OK so out of the box stock email force closes on me when trying to set up an email account so I assume this is what you are talking about. If you use titanium backup you can restore data to the stock email and this will fox it for now. If you don't have a TB backup I am now sure how to fix this issue at the moment. Going to look kore into it tonight when I get home

Email is broken!
Stock email app is in fact broken. I just tested it on CM7 Nightly #172 Clean install and I got the same results. So this is not specific to my mod.
Like I said in the first post, you can restore your data via Titanium Backup and it will work but trying to set up an email account for the first time causes the crash. Will look into maybe reverting to an older version in my rom or maybe a different email client all together.

I just uploaded a quick fix for some inconsistencies in the default system theme. Sorry about that I am still learning a thing or two about themes. This will be applied to the next release so this is good for 0.5b and below and should work on all those versions.

I don't know how, but in this ROM, MLB At Bat is offering me live video. Unfortunately, I get a black screen with audio when I try to view it.
Once I do this, no Flash video will work within the browser, but if I reboot, Flash video will work again.
Got me excited there.

Uninstall Adobe flash and install the one from this link:

Well, now I get a picture -- a still picture. It displays one frame and then doesn't move. Audio still works though.
I tried letting it sit for a few minutes hoping it would get unstuck, but no dice.
I tried on both wifi & 3G.
No biggie; I've been living without it all season. I was mostly curious why it was offering it to me when it hasn't on any other ROM. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have it, but it isn't a defect in your ROM.

This fixed my exchange issues.
Rooted - CM Nightly 7/26
Edit......it installed fine but seems to be having some issues running properly. I ran Fix permissions from ROM Manager that seemed to help the FC's. Now it is not working for at all.
Either way thanks for the post shoman24v, this is what makes android the best os out.
I dunno if it does or doesn't support exchange, but for what I use it works lol.

Not on froyo but my company mail is on exchange. This was a good fine because the HTC forced me to use a password on exchange. Once I loaded this (month ago) one and the mail came in I then deleted the HTC exchange account and do not have the use a password if I don't want....
I do wish I could find the developer for future updates...I am staying with it but I would like to see:
1. like HTC touching a phone number bring up the dial pad...it does not
2. No signature...even if just for new emails
3. No sorting of mailbox (dates, etc)
4. dark background is fine but would like an option of light or dark...
Anyone know where the source is....is it on the market..???
There are two versions of this mail client. One for 2.1 and one for 2.2. I have the one for 2.1, and am still looking for the 2.2 version. I think it's called email 2.2.apk but not sure.

I found it (2.2) on here, it is working in my froyo I installed last night. If you I'll post it when I get home later.
Thanks to Jhernand1102 for posting the apk to MobiTV. It's posted over in the captivate section so I figured I would download it and give it a shot. Upon boot it froze at the startup screen (using Evil's Rom). Someone running CM6 got a could not authenticate error message. This would be a great little app to have so hopefully one of the XDA wizards will be able to get this working for the N1.

The link you posted is not active. With that being said I also would love to see this app working on the nexus one. Like you said we have a lot of smart people here at XDA that would have no problem figuring this out. Ill pay to get this app working on my phone.

no need to crack this works 28 trial on vanilla rom only works on evil's rom on demand channels. Live channels and demand work on vanilla.
Hmmm I Downloaded the link you posted installed and it just shows the MobiTV logo. Not sure what that means. But I'm scared to use it since I'm actually on AT&T and dem bastard might actually charge me.

Yes on evil's latest rom but you have to physically interact with the center of screen to get it started once you click the channel. Meaning leave your finger on the center of touch screen until the channel comes on.
I'm getting the same problem. A big "m" and it just sits there. I'm on T-Mobile using cyan's latest rom

First of all, XDA doesn't do anything. That is simply the forum. It's the developers, many of them with jobs, kids and other responsibilities, that give up their time to help you. So at ease.

Are u experiencing any lag with handcent?? Like when the message is received it takes like 5-10 seconds longer till the phone notifys me even tho im viewing the message thro the quick reply screen.
Everything seems normal. But there are some things you have to change. In send settings, you have to tell it to split messages or ones longer than one text wont go through. Set it to "split by word" for the best results.
Also, disable the lockscreen popup if you have the stock sense loclscreen since it wont work and will wakelock your phone. And lastly, disable the lockscreen from turning on your screen so it doesn't turn on in your pocket.

I think i may have figured out part of the problem but not the whole problem. I had Blur background checked off which slows down pop up performance, so that might fix some of it hopefully.

You can use Handcent to get chatbubbles like that. Also chompsms but chompsms has ad space whereas handcent only has them in settings.

How are they **** apps? They offer a lot more. No stock messaging apply will give you a quick-reply popup or let you send a quick text by holding the search button.

Okay so this is really bugging me. I have Adam's aosp rom with Lord's kernel. I installed flash 10.3 and flash videos on all the website are not working. I get only sound. BUT ads before the videos play fine!!!
This happens for comedy central, south park, adult , m.flash.com etc.

Tried Miren, stock, Dolphin, Skyfire. How come video ads play then?
I noticed this issue too with other browsers but it works fine with the stock browser. Its so weird.
What version of Adobe flash is installed?

Did you try clicking on the black area where the video plays? I sometimes have to do that with CNN videos or ESPN.

Yes. I did click. Double click goes to full screen. As I said before flash video ads work, sound works as well.

Has this ever worded on this ROM? Tried clearing browser cache? It might be ROM related. Try asking in the thread that your ROM is from.

I have had similar issues with Miui roms and CM7 roms. I got mixed results when I disabled the adfree app. I have noticed that videos that say "not optimized for mobile" are a higher quality causing the issue. I noticed this especially on youtube when I would toggle 280p from 380p the video would appear. The youtube app itself works just fine though.

You have your thread list. Tap on a thread and it opens the thread. Slide right for a new text and left for the thread list. In the time it would take you to watch a video demonstration you could just install it and play with it for ten seconds then keep or uninstall it.
That said it works nice, but is a little janky and stuttery on my N4. Nice concept though and looks good.

You should be fine freezing it. Although when you receive an MMS, it asks you to open the stock app as they aren't yet supported.

I will be looking into these fcs tomorrow, I believe they have something to do with searching through the contacts in the phone book. Are you using stock android or something like Motorola or Samsung software? Thanks for testing!

i'm sorry, i havent done much language support with it so i really have no idea how it would behave in Czech... it does break messages into more than one if over 160 characters in the english language at least.
