you'll be blocked.
I'm grasping at straws to be honest
Did you bought the Chinese version with global rom? because I bought it, and i was having problems with the wifi, I found out it was only with the 5 ghz network, it only connected to the Chinese allowed bands. The only solution I found was with magisk changing the props where the wifi region is located, but then you loose widevine L1.

I've talked to admin, they told me there's no special MAC ban. It's also NOT WIFI6 as I thought earlier, but 5, and WPA2-PSK. Same as home I believe.

No, this one is bought from Lenovo's website (DigitalRiver), based in EU where I live (Norway). One of the reasons I bought it was widewine L1 support XD.

I see no reason why it should misbehave then - strange.
Well, even then you can check if the wifi region is correct, you can go to the recovery and select "view recovery logs" and check the following props "ro.product.countrycode" and "ro.boot.wificountrycode" if any of this says "CN" then is the region wrong and the culprit is the lenovo oficial ROW rom.
ro.product.countrycode=SE
ro.boot.wificountrycode=SE
I think this would be correct as SE would correspond to Sweden. Norway and Sweden are neighbouring countries and I see often that many manufacturers doesn't have Norway as an option, but Sweden is listed (and Denmark...)
Or should I contact customer support and ask if I should have recieved one that says NO in these entries?
Well looks ok, you can use an app like wifi analyzer to see what channel is your work network, and if your tablet see it, if your tablet cannot see it, maybe they are using a forbidden channel (for example here in Spain you cannot use the 14 channel on 2.4 ghz network, but i found that some routers use it anyway), in case that the tablet find the network it can be a rom related problem. I doubt is hardware related because you said the connection is fine on your house and you can connect one time at your work. Anyway is not a bad idea contacting Lenovo customer support with the connection parameters.
It can see the network just give. In android and in Wifi analyzer app. Doesn't use any forbidden channels afaik.
Yeah, I probably should contact Lenovo.
Thank you for your help
Update:
Was in contact with Lenovo Technical Support. They hadn't heard about this issue before (OFC). But they recommended I do a what he called "hard hard reset" using Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant as the reset I've done is what he called a soft reset, using the factory reset in Android (not recovery).
So I'll try that and see if that helps.
I also asked about the countrycode beeing Sweden, I was told it is that for all Scandianvian countries.
Hello.
I have the exact same issue as BFalck. With the wifi in my home I have no problem while with the wifi at work I can't connect in any way. The network is seen and saved but the connection fails. I must say, however, that my unit is the Chinese one with the European Rom of Lenovo. BFalck let me know if with the "hard hard reset" you can solve. Thank you

Sorry to say, the hard reset didn't solve my problem.
Do you know which router/access point you're having trouble with? My job use Cisco air-ap2802i-e-k9.

I'm sorry but I don't know this detail. It is very likely that a Cisco device is being used, however. My company provides many wifi networks and the tablet connects to all but not the one that reaches my office...
So I had one of the administrators on site a couple of days ago. We've tried to error check the wlan. In the logs of the AP's the Lenovo tablet doesn't seem to even register trying to connect to the network. That confirms my suspicion there's something wrong with the WiFi in the tablet. Some kind of incompatibility with some devices.
I'll be attaching a image of the label of the AP's we're using.
I have this issue too.
My Xiaoxin Pad Pro ( installed with the Lenovo Pad P11 Pro ROM ) will not connect to my wifi 6 (ax) enabled router on the 5 GHz frequency for use with wifi 5 (ac), only connetcs to 2.4 GHz.
Really annoying. And I cannot disable the wifi 6 function to test connecting to ac-only.
Some backwards compatibility problems, perhaps. Or region specific configurations.
No issues to connect to 5 GHz using my old Netgear r6300v2 (ac-enabled).
Anyone able to connect to a WiFi 6 network?
Yes, no problem connecting to my XT8 mesh at home running W6. Workplace only has W5.
I managed to get it to work by changing the pre-selected channel option from ISP.
I had to find a way to bypass the locked option in the webUi in the router. (Praise the internet)
My ISP had pre-selected a higher channel range (B-range with DFS) and my P11 did not work with that.
The only other option was "without DFS" and that is only available in the lower A-range (channel 36, 40, 44, 48)
Hope this can help someone!
I can confirm as per previous forum member that this tablet cannot work with 5ghz control channels out of the A-RANGE. It is easy if the router is at home to be changed. At least in ASUS router. Maybe caused by CN wifi profile.aside from that I thinks this tablet is just perfect.
