Are you using CM7 or a ROM based on it?

I had the same problem Using cm7. I just wiped it and really installed it and the problem went away

So I have been using CM7 on the current nightly, on the last update I did a complete wipe and fresh install, still no joy with it completely fresh. I was just wondering if it was just me or a nightly issue.

Never mind, I'd delete this post but I'm on mobile.

Cm7 Question

So with every daily build can I just flash it over the current so I don't have to redo my apps and layouts and stuff? Or will it be reset anyway?

I've flashed over the top and been fine you do have to install gapps each flash though

I got's a another question.
Everytime I launch the Settings app and select CyanogenMod Settings, the app crashes.
Does it happen to anyone else?
How can I resolve this issue?
I've used earlier ROMs but the settings app crashes also.

Try installing setcpu and seeing if that fixes it.
Just install it no need to open it.

Have you tried a fresh install? Always works ;-)

What do you mean by a fresh install?

A fresh install means wiping the dalvik cache and factory resetting the phone in recovery mode before flashing the rom. Best use titanium back up if you want to keep your apps

Do you remember doing anything to your phone before the fcs started?

If it always has been like this, you've most likely corrupted the ROM file during download.
Download it again and install it after doing a factory reset & caches wipe.

Thanx bro it worked!!!!

[HELP] Apps force closing?!

I have had my Captivate for a while but just recently, a lot of my apps have been force closing and I get the error stating that the process has been stopped unexpectedly. I'm on a stock GB 2.3.5 and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, deleting the data and cache, but it doesn't help. Can anyone help me on this?

Reflash to stock KK4 (The latest and last stock that is released by Samsung, which I'm using now, and having no issues at all), then if still persist, try to flash a custom ROM like Legend 5 to test if the issue is still there.
Refer to this page to DL One click KK4 stock.

Sorry, I've never flashed anything before so it's all new to me. Which links should I click on if I were to do this?

You can try to flash this: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1541942
The force close issue is usually linked to a full /datadata partition, and this script fixes that.
I've only tried this on CM7/9 though, so proceed with caution.

[Q] No Data after ROM installation?

Flashed my new G2X this morning, backed up my Stock build, and started playing with ROMs. Each time I installed a ROM, I could not get data. Everytime I restored my stock build, data resumed. This must be an easy fix.
Tried CM7.2 Stable, Hellfire Phoenix, and Eaglesblood.
What did I miss? TIA.
Check your APN. Hit restore default and it'll load them.

Brilliant. Thanks much. Figured it was something easy.
So, I've noticed that after a given reboot, the APN's will disappear. Restore to default does nothing, but if I reboot again they will come back. Is this common?
Reboot it happened to me

Never had a problem with APNs going missing myself. I'm on Wind in Canada though so there's the off chance that makes a slight difference. Doubtful though.
