[CRACK THAT APP] MobiTV

Thanks to Jhernand1102 for posting the apk to MobiTV. It's posted over in the captivate section so I figured I would download it and give it a shot. Upon boot it froze at the startup screen (using Evil's Rom). Someone running CM6 got a could not authenticate error message. This would be a great little app to have so hopefully one of the XDA wizards will be able to get this working for the N1.

The link you posted is not active. With that being said I also would love to see this app working on the nexus one. Like you said we have a lot of smart people here at XDA that would have no problem figuring this out. Ill pay to get this app working on my phone.

no need to crack this works 28 trial on vanilla rom only works on evil's rom on demand channels. Live channels and demand work on vanilla.

Hmmm I Downloaded the link you posted installed and it just shows the MobiTV logo. Not sure what that means. But I'm scared to use it since I'm actually on AT&T and dem bastard might actually charge me.
Edit: I just saw the added notation under the link.

No need to crack this app as others have said, I've been using it since it was posted in this thread in July.

Not the same one as new one, all channels work and that link you posted is dead. (including on demand and full screen resolution).

Are these expiring trials?

Yes on evil's latest rom but you have to physically interact with the center of screen to get it started once you click the channel. Meaning leave your finger on the center of touch screen until the channel comes on.

I'm getting the same problem. A big "m" and it just sits there. I'm on T-Mobile using cyan's latest rom

Honeycomb Music Player

This is the new music player for android its not done yet but it works. I've been using it for two days now and i havint had any problems.
Install through Root explorer
-Do a NAND BACKUP!
-Delete the Music Apk. found in System/App and replace with the new one
-restart your phone
-Clear the data on the new Music player through settings, Applications, Manage
Applications
-Enjoy!
Theres a cool feature where you long press the song title while playing and it brings up a menu to search the web, youtube, Pandora for info and video of that song.
Landscape mode is very nice looking also.

okay, stock froyo 2.2 on LG Optimus P500 ...
my first attempt on something like that...
i'm rooted so i used rootexplorer and navigated onto "system/app" then, copied music.apk to my SD Card
after that deleted the original music.apk and put there the com.google.android.music.apk, after that rebooted my phone so nothing happened!!! :/
I have my backup of original apk at my SDCard so now im trying to revent to my previous state and nothing happens! My music.apk is on it's original location but i cannot use it ... i mean no signs of my media player, nor i can install it from that location... actually i have no media player now :/
So dissapointed, what to do? :S

am i the only one who this music app is lame?
id much rather use the MIUI music app.
if anyone can get me that apk then we'd be rockin!!

Clear the data on the new music through applications/manage applications, your music will show up after that

May be your particular ROM. I'm using CM 6.1 Stable and have the lock screen controls with the Honeycomb Music Player.

Oh, and does anyone know what this app is called Jumper Test that shows up after the installation of the HC Player?

Jumper is going to be for streaming media its not working yet

gracias sweet cheeks..

im running SR3.5 and it doesnt have lock screen control and it seemed a lil buggy while navigating thru songs, maybe because I have so many. I really wanted to use this player, but lock screen control is a must when Im on the go.

Hopefully soon we will get the lock screen control

I tried to get drocap2 to take a picture of the lockscreen controls but it (drocap2) doesn't seem to stay running after putting the device to sleep and rewaking....or it's something I'm doing wrong, but like I mentioned before, the controls are there on CM 6 Stable.

thats weird? are you using an Incredible or another phone. Def no lock screen controls here. I like the stock music player sorta but its really bland.

About to give this a try to help confirm that it is indeed working for the g2x.
Side note: I am currently running Nexus AOSP and tried flashing the zip to that rom but it only produced force closes
I will respond back shortly with the results or flashing this to the CM7 31 build.

Alright well i have done everything but am a bit confused on how to actually test it to see if it worked correctly. Any tips / steps would be appreciated. Thanks!

Unless he did other changes, that'll only give you 15fps.

Just shot a video longer than a minute and it runs smoothly... I'll upload it to youtube in a min.

i assume you meant 25fps and yeah, good point. i missed the 25fps/30fps difference - though i'm not sure it's meaningful in practice

Anyone know if this works on the leaked GB g2x Rom or if it even could? It has the AOSP camera and just not real nice for what the phone can do.

So apparently the video I shot earlier was only 720p.
I reapplied the mod with the latest cm nightly and re-shot another vid @1088p. It gets 15fps from start to finish (it's about 40 secs long). It doesn't get choppy, it just has a slow frame rate. I used the "high" mod, btw.

Maybe try one of the other mods?
You haven't done anything to prevent the update replacing the camera app? Or maybe some system app titanium backup thing?

No, it's usually the last thing I do after a full wipe. I haven't fully wiped in about a week though... just running on nightly's lately. I'll flash the cam mod again and see what happens.

No problem downloading or installing on CM7n34, Trinity EXT4 Kernel. Thank you for this everything works great.

OK so out of the box stock email force closes on me when trying to set up an email account so I assume this is what you are talking about. If you use titanium backup you can restore data to the stock email and this will fox it for now. If you don't have a TB backup I am now sure how to fix this issue at the moment. Going to look kore into it tonight when I get home

Email is broken!
Stock email app is in fact broken. I just tested it on CM7 Nightly #172 Clean install and I got the same results. So this is not specific to my mod.
Like I said in the first post, you can restore your data via Titanium Backup and it will work but trying to set up an email account for the first time causes the crash. Will look into maybe reverting to an older version in my rom or maybe a different email client all together.

I just uploaded a quick fix for some inconsistencies in the default system theme. Sorry about that I am still learning a thing or two about themes. This will be applied to the next release so this is good for 0.5b and below and should work on all those versions.

I don't know how, but in this ROM, MLB At Bat is offering me live video. Unfortunately, I get a black screen with audio when I try to view it.
Once I do this, no Flash video will work within the browser, but if I reboot, Flash video will work again.
Got me excited there.

Uninstall Adobe flash and install the one from this link:

Well, now I get a picture -- a still picture. It displays one frame and then doesn't move. Audio still works though.
I tried letting it sit for a few minutes hoping it would get unstuck, but no dice.
I tried on both wifi & 3G.
No biggie; I've been living without it all season. I was mostly curious why it was offering it to me when it hasn't on any other ROM. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have it, but it isn't a defect in your ROM.

I downloaded the leaked ICS music app from android police last night. It's a really smooth music app, the crappy 1x4 widget lets it down though

unfortunately I dont use any other music player besides Google Music Player
because of Music Beta support
I hope Google will release some sort of Music API, so that any player can access the MusicBeta Cloud
but this new version of the Music is app is REALLY cool
nice design - and finally thumbs-ratings are possible from within the app.....
compared the version 3 , this one is AMAZING!
be sure to uninstall version 3, before you install this new version 4

I have a strange problem with the Google Music. After the install and give you access to premises for my beta account, the application begins to occupy many megabytes of indiscriminately, the worst part is that after a reboot my playlists are incomplete. Anyone else you think of anything similar?
