Sim free updates?? - HTC Desire S

Hey
I have a sim free desire s but have only had the two small updates, does anyone else have a sim free with the same??
Software version: 1.28.401.1
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA App

Yep, same here. Says there are no updates available when I do a manual check.

Same version here. Phone is 2 weeks old.

Week or two before i get 2 small updates and some days ago i got update to software 1.47.401.4. Sim free desire s too

Same version and only 2 small updates.

Yup, 2 small updates. And then you can update to ver 1.47

I'm not sure whether I want the 1.47 update or not - some people are still reporting phone reception issues with it.
What puzzles me, is why have HTC NOT tried to push this update on to my phone?
If I do manual update check, it tells me that 1.28 is the latest available for my recently - purchased (sim-free) phone.
I would like to know how HTC schedule pushing out their updates. Does it happen all at once on a particular day when they are published, or perhaps they do it over a long period.
Ideas, anyone ?
Thanks,
- Steve

well there aren't really any bugs to fix in the shipped rom so expect the next update to be an android 2.3.4 update or the sense 3 and android 2.3.5 update

I asked HTC about it on their Chat thingy on their website someone told me "I am please to say that The Update is going live in Europe, but unfortunatly Orange UK id the only carrier getting the update at the moment." At least we know it's on the way! I guess.
I then said but Unbranded, T - Mobile, Vodaphone and others are getting it, the he repeated himself!

While I was on 1.28 I couldnt even get updates to 1.47 never mind this one. I asked HTC to reflash my ROM to 1.47 a few days ago. This Android 2.3.5/Sense 3 update arrived last night and I have been playing about with it all day
Unbranded? Also will I lose my data if they do this?

Yes unbranded. Your data will Most definitely be lost! Thats why you should back up any contacts to SD Card/Google Contacts. Calender to Google Calender. Tasks are more complicated Wireless and other settings can also be backed up.
I have an UK DS, completely original and standard (2.3.3 and 1.28.401.1). Using it on Dutch KPN network and also no update.
I have it
I recieved it on Tuesday unbranded stock 1.47 good update.
As stated in another thread, I received my DS 2 days ago, and it came branded O2 with latest Android and Sense 3.0.

Got the OTA as well today, but I don't really notice any difference.
It just patches some applications/lib/framework files.
No new hboot or radio though.
Then I won't hurry up and wait
Its for sense 3.0 with android 2.3.5 update or some update before it?
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA Premium App
It's an update for Android 2.3.5 with Sense 3.0
Updated, not noticed any significant improvements. Will check later.
Exchange inbox refresh
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know...
got the update too yesterday, and it brought a big improvement for me!
Now Exchange Inbox refresh works again...
before the patch it wouldn't sync read/unread and flag states of e-mails between inboxes on my phone and PC. It also kept piling up items in the phone inbox although i've moved them away on exchange.
Other than that I didn't notice any differences. Also the power button bug remains, though that is circumventable by activating the credential store.
cheers
After several hours, I can confirm that I received 3GB Dropbox bonus space, courtesy of HTC. Nice move indeed!
Just instaled update. Kinda no changes only live wallpers don lag no more with sense 3.0. Email works fine dunno about other things. Ty for let me notice update becouse i dont check them.

This version runs fine. No lags smooth windows transition and everything works. Connections to WiFi, data and GPS are flawless. Never encountered the power menu issue.
One strange reboot after entering an address into Dolphin browser. Sent a crash report to HTC

Does anyone know how does this compares to 2.13.206.1?
Is the 2.10.401.8 older, newer, or just form a different carrier or country?

2.10.401.8 is the version of the European unbranded devices.
I suppose that 2.13.206.1 is the same for other region or brand. O2 comes in mind
Example:
Europe: 1.28.401.1 -> 1.47.401.4 -> 2.10.401.5 -> 2.10.401.8
O2 branded: 1.31.206.1 -> 2.13.206.1

My One S shipped with incompatible software for the OTA

Hello when looking at the minimum requirements for the OTA I saw that my software version on my phone is older then the needed to get the upgrade. So far no OTA notification and manual check fails every time. Any help on what I should do?
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using XDA
Root it and enjoy. There's an HTC One X thread about routing without unlocking the boatloader, but it doesn't work on the latest ota update.

I don't know what software version you have, doesn't match any of these. I would take it to a TMO store and say WTF?
It's just super weird. I never altered the software or anything. It just came like this which messes with my ability to update.

I had the exact same software number too but was able to update to 1.84

The replacement phones, and very few initially shipped phones come with 0.15 baseband.
Those devices won't update to the new OTA. You have to first find the TMOUSS RUU for 0.16 in the development section and run it. Then when your baseband is updated to 0.16 you will be able to update to the new OTA.
edit - at least this is what happened with me. maybe it works on someone else's.

What software number does your phone say it is on? If it has the R2 in it I don't think you'll be able to get the update. It's different than stock. Stock doesn't have the R2 in it.
