[Q] How do you change font? - HTC Inspire 4G

Im using the Font Changer app from the market, but it doesnt seem to change anything. I tried every single FONTS and they are all the same. I rebooted the phone like it told me to for it to take changes.
Rom: MIUI 1.8.19v1(X's"
Kernel :LorD's Kernel 6.9.1 CFS

Rocking it. Set at 200/825 Conservative... Still on the hunt for the ultimate battery life. Also saw that this has the edited Build.Prop. don't know if that was you or Cyanogen, but noted regardless.

the nightlies still have the same build.prop, ladios put in a change in the gerrit but so far nothing
Does it have the default launcher or the ADW launcher? ADW is good but it has been sluggish if I do not use the phone for sometime.
If possible default launcher would be great.
Thanks

Just wondering does increasing hsdpa/hsupa really have an effect? When I just changed only hsxpa I got about the same statistics as if I had changed hsdpa/hsupa
Signatures are fancy.

It does alot. Reborn your phone a couple times then run speed test a couple times back to back. After a while you'll see a pretty dramatic increase

Thanks i have been looking for a good one and i will forward it to you if i find one
the only default launcher i used the app drawer was messed up so idk
Is there a way to just give us a flashable kernel? That way you don't have to be keeping up with nightlies.

I extracted the stock launcher (- Launcher2.apk -) from the SDK emulator and used it with CM7 nightly 43 a couple of days, everything was working ok.
I just noticed live wall-paper's settings were not saved between reboots...but it may have been something else, 'cause I like to get rid of apks I will not use, e.g. Androidian.apk, etc.
Can one use this kernel with liberated FR008 or is it only CM7 ?
its cm7 built from cyanogenmod source

I'm running this now, but for some reason the Settings / process com.android.settings force closes and the Market force closes all of the time. Is there any fix for this? I've wiped data / factory reset and wiped Dalvik cache as well. Other than that, it's a very smooth ROM.
EDIT: Forgot to add process android.process.media force closes left and right.

try fixing permissions?
I've tried a bunch of different settings / permissions, checked MD5 sums, etc... I flashed to the latest nightly and it seems as though all is good though. By any chance do you happen to know how to get the "Phone keyboard" as an option? Any file to flash over?
no...
Were you oc'd to 825?
Any chance you could post just the kernel? So we can just flash it over newer nightlies as they came out?

That only works on roms that can change render effect though right? I think the stock rom can't do that.
Tried it on the stock rom. force closes as soon as you try and change or click anything.

Thats probably because the stock rom doesnt support rendering effects. Itll probably work on cm7 but im waiting for a more stable release before i flash that

If you're running an official CM7 nightly (or a kanged version as well - I'm running the fitsnugly kanged CM7 nightly) go to:
Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > Interface > Render effect
It will have all the color calibration settings there. Enjoy!

What's the point of a theme that we can't use? It's cool and all but until we have CM7 why create a theme for it?

Doesn't fully work. The Dialer is not theme. Only things I'm seeing themed are the status icons and the lockscreen.
Im on linuxs first initial port of the cm7 (the one he built and posted a link to) i just flashed it and got a loop boot of the cm7 boot screen. Pulled battery and tryef wiping the dalvik cache seeing if that might help but still bootlopped. Had to reflash the rom real quick. is this a theme that takes effect agter flashing or should have this shown up in the theme chooser app that comes with cm7? Didnt work for me though (most likely my error)

Custom Boot Animations

Does anyone have a list or resource for putting custom boot animations onto this device? I can't imagine other device animations will work, but I've never done this. Searching has not helped me a single iota!
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
I used ROM toolbox pro to change my stock boot animation.

I have ROM Toolbox Pro as well, but none of the settings I apply stick. SystemUI icons don't change, and the bootloader animation stays stock. Am I doing something wrong here?

Me? I'm running stock rooted, but also have Bean's ROM as a backup. I can get the international boot animation to work, but nothing from ROM toolbox.

try that after the new build updating to imoseyons kernel with bootanim support and true init.d support as well as the rom will now be overclockable to 1.9ghz <3

Same here (root66 ROM).
The stock VZ boot animation annoyed me so much I wanted to punch a baby every time I started the phone & I installed ROM Toolbox (an app I normally don't use) to get rid of it.
I picked one of the custom animations, told it to DL & install & rebooted. The custom boot did not work at all, but it did get rid of the VZ [email protected] and turned it into the generic blue swirl Samsung animation with no sound which is what I really wanted in the first place.........
One thing ROM TB DID work for was changing the battery icon. All my icons where white except the ugly stock green battery icon.
ROM TB changed it to a white digital readout icon that looks perfect with all the other white task bar icons.
I have used Rom Toolbox on three phones now and the boot animations have NEVER worked for me. How can I do it manually?
If I look in the /data/local/ folder there is a bootanimation.zip but that clearly doesn't mean anything!
On the Droid Inc it was /system/media/ if i recall correctly. I looked in there, and there was bootsamsung.qmg or something. A Google search told me .qmg was a Samsung theme file. I am no themer but that may be worth a look.
Edit: ssnapier, i have checked on my phone in data/local/ and didn't have a bootanimation.zip might be where Rom Toolbox is placing it.

read beans post above, if you arent running a kernel with boot ani support you arent going to see it.
I know it has boot animation support now, but the reason I haven't flashed a recent version is because of the same thing that enables boot anim support. The kernel is unstable for some people.

[Q] double icons on update

Hi!
Sometimes when I update app from market (including my own app that works ok when updated manually) I get another icon for the same program, and the old one stops working (with not installed error) but stays there until I reset device. Of course it is not easily reproduced so I can't say what triggers that behaviour, but suspect that could have something with apps installed on sdcard.
I have 2.3.3 version of Android
Reboot

What do you mean by reset??
It might be due to some theme you have installed!!!

After I turn on and off it is all ok, but I still don't know why it is happening, and how to prevent it.
I don't wan't that to happen on some other device with my app, since I think that regular user doesn't turn phone off often
There is no themes or anything UI installed besides LG stuff that comes with a phone
