I am new using the Android phone, I just got a rooted Samsung Infuse 4G and installed this Rom Manager.
When I click on Rom Manager, then Flash ClockworkMod Recovery, it gives me a list of the phone model but I don't see Samsung Infuse. Would it be Galaxy S? It has Vibrant, Capitvate Fascinate....etc not sure which one is same as the Infuse. Can anyone help?

I just got my infuse 4G yesterday and i have been trying to find the same firmware that is on the Att Samsung Galaxy S2. I have just learned how to use odin, and thats all i know how to get roms on my device.
Can anyone give me a working Samsung galaxy S2 rom that is able to be used on odin.
Currently i have
Firmware: 2.3.3
Gingerbread. UXKG3
Kernal: 2.6.35.7-I997RUXKG3-CL366622
Baseband: I997RUXKG3
I downloaded this from Rom Manager i think, the phone has a signal but it has no data.
Also everytime i try to install a rom using the ROM MANAGER the screen begins to look like a tv with a whole bunch of colors and it just reboots with no success at.
I ever got to install the 2.3.5 gingerbread for the infuse 4G but keep getting a #*999* email error and i dont know how to fix that.
Can someone point in the right direct step by step
The Infuse can't run Galaxy S2 ROM's. It can run Galaxy S (I9000/Captivate) ROM's using the Hellraiser patch and kernel. There are several ROM's to choose from in the Infuse development section of the forum, including both Infuse ROM's and Galaxy S ROM's already modified to work on the Infuse.

Ok so how about this.
Do you know where i can get a list of roms that work on Odin for the Samsung Infuse 4G, because that seems to be the only way i know how to install roms on the device.
ok to use odin means you cant flash hellraiser. that means if you dont see the firmware in this forum in a .tar you cant use it the way you are describing. basically all the odin roms here are return to stock packages(so far)
however if you flash a voodoo kernel or otherwise get cwm you can use cwm to flash any 2.3.3-2.3.5 rom in the gsm type galaxy s forums (not cdma) as long as you immediately flash the hellraiser package over it,. dont reboot the phone till after both the rom and hellraiser are both flashed!. many of these roms have heavy sgs2 theming. look especially in the captivate, vibrant and i9000 sections. do not flash anything for the i9003, epic, facinate (unless it's telus which is more like a vibrant), mezmerize or other.
I downloaded the ROM manager 4.8.0.2 and found that it offers Samsung Captivate (MTD) and another Samsung GalaxyS Captivate. What is the difference between these two? Mine is i897. Which is appropriate for my phone? Thanks,
mtd is for miui/cm7
Ok, what does mtd stand for?
MTD = Memory Technology Device
BML = Block Management Layer

BOTH are for i897. MTD is used for cyanogenmod and miui, The other is for all the samsung based roms.

Instead of using ROM manager, read the installation guide of the ROM you want to install. If ROM manager is used, it will tell you what to do.
Hey all,
Just wanted to let everyone know i used the root/cwm mod for "SGH-I727 and SGH-I727R Skyrocket" on this phone last night and it worked perfectly.
This new galaxy s2 4g is telstra latest released phone which only came out yesterday.
For those wondering phone model is actually "I9210T"
Crikey, Mate...cheers!
I am assuming then that this has the Qualcomm processor if CWM and root work.
Have you tried flashing any Skyrocket/Rogers roms yet?
Edit: Hmmm....looks like this is basically the international Samsung Galaxy SII LTE. It is nice to see that our community continues to grow. Just be careful when flashing roms. The new ICS leak works for the AT&T Skyrocket but does not work for Rogers yet so you never know until you try. Also, we can flash SGSII T989 roms as well but have to use our own kernel because the orientation is flipped.

No haven't tried any other rom's yet, only got the phone yesterday. So today is the test to see how long battery life is on 4G.
Also forgot to mention i had to download superuser from the market, as the one supplied from the download link failed to install through CWM.

It would be interesting to test modem/radio from your phone on t989 or i727.

Hello. I just flashed Cyanogenmod 10.1 on my Boost Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch using the instructions in the following post thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2243729). Instead of using the suggested ROM, I used a nightly build from the Sprint version of the phone. I see the yellow triangle on boot, but other than that and the fact that it shows "Samsung Galaxy SII i9100" instead of the SPH-D710 that I have. Will that make any difference for me? Or did I properly flash the ROM? Thanks!
