Unstable Core Boot Animation - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

Saw this on youtube today and thought it would make an awesome boot animation
Anyone know if this has been done for the EVO or want to create one?

Ok I tried the sense landscape one 2 times, and it causes me to get stuck on the EVO 4G splash screen.
My boot animation is in data/local and linked to the system/customize/resource folder.
I renamed the zip and moved it there.. no go. I opened the zip, and extracted the zip inside and moved that, still no go..
Any ideas?

Edit: I cleared my dv cache with the same results. I'm using Amon-RA.

HoneyComb Boot Animation

I'm not sure if this has been posted here and I'm not taking credit, all I'm doing is bringing this over from AC
Boot zip(place in system/customize/resource folder) using root explorer or something similar.
Using CM roms, place zip in system/media - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NMC0ZHLC
DON'T FORGET, IF YOU'RE MOVING THE ZIP, TO ALSO RENAME OR MOVE WHATEVER BOOTANIMATION ZIP YOU ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING
Enjoy!
EDIT Removed the link for the flashable zip since people are saying it's not working. Again, this is not my work and I simply moved the bootanimation zip using root explorer. It's very simple.
Thank you ill flash it right now
Let's take a look...
Thanks for posting, but this really isn't anything new. I've seen this boot animation on several ROMs before.

::boot animations::shut down animations::tutorials for both::

With permission from the very gifted grafix man TonicAcid from the vibrant Forum. Here are some already made Boot/Shutdown animations.
Plus a tutorial to help create your own
Click link to be taken to his thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=862537
Understand that these files are set up to be flashed with CWM which we do not have. They have to be Non- flashable and moved using Root Explorer or similar app.
I am awaiting a reply from TonicAcid that will tell me what needs to be removed from CWM version to make them work right for us.
(Edit) confirmed: we can pull the bootanimation file from the flashable files and push them with root explorer or something that does the samething.
If you create any Non-Flashable Boots post them for others if you like:

then you're pushing it to the wrong place. you place bootanimation.zip to system/media. shutdown sound goes in system/media/audo/ui. shutdown folder goes in system/media/video.

Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
hmm....so....
you downloaded an animation from this link, right?:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1053250
when you download the file, it comes in a zip file. open the zip file and you should notice a system folder. open that system folder and open the media folder within it. you should see a bootanimation.zip. that file is the one you are copying to system/media on your phone, right?
i know some people simply download the file and rename it to bootanimation.zip. they are actually renaming the cwm flashable file and not pushing the correct zip. you do not have to rename anything during this process. i would say to try and flash it, but for some reason, it never works for me, but you are more than welcome to try and flash it yourself. the above method is just in case that doesnt work.

ARG!! how OCD can I possibly be

So, I'm loving CoreDroid, but it bothers me that it says DesireHD in the Phone info screen. I found the instructions to change it (and made the change in my coredroid zip file), but do I really want to set my phone up for a second time today just to change one entry?
In reflection, I think I will just check this particular entry in all future ROMS
Since it is the same rom and version, you should be able to flash right over top of it with out a full wipe.

Don't quote me, but it should work just fine actually what you could do is just delete everything and reflash the files you want to replace, this is how a theme is flashed.
So put the .xml file I need replaced in a zip in the proper folder structure, delete the file from the phone, boot into recovery and flash my zip?
I'll def be making a nandroid first, but thank you so much!
Speaking of nandroid. Does a nandroid capture EVERYTHING (apps, app data, call logs, etc) or just system state?
well what I would do (like you said) place the xml in the correct file structure, and then just delete anything else inside the zip that doesn't need to be flashed.
you shouldn't even have to delete it from the phone.
yes everything on the rom partition.

Do i need a custom rom for this to work? Found this and have had no luck
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=701295
so your on the rooted stock rom. if your going to flash a rom i would do that first cause any bootanimation you put on will be overwriten when you flash a rom. and look into flashing amon ra recovery and making nand backups before you make any changes
start here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881747
flashed to this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=830153
Tried following instructions there for changing, can't see a folder at all labeled as /data/animation
let me look into this rom i'll get back with you in a minute. go to the market and download es file explorer if you havent done so yet.

[boot animation] zelda boot animation ^^ V2!

hey guys i just made a Zelda ocarina of time high res intro bootanimation^^
respects go to this video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8DbnGlpq5M for the base of the boot animation and the sound. Nintendo for the amazing game and me for my time
the video is set to just play, my phone usually boots about half way through it but oh well first time making one ^^
push both files to data/local and all should be grand
also depending on which rom it could also be in system media (cm7 type roms) or in system/customize in some sense roms ^^
also for the wildfire i know the audio cuts. nothing anything i can do
and for users that cant get audio to work with cyanogenmod 7 roms try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364636 although im not sure if this will work on cm7 derrived roms.
that being said i have went back to the drawing board and i feel i have improved these greatly, i removed the n64 intro to improve the sinc with audio and they are far less choppy ^^ but should anyone want to make it faster or slower open the zip, edit the desc.txt file. the last number on the first row if frames per second. ^^ so download time
EDIT: download links added to one rar file. rename your prefered one to bootanimation and use
commments and suggestions please DOWNLOAD
if anyone wants this resized for a different device pm me with the screen specs and ill do my best
