Are you using a custom rom? I just got mine today and plug and play isn't working. I'm on insertcoin 2.2.3 right now. Not sure if the rom has something to do with it?

Im using a custom rom and have no issues so far, im using energyrom currently.
make sure you are using a charger with 1A output, a usb port and another 500ma charger i have dont work so i guess dont provide enough power.
make sure your tv is on the right input too, if your tv disconnects certain signal pins when channel isnt in use it may not appear to work on your phone.

so far its fantastic and i think you will he happy but of course it really does depend on the source file quality.
all phone menus output at 720p frame size and look ok considering they are scaled up so much., i guess 1080p video will be scaled down.
Htc Watch rentals/downloads are only 960x540 (some are 720x576) frame size and have a bitrate of about 2000kb/s, they look average at best on a large screen but are watchable.
Blu-ray files encoded to mp4 720p 3000kb/s looks very very good for a single pass, 2.9gb file for 2 hour film.
2000kb/s was very pixelated and no good.
im encoding the same file at 4000 and 5000kb/s to see if the phone is capable of playing such high bitrates.
videos play as smooth on the big screen as they do on the small screen.
i notice a slight judder but then the phone seems to do this on all vidoes but then im looking for it so do see it.
really happy with my mhl adaptor, well worth £8

It's gone up to £14.99 (probably due to the increase in sales) however I picked one up from Amazon for £10.99

just wondering, are you able to play 720p movies with no lags at all?
If so, are u using software encoding or hardware encoding?
thanks!

Projector?

Has anyone actually found the projector for sale anywhere?
Got mine for $180 by calling AT&T. Works great, although a fine adjust for the focus would be better than trying to move the slider microns...
Also would like to find an app that would allow manual over-ride of processor speed change, to maintain constant fps quality for movies...
Also recommend BlueAnt M1 bluetooth speakers for viewing movies with good sound while charging the phone.

Wait what? I thought that actually _came_ with the device!
(Then again, I also thought my HD2 would come with a capacitive stylus)

I use TCPMP Youtube Stroths version or Coreplayer 1.3.0 Build 6213.
With Coreplayer, I keep it set for Raw Frame Buffer with High Quality.
All my videos get converted to 100% quality .avi and keep the original video size. Some of my benchmarks are in the 300% range, although on battery I usually have some dropped frames and charging no dropped frames.
HTC G-Sensor Patch(thanks chainfire) working/now working list
Look for the version of CorePlayer ripped from the acer s200, i think its version 1.3.2 and make sure rendering is done by gdi.

I got mine right after valentine's day and I share it with my wife, at the moment i use nero 9 recode and use the ipod setting to convert videos to 480x800 resolution and they look flawless even at 100"!
Is this projector compatible with LG IQ? Does AT&T sell this to non AT&T customers?

Well the AT&T Business web site is showing the Projector in stock again. I just ordered mine and hope to have it here this weekend. I'll post and let everyone know if they fullfill the order on time.

how long does the battery last while using the projector?
Battery Life is pretty Good. I was playing with the projector for a couple of hours. before I had to throw it back on the charger. I haven't tried a constant run yet to see how long it takes to kill it from full charge to dead.
I'll try and do that this week and let you know.
Oh By the Way. I ordered the Projector on Thursday. Paid and extra $18 and had it by 11:00am on Friday. So AT&T does have them in stock and are fullfilling orders on time.

Battery life {constant projector}
I tested the projector life while watching Sherlock Holmes. Its right at about two hours. I was using MP4 at a resolution of 480x272 30 fps and total bitrate of 450 kbps. It played flawlessly, and looked pretty decent. Infrared thermometer showed the device got up to about 52 degrees C at the hottest surface, which was the back of the projector that was sitting on my desk while watching. Battery started at 100% and I had to shut the projector off and charge the phone just as the credits came up. Looks like two hours is pushing it, considering I took the phone off the charger and immediately started the movie.

External battery charger

Can anyone recommend a decent external charger for the Desire HD battery? Thinking of getting a spare battery but want a way of charging outside the phone.
Cheers.

Yeah, you can usually find these things on eBay for pennies. Maybe in a week or two...
I have one of these that I occasionally use for my G1. It isnt amazing and charges very slowly, but with a high quality battery it should help a little on the go!

Ok I'm in as well
i found this one
ebay Item number: 120640014972 (new users aka me cannot post external links )
which is a battery powered portable charger rated at 5000maH and charges the battery in the phone.
that battery cover worries me so i dont want to have to open it too often. also it means you dont have to wait for the device to reboot. not sure how accurate that 5000mah is, but i should be able to fit that and my phone in my pocket for a couple of hours to charge.
not ideal, but i dont trust non-brand batteries, especially if im importing them from china since i have no legal comeback if it explodes in my phone because they are not a UK company.
This is the link -
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....e-All-Categories&_fvi=1&_rdc=1#ht_2465wt_1139
It does look really good actually. I like that you can charge two devices at one too. Anyone have any experience of these? I think I'll order one...
Mobilefun do one for around £20 that docks the phone and has a slot for a spare battery to charge aswell. Not in stock last I looked, but ill be buying one of those.

More Nexus 4 accessories showing up on Play Store

Hi all,

The links did not go anywhere but this is what was showing up for me (up until about 2-3 PM yesterday:

These accessory prices are eerily similar to Apple's.

Makes sense, it is an LG sourced phone after all.
I am really happy that LG is taking being a Nexus partner seriously. Samsung sucked at it despite getting 3 stabs at it. They didnt give a damn about the Nexus S or the Galaxy Nexus despite even getting thier stupid little moniker on the device name. Also, they still havent produced any accessories for the Nexus 10.
LG, on the other hand, made a superior phone and appears to be making a real effort to keep up stock and source accessories.

Iv been doing some digging and it turns out that the headphones in the picture in the OP are in fact the LG optimus G/ LG Quad Beat.

Or search LG Quadbeat. I think they are currently only being sold in South Korea, (Lucky which is where i am atm)
Also selling for 18.800 Won which is about £11.10p

i figured since the 3 people who ordered their other Qi charger were satisfied that i would give this one a shot...it's a decent price and i like the looks...and it has a buzzer as well as an LED to let you know when it's done charging
Let us know how this one pans out.
I bought one of the DT-900's (on sale).. it worked great for 2 days.. and I haven't been able to get it to work since with my N4 (still works fine with my N7).
Only thing that really interests me on this one is the 1A charge, seems like that would definitely be on the high end for Qi chargers.
All of those pictures are CGI. I would wait for real photographs.

I´ve just got it. Looks nice and works well, BUT it plays a moderately loud sound when you put your nexus to charge. This is very annoying because i use it when i go to sleep and awakes my wife.
Obviously i am not going to risk my marriage for an iq charger Anyone knows how to disable the sound? I´ve opened it, but i´ve found no buzzer in the circuit. I don´t mind breaking the buzzer if needed.

ORZLY USB A to USB C Cable Set

I thought I'd share as they finally got delivered. Still says it will be delivered on the 13TH of next month...
Orzly® Multi-Colour Value Pack of USB 2.0 Type C (USB-C) to Type A (USB-A) Cables (1M) for use with OnePlus 2, Nokia N1 Tablet, Lenovo Zuk Z1, and Other Type-C Supported Smartphones & Tablets https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013RMG5WY/
They are USB 2.0, but I know I'll need some spare cables at home, in the car and at work.
The cables are much nicer than I thought it would be for this price. They actually are a beautiful color with a clear surrounding on them as you can see in the pictures. The end all have this really nice speckled metallic appearance. The connectors look like they're pretty well made and nothing feels cheap. I will say the cables themselves are a little floppier that I was expecting but I've noticed this from flat cables a lot more.
Only cost me $19 for the 4 cables. Let me know if you guys have any questions, I'll answer what I can.

They may, but I don't care, that's why they are spares. I've got a few others on the way and one of the dual port ones from Google work the long cable.
thanks these will probably work great for a nice slow trickle charge through usb at work!

That's what I was thinking, when you can't find your good cable and need something to keep it alive, or have to move some files or pictures at work.
I have these but haven't used then yet. They feel very cheap to me. I don't expect more than 500mA. I'm sure they'll be great for a trickle charge until they fall apart. I expect to keep them for that reason only, even if they only last 6 months.

Yeah, I could barely care if I lose one, just a spare. I didn't think they felt super cheap though. Did you get the same colors?
