I was just wondering if the Bluetooth stack could be changed to support a wiimote connection? I know it will run on Samsung devices running CM7 so I thought I'd ask.

Unfortunately the only way you can get the wiimote to work is with CM7. I've done a lot of digging, that's the only solution.

Right, because it has a different bluetooth stack. What I want to know is, is there a way to change our current bluetooth stack so that it too supports a wiimote connection.

I already have a Harmony One with the IR to BT receiver but I think it would be pretty awesome to control the menu/Blu-Rays with my N1.
It can't be that hard to develop. If you had a BT keyboard you can connect it to the PS3 and you can mimmick the controls with certain keyboard buttons. (I think, haven't personally tried it but the functionality should be there for EVERY buttion. So far I've just tried the arrows.)
If I knew a crap about developing I'd do it myself.
Do want!

Yeah, I would pay for this as well. Definitely $5-$10.
Anyone find anything that can do this? I think Google tv is coming out with something like this for Harmony remotes but its only for Google tv.
Hi, I was wondering if this was possible. I actually was looking to see if there was such an app..
Anyways, just started using my PS3 again online and I didn't have a keyboard. Figured there might be an app in the market for that to use your phone as a bluetooth keyboard for the PS3.
Any takers on this request??
+1 This would be great, also an app to use our Androids as a mic and headset would be great
This would be great. The best way to get this to work would be for the phone to act a a standard Bluetooth HID. Then you could use it on anything. Keyboard or mouse.
This would be the bomb!

We've been asking for this since Droid 1 came out. No one has been able to do it.

Does anyone know of a fix? the app I'm using to connect the wiimote says it may not work on unmodified Samsung phones I am rooted does the mean it requires something In the Rom or kernel?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA Premium App
the problem is with samsungs closed source bluetooth stack. you get bt 3.0 but the way it connects to devices prevents it from working with the wii mote. i cant remember if it is kernel or rom related. i know design gears changed the stack back in the early days of his cognition rom but he said there were "problems" he didnt elaborate. so it can be changed and likely isnt that hard but it may not work 100% on a samsung rom
Did anyone try this on their rooted SR yet. I'm new to rooting so I would like to get more info before I root it. It would be nice to know if the Bluetooth controller is compatible on our device.
Thanks

The other option is using phonejoy analog controllers.
Does anyone know if the PS3 controller work on our phone through Bluetooth.

Its not working for me, but this is my first Android phone so its very possible the issue is user error.
no it doesnt work.. the dev for sixaxis got it working for the galaxy s II but i guess the bluetooth stack in the skyrocket is different from the standard galaxy SII so it doesnt work for us.
Yep, I couldn't get it to work on mine either. Oh would be nice to have that controller though.. Uggh..
The ps3 controllers now works. The phonejoy controllers also works.

from my experiences I was never able to get it running on ICS only JB
I wish there was a way for it to work but I think you would have to contact the developer for that
CyanogenMod have better bluetooth utility add-in, and yet, one more problem - some Sixaxis controller requires USB-OTG to get bluetooth ID. (my paid-for version requires USB-OTG or it can use bluetooth ID pulled from PC with Windows utility).

I have an ipega Bluetooth controller and pairs fine out of the box with my 3D optimus Cube without root.

That depends on type of joystick drivers. Some doesn't require root, other do strictly require root (due to nature of Bluetooth IO).
