Hi,
Is there any possible way for HDMI or Tv input, say from a camera?

You mean like watching pictures from eg a camera on the DHD screen? If that's the case then no.
Edit: You can ofcourse always move the files to your microsd card and watch them that way.
Yes if you can get the camera streaming the signal over wifi. Other than that - no way you can get a live feed on the DHD's screen.

You can use the inbuilt DLNA feature to transmitt movies and music over a network.
But you need a DLNA compatible TV or a Xbox or ps3
I have some problem...

The Desire HD/Inspire unfortunately do not support HDMI out.
They were designed to use DLNA for all video out.
could you guys forward me to tutorials or information on any hardware/software i need?

This is your best bet if your TV does not support DLNA streaming:

There could be cheaper alternatives though.

Is there a certain app in the Android Market that could do this using perhaps a PS3?

HTC Desire HD Media Link DLNA Adaptor.
Media Link is a DLNA multimedia adaptor converting your non-DLNA TV into a full DLNA certified TV.
Simply power on and connect to the HDMI port on your TV, Desire HD will be able to wirelessly stream video/movies (up to 720p), photo, and music content stored on the device to DLNA-enabled HDTVs or to standard HDTVs via its new Media Link adapter with HDMI out.
The Netflix apparently works great on my g2x,so I tried using HDMI to my 720p TV and it comes out crappy video quality. Dual video on the phone and TV, phone looks great. The TV looks pixelated and stretched.
Anyone have a solution?

Sooooo I just bought the micro USB to hdmi adapter dongle so I could output video from my sensation to my TV. sadly the quality for videos and pictures is not as good as I was hoping; there's a little too much noise and cookies just aren't very crisp. Are there any drivers I can flash to increase the quality? Or, are the drivers in ice cream sandwich better? Any info appreciated

What resolution are the videos you're trying to play?
Just standard YouTube videos and such. even pictures alone there's that noise where the color just doesn't look quite right. Really hard to explain

I bought one and it worked great on my LCD tv. Netflix and games, YouTube, everything works well. But at a Hampton Inn, the tv kept resetting the HDMI interface. The phone kept playing the movie, etc. But the TV wouldn't play the video.
I suppose the interface of the TV is hosed 'cause its a hotel model and needs to fail if it's stolen.

Hi,
New to the world of Android and loving it so far. We have two new devices. The wife has a TF300T and I have an HTC Evo 3D (Evo V technically). Would like the option to use these as remote controllers for a media center.
I was wondering if people had any media center recommendations? Should it be Android powered as well?
I was checking this out but I don't know how compatible it would be with our devices? The price is what caught my eye of course.

If your just looking for something simple that is wife friendly, how about a roku player? There is a roku remote app. I'm not sure what kind of streaming you'd be looking to do but it works for what I need (Netflix, Hulu & streaming video from my pc using playOn)

We really don't pay for any streaming services. I'd like it to be able to play any video format. Have a fairly large xvid collection. I thought being able to control it from her transformer would be a neat thing.
I agree that a Roku box is probably your simplest option, but from what I can tell it doesn't do xvid. It will play files from a USB flash or hard drive, but only files it supports (MKV and MP4 H.264, I believe).
I stream xvid using playOn. There is a cost to it though, it's $20 a year (at least it was last year)

Just looking for some suggestions.
I have a pc hooked up to my tv now and it's really quite overkill. All we do with it is stream videos from other computers in the house and watch Netflix.
I'm sure these little android stick things are powerful enough to do this.
Can anyone recommend a good one to replace my puter? Just need to be able to stream HD Netflix and play videos.
Thanks!

If it's just videos, probably any of the dual-core devices will do fine. You may need to use an Android 4.1 rom, as the Netflix app is broken on 4.2 for most or all of these sticks.
The mk808 and mk808b are both around $45; the former has slightly better support while the latter has Bluetooth. I have the b model, and it is great for Netflix. (I also use it with Debian in the background to run my IRC connection; it's got plenty of excess power for that plus videos.)
