please provide more information. are you stock out of the box, flashed a rom, did any mods, clicked on a suspicious link either on the web or FB? Kinda hard to help you out with out more information.
in general, I have not heard of anything like this. BUT, if my thoughts serve me right, it sounds like your phone has been compromised.

Wow... this guy is a HUGE BAG OF DICKS!!! I don't post much, and I had a small issue with something that fkn was more than happy to reply with his knowledge and assistance.
This reminds me of many many years ago while working for a call center. Stupid user calls and gives you the worst description possible. Then you wind up having to write a thesis in order to get the information you need because they can't even describe the issue. At least they weren't trying to make changes to the system, they were just using it b/c they were smart enough not to try and modify something they know jack about.

Exactly! Nothing's more frustrating then finding your issue "solved" in a forum without any hints as to the issue.
Sorry about the quick exit.. for users in a similar situation I will post my Java settings for you to view.
The problem was within my main Java code.. I had the onClickListners defined as wrong buttons. I also didn't declare my smsActivity.Java manifest. Which basically meant that I was trying to open a "view" that the manifest had no clue it was there.
There's some excellent books on android whizzing about. In particular look out for the android app development for dummies.
Gives simple straight forward information on where to start with Java coding.
Hope this helped some of you out there.

Actually the patents are pending....Either way you could at least had the respect to ask me first. I helped you out of the kindness of my heart. I do not take donations for what i do. All I ask is for proper credit. Nothing more.....And you got your idea of "open source" all twisted. Google willingly open sources there Code. Google is under zero obligation to post source code. How ever....The kernel which is linux based falls under GPL License which is a requirement under GPL to be open sourced. No where in the GPL Agreement does "Scripts" or "Tweaks" fall under GPL. So next time do your research before you start speaking non sense.
Now let me be VERY VERY clear in my next statement...DO NOT POST ANYTHING OF MINE IN YOUR ROM WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Per Xda rules you need to obtain permission from the author of the Rom/Script/kernel before posting and give proper credit. Now I will be watching you like a hawk. I will let this slide this once. Well, I never gave up development for GenericGinger so I did nothing wrong. Reviewers removed me from the OP, and said I wasn't maintaining the ROM. So I made my own. Sorry if you feel that way, but I gave you, and everyone else tweaks, and wor credit. Notice the kernel was credited to PDT which is sduvick and ayoteddy, and your tweaks notes are still the same I added my name in as well cause I made adjustments. I understand your concern, but I'm not going to ask permission from someone who doesn't care about the future of the Sidekick 4G because they don't even have one.

Ok, this is working for me phone and all!
It is not quite the same theme as GOv2 because the power-widget is not transparent-black (and it is missing the news&weather widget).
Other then that, seems same as GOv2 but a bit faster.
Can we get back on topic. ReActiveDisorder should be banned from this thread and JiN1337 should be banned from his if he's even posting there. No body owns a script or text-file "tweaks". You didn't write the code that does something, you just learned of its existence and enabled it. Fighting over INI files... really?

Some may know me, others may not. I am Marcus, and I am currently starting a project on App reviews for the Infuse. How they run, are they worth it, how are the graphics, you know all that kinda stuff May seem stupid, may seem worthless. "Why cant we just look at the reviews when downloading the app?" I was just having prob with last week...via any ROM on my Infuse...I would clear it out and log off and reboot...it was fc or just stalling....dont believe there was an update on the app ?!?
I dont think there was either. It might just be a bug hopefully they are working to fix it.

I have a problem with not being able to open notifications. When I receive a notification, I drop down the notification bar and tap the icon. XDA starts to open then hangs, never opens. I am on Sky Ice, it has been that way through several updates, I have never been able yo open an XDA notification.

I'm not a dev either but think you might be able to unzip the APK on your computer, replace the icon.png, rezip. then replace apk to phone.

Oh yea, the search is horrible. Doesn't even give you the option to search within the thread or for a thread in the section.
That's why there are double post. People search and can't find it, so they post it again and then we have members getting angry about not searching and double posting.

Yeah, I have been wanting to ask a question about XDA's notifications, and search on the app was not helpful. I was concerned about making a new thread, then somebody getting down on me for making a duplicate thread.
I could already see the comments, "you should search before you post" "I will not help, because you are lazy" So it goes not getting the help, we request.
Not to mention names but it's the same few members who troll the forms and flame or report everything.
I honestly think that until the search engine for this app is fix that members who flaming for duplicate threads should be ban for a 12 hours. If you think about it, that flame is going to make the thread unless because it will just be a battle between the op and the flameer. Instead of helping out the op as a community or posting the link to the original thread.

some of us actually like using our xda app (search included). paid for it so most people expect it to work. personally, after realizing that the app's search is not working, i almost always try to log in and use xda and google search before asking here.
there is no need to be defensive or sarcastic here. if you feel the need to report then do as you wish but don't expect everyone to like what you are doing. some people are honestly just clueless regarding the search engine.

I have the exact same hanging issue. Tap notification, opens xda, hangs/loading indefinitely. Were you ever able to resolve it?

You're just a big child. You see a post you don't like and cry to your dad (insert name of favorite mod here) and get it shut down. Some new member started a thread and you reported AND flamed him/her. Instead of trying to be a tyrant you should be pointing new members in the right direction. And if someone's phone is not working, you should actually try to help before crying to the mods. You hold the exact same amount of power as any other member. If someone's phone isn't working right for whatever reason, don't turn them away just because there's already some large thread on something remotely similar to their problem. Those types of threads don't get users as much help (especially if it's an urgent issue) as a single thread.
It's like if someone was lost on the way driving to Tampa and they asked you for help, and you told them they were noobs for not knowing every detail about the trip before they went on it. And you reported them to have their car towed because they didn't get help from a group talking about how to get to places that are kind of near Tampa.
