Thanks.

I tried out real hdmi but I couldn't get it to work. It recognized being rooted and the plugged in hdmi cord though. It just wouldn't output the video signal through the cord. Have you tried this app with an xt720? Are there any other ones that could work?

Hi,
Is there any possible way for HDMI or Tv input, say from a camera?

You mean like watching pictures from eg a camera on the DHD screen? If that's the case then no.
Edit: You can ofcourse always move the files to your microsd card and watch them that way.
Yes if you can get the camera streaming the signal over wifi. Other than that - no way you can get a live feed on the DHD's screen.

You can use the inbuilt DLNA feature to transmitt movies and music over a network.
But you need a DLNA compatible TV or a Xbox or ps3
I have some problem...
can someone point me to where to find decent quality/priced cable for my Inspire 4g/Desire HD to output to a HDMI port on say a TV?
Use dlna

The Desire HD/Inspire unfortunately do not support HDMI out.
They were designed to use DLNA for all video out.
could you guys forward me to tutorials or information on any hardware/software i need?

This is your best bet if your TV does not support DLNA streaming:

There could be cheaper alternatives though.

Thanks - just tried it and it works well.
This is what u need:
http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=207010
HTC Desire HD Media Link DLNA Adaptor.
Media Link is a DLNA multimedia adaptor converting your non-DLNA TV into a full DLNA certified TV.
Simply power on and connect to the HDMI port on your TV, Desire HD will be able to wirelessly stream video/movies (up to 720p), photo, and music content stored on the device to DLNA-enabled HDTVs or to standard HDTVs via its new Media Link adapter with HDMI out.
Has anyone had any success getting MHL hdmi adapter to work with cm7?
Not yet. I haven't flashed the ROM myself because of this reason. but I'm sure its gonna be fixed before the full release. I can't wait to hook up the ps3 remote for the emulators while using the mhl output. Hello n64oid!

Idk
I really like the hid support with the rom, but it's just not the same when you can't output hdmi. Hopefully someone else can confirm if it is working, because I can't seem to get it to work.
out of topic but related, does anyone feel its possible to get the USB host functionality working on the Sensation with CM7 or with any firmware?
I got my MHL/HDMI adapter cable in today. It's the real deal, the correct one for the Sensation but it won't output anything while i'm using CM7 Alpha 8. I like CM7 because they use the correct bluetooth drivers for the sixaxis controller app and emulators are great now. But no dice on outputting them or movies to the tv.

If you don't have the apk or the icon in the phone must have been removed from the rom version You using. I there are some apps in the market for dnla server you can try that way.

have you tried the HDMI ?
schubeir
Or just put the vids/pictures on a USB drive, and then plug it into your TV.
It is advised to convert the .jps 3D pictures into .mpo first, otherwise the TV will destroy the aspect ratio. (unfortunately)
(Use 'Stereo Photo Maker' to convert from jps to mpo in batches!)

I subscribe to that. For me HDMI was the only way - continous and fast, to see 3D on my LG 3D TV. All other stuff that implies the use of Wifi or ethernet is not good to use - pretty low speed of streaming data and on USB it's more likely to have conflicts and errors due to improper format or codecs.

No, USB works perfect.
Why would a video made with an LG device not work on a LG TV?
Like I said, I'm doing this all the time.

I remember last time having properly working HDMI-output somewhere around ICS-times. I feel poor without working HDMI
Is it possible that someday we get it to work correctly?

Framerate is too low and the output resolution is under 720p so there is no way I can scale it fullscreen on my 16:10 tv.
Framerate drops to insanely low also on device screen immediately after you connect the HDMI.
It worked on ICS last time I remember, it broke when JB came.
Non-working HDMI out

Mine has not worked at all since ICS. It does not display anything to external monitors over the micro HDMI port. I have tried 3 different brands of TV and 2 separate HDMI cables so its not that. The output did work on ICS stock but I upgraded to jellybean stock and it stopped working. I am currently running CM11-20140308-SNAPSHOT-M4-tf300t and it still does not work.
Must be your cable. .... omnirom and cm11 both work without an issue for me.
Pic is my tf300t running omnirom 4.4, connected to my Sony NSX-24gt google tv. Also works on my 50" hisense led tv.
Audio and video are fully functional.

Cant be, this is still the same cable I used on ICS when I got it and it was working correctly. Im running on latest CM Nightly atm..
Could it possibly be a hardware incompatibility with newer roms...?

I have seen others say some TV's are picky. Im not sure as I ran the latest nightly of CM and my hdmi out was working properly. Have you tried the latest Omni homemade build? If you flash back to a 4.1 rom, you get working hdmi on the same tv? I dont think it makes a difference but you could try using the same recovery and BL im using as well. I wonder if the BL could cause a driver issue?

Hey, i must have, missed something.
Are you saying that you got a rom working with full HD on the Asus tf300?
Or is het just outputting to HDMI the same pixels as the tablet has? Which is less than full HD.

The TF300T never had full working HD via HDMI, only ever 720p.
The changes that occurred in the newest kernel release (10.6.1.27.5) only allowed 1080p output for full HD videos.
Having said that, it would appear that the CM11 kernel (meaning the custom ones as well) are still based on the 10.6.1.15.3 kernel
EDIT: DERP!! No the CM11 source does contain the changes for 10.6.1.27.5 I'm just blind

The OP isnt getting anything working. My tablet is outputting just fine ( as screen shot shows ) using omnirom. Ive never had any issues with my hdmi out. Im thinking some just have very very picky television sets. Ive got a high end sony and a low end hisense. ....both work fine. Hopefully the OP figures it out.

Im sure the problem lies somewhere in my tablet.
I have tried with same cable that worked on ICS with three different Samsungs and on my own Benq TV where it used to work with ICS.
Same problems that I described occurs with all TV's I have tried yet.
No HD AFAIK
