HTC Event shceduled for 1st September in London.
Link: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=156903357723767

Ya, they are going to announce HTC Sentimental 5G.
More likely a Honeycomb tablet announcement... which is way too late to the market.

[Q] Why not too much info for the U.S?

I have read several rumors that the Sensation will come to T-Mobile USA June 8th. That rumor was back in early April. Getting a little worried because there have been no rumors/or any news on this phone for folks in the United States. I really can't wait to get my hands on this phone. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.
It went through the FCC last week. http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/05/htc-sensation-4g-hits-the-fcc-shows-off-t-mobile-friendly-aws-r/
Yeah I forgot about that. I am just so anxious for this phone. Its getting harder and harder using my Blackberry Bold 9700. I really would like the June 8th date confirmed by T-Mobile USA already.
LOL you sound like me. I'm looking to get rid of my BB as well. Well for now I'm going to try and keep the BB as data only for BBM. Have way too many contacts there :S.
I come here a few times a day to see if there are any new info.
Did you see this post?
forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13719751&postcount=7
on the website it says t-mobile
Looks like June 8th is the day.
Hells yeah according to this new article the sensation 4g will be released on the 8th as rumored. Can't wait to get my hands on this sweet thing.
http://www.tmonews.com/2011/05/t-mo...s-june-8th-release-date-for-htc-sensation-4g/
Come on June 8th.

When is it to be released?

I just wondering is there a solid date when this phone hits the US, I hear the 8th but that might just be rumor, have T-Mobile or HTC announced anyhing THX.
Several sources have confirmed it will be released on June 8th. In fact, T-Mobile's leaked roadmap says it will be released on that day.
Hey,
Well not to be a **** but I am a proud owner of one already as one of the first few in the world (no its not a review unit):-D
But American Release date on t-mo is June 15th and in Walmart on June 12th

Probably October, they always have some Nokia event where they launch new handsets.
September will be all about the N9.

They won't. I've read interviews with Nokia execs who have made two things very clear. First, the timetable is too short to get the new handsets into every market this year in any kind of volume, so don't expect a flood on day one. And second, even given that issue, they recognize the importance of having new hardware in the market this year, including in the US.
I would expect the major geographical markets to see small/moderate numbers of Nokia handsets by the beginning of December, with a significant expansion in Q1 of 2012.

Lets see if it works. Hopefully we can have a Nokia handset (I want that sea ray/N9) in our hands in Oct or Nov!

Its about time someone leans out to the carriers...
...there is going to be a Nokia event in Germany on Sept. 17th and there are rumors that Nokia is going to show final WP7 handsets...
It's actually August 17th, next week but according to some sources they won't unveil any phone (from thisismynext.com).

Seemed like LG lied to us. Again

During the second quarter of 2012 upgrades will begin for the following smartphone models: the LG Optimus LTE, Prada phone by LG 3.0, the LG Optimus 2X, the LG Optimus Sol, the LG my Touch Q and the LG Eclipse.

Q2 doesn't end until the end of may (12/4 = 3 => 3*2 = 6 -> June). But the fact that tmo has failed to mention anything about the ICS update and is instead pushing a 2.3.4 GB fix May 14th to issues that should've been dealt with since launch date is very concerning to me.
oh what.
I thought it's
1st Quarter: October 1, 2011 - December 31, 2011
2nd Quarter: January 1, 2012 - March 31, 2012
3rd Quarter: April 1, 2012 - June 30, 2012
4th Quarter: July 1, 2012 - September 30, 2012
Still a few days left for a miracle gents.

How did they lie, that is for all the European versions P990, not the US/Canadian versions P999. We have not been promised ICS as yet. Anything for the P999 will be posted on the LGUSA Facebook page.

Any promises made are for factory unlocked LG branded (non carrier) phones like they sell here in Thailand. Phones with custom carrier firmware need carrier approval and payments of large sums of money to LG for a major OS upgrade. Not lucky to get for an EOL'd device. T-Mobile has better things to do with their money than pay to upgrade a device they no longer sell. The 2.3.4 was probably considered a maintenance update which is either free or at a very low cost to T-Mobile. If it addressed certain bugs which are covered by LG's contract with T-Mobile than the update to 2.3.4 would be free for T-Mobile. Don't expect an official ICS upgrade, and if you do get one consider yourself very, very lucky.

That's a fiscal year. Each company can choose it's exact dates for the beginning and end IIRC, but the US Government does use the plan you laid out.

The feds determine when you fork over the revenue they did not create. Companies are free to run their own plan. I wish the government played by the same rules of those they take income from.
G2x definitely isn't getting one. We will just have to port the O2x ICS build.
Sent from Narnia
well at least O2X is getting ICS officially and there'll be no problem porting it to G2X
Tegra 2 drivers will be there n all that broken ICS stuff will be up and running
lets hope it'll happen soon and not in last days of June
Oh he's saying it and so am I.
Yeah the guys over in the e937/c800 thread don't like it when you tell them theres no ICS coming to those pieces of crap. Kiddies are reporting people for telling the truth that dashes their little hopes into pieces and you get slapped by mods.
Go Nexus, or go home. I will never give my money to LG again. When my girlfriend wants to get a android phone I won't even sell her my old one I'll pay for her Nexus if I have to. Give my middle finger to the carriers and budget phone makers.

The Federal Government's fiscal year begins on October 1 (so FY2013 will begin on 10/1/12), and I think some colleges have their FY start in September. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?
But if we're not talking "Fiscal" years, just regular years, then Q2 ends at the end of June.

Which is most likely to happen?

Which of these 2 events is most likely to happen as "planned"
Friday December 14, 2012
Rumored (for the 75th time) Jelly Bean Verizon release date
Friday December 21st 2012
Rumored (for the 75,000th time) End of the world.
At this point, I'm almost inclined to say the world ending is probably more feasible than Verizon actually delivering. At least Armageddon doesn't come with tons of bloatware.

They've updated that post with the following, so I wouldn't hold your breath:
Update: We aren’t sure why, but Verizon just changed the support docs back to a previous update. We’ll keep an eye on it and see what happens.
