I have read around the internet and hit mostly a dead end on this issue.
Has anyone seen info on being able to specify a proxy to connect to a wifi network?
Thankyou

Hello everyone,
First let me say what a great forums this is, thanks to those who created it and the people here keeping it active.
I been having a problem connecting to my wi-fi at work. Several people who have mac laptops and iphones are able to find the wi-fi and connect right away in my office.
On my ATT Tilt it doesnt locate it. I enter the network id and when the device finds the signal it asks for a network key
Would anyone know why it isn't getting a network key or where can I find the network key to the wi-fi device?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-impact2oo
The network detected is a security enabled network and you have to ask the network administrator for the key
Ok Let me Rephrase.
I'm having trouble connecting to Wifi hot spots, it brings me a Message telling me to Please Verify your Network Settings.
How can I verify my network settings?
I tried everything on the Manual, yet I cannot connect to any internet.
Settings/6 Connections/8 Wlan Settings /1 Wifi
hot spots will not connect for me.
The hotspot : menu/edit has these settings:
Network type: Internet
Auth: Open
No encryption
Key is auto
It tries to connect, but gives me that Above Message that I need to verify my settings.
Can somebody Explain or if its already been explained ANYWHERE, Redirect me to that Thread and Site.
Thanks.
Ok do i take this as the people of the forum are Rudely Ignoring me ?
Thanks alot

can you be more specific, i mean is the trouble with wifi connecting or when you try to access internet?

Click to collapse
The trouble seems to be with the Wifi Connecting.
It searches and finds hotspots.
Tries to connect and fails and returns a message saying change network settings or something.
It has never connected to wifi....
I live in the sticks and the evdo on my phone is the only high speed internet connection available.
I have no trouble using the ICS to tether to a computer. What I want to do is tether and then share that connection with other computers on the network. When I go to network connections and right click on the windows mobile internet sharing device icon and go through and choose to share the connection with other computers on the network it tells me that the ip address required for internet connection sharing is already in use.
I am guessing that it needs 192.168.0.1 for the network internet connection sharing to work, and that the phone (touch pro) is assigning it to itself when I start ICS.
Anybody have any idea how to make this work?
Thanks
Hi all,
I hope u can help with this.
Do you know if there is some way to configure your proxy in a wifi connection?
At home i connect directly to my wifi connection but in my university i have to connect via proxy.
So, at this point i've already connected to the connection with secureW2 aplication used in eduroam conections. I've estabelished the conection and everything is ok.. but i can't use it coz i've to configure proxy... in this wifi connection.. any ideas? there is any proxy manager or something?
Thks in advance.
Nothing guys?
Hello
I have swapped over my Windows Phone device for a new Android device, and i am having a small problem.
I am always in range of a WiFi connection during the day that only has Port 80 open, which i use for a lot of my work, but with only port 80 being open i cannot pickup my emails. With my Windows Phone the WiFi would go out looking for a connection and when it failed it would use the Cellular connection and pick up my emails. But i have found with Android with WiFi turned on it closes the Cellular connection meaning i cannot pick up emails while i am working.
I have searched the web for an answer but i have yet to find one. Does anyone here know of a way of enabling this?
Cheers
