Any new ROM without a fault

Hi there - I would love to change my originally rom but I don`t know if there is a ROM without faults which is at least like the original ROM ?
Compared to the original rom - which self-made rom has the same progs like the original rom ?
thanks a lot
myrin
damn dude.. just sift through each rom thread and read about them. you're not going to find the perfect rom for you unless you do that.
Well lets just say that if you are using the original ROM then theres your biggest fault right there!
You can always Hard SPL your phone and download all these great ROMS on here (Duttys, Shaps, ect ect) and if you don't like any of them you can always go back to using the original ROM. So it's basically a win win situation.
Just about any ROM on here works great on your Kaiser/Tilt. And just like with anything technical there will be some faults. But these custom ROMs on here are way better than your stock ROM.
But let me go ahead and tell you now...once you flash you'll never go back!!!!!!!
jb
jbmorales - sounds good - I did the ROM change already with my TYTN but could you pls help me where I find the best description how I must do it - I mean where it is simple and easy described so that I can do it without too much emphasis on it....thank you so much !
BTW - can I - after I reinstalled the ROM restore everything or do I have to install every single programm ?
Which ROM is similiar to the T-Mobile version but way better than it ?
THANKS !!!!!
MYRIN

i have the google ion and im quite happy with its stock rom but all the roms you guys have out here look oh so tempting. So here are my questions
1. Can i back up my google ion rom?
2. Does the ion already have root?
3. If i cant back it up, is there an official stock rom that i can use?

Look if your going to do it you will do it dont worry about messing your deviice up it makes you learn how to fix it , i came from htc elf to magic and know nothing about the magics spl roms etc and i knew i would make a mistake somewere along the line which is fine and good as im forced to learn on how to fix it .
Sure enough i flashed it and it got stuck on 2nd boot but after playing and playing i fixed it and understand a lot more about my device so dont be scared mate learn . !!! you have support here just ask and you will be helped asap . enjoy learning happy flashing !

I also have a Google Ion and I have tried at least 3 different ROM's. I currently use the custom Ion ROM.
1. Yes you can backup your current ROM/images using Nandroid.
2. No it does not have root
3. I don't know for sure.

I almost did the same thing as you
Got my Magic last week,.. couldn't stand the vodafone splash, wanted to change it (but was a bit scared..)
After 2,3 days on a weekend, I rooted my Magic and started to experiment with ROMs. I tested Hero (also found it too laggy even after "tweak"), Rogers G2 and now nk02's ION. I also changed the splash screen so now I am kind of happy with my Magic..
But i must addmit (after seeing those cool Hero shots) I wish there would be a fast, nice and clean Hero rom (i dont need Rosie, i would just like calendar, contacts, dialer, camera,..) I have a feeling it might come soon ,,

try this rom;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=524229
It has the new camera & dialer... not calendar or contacts though. Also has a few other things too.
I've tried most now, and for me this is the best so far, for me anyway.

[Q] cyberjam 3g 2.1-how to make this app2sd compatible

hi,
as the title suggests, i would like to make a custom rom for this device... either modify the current 2.1 rom and make it app2sd compatible or make a 2.2 or higher rom that natively supports it...
i just need some info... firstly, which would be the easier thing to do?
if modifying the stock rom, what would i need to do 2 make it app2sd compatible?
if making a custom rom, how would i go about doing that?
i would imagine its possibly like getting a windows os and adding drivers for a specific machine before instalation... except in this case i think its a custom build.prop right? any help is much aprieciated...
oh and a final thought, if i make a mirror of the stock rom which bits can ibuse from it 2 aid me in the making of a new rom? id ideally like a 2.3.7 cyanogenmod7 rom just coz my current device (hd2) has a cyanogenmod7 rom and it works flawlessly... i do have a few hd2 android builds, can i disect these and modify them from what i have on the cyberjam?
basically i have a lot of apps and would like 2 have hardly any limitation on how many i can have as opposed to having 4-5 n gettin the memory getting full warning...
again, thanks in advance...
better still, add a forum for this device and have a big long list of compatible roms lol...
and finally, (another p.s)
there is a device which is very simmilar called a bsense 383.
now this does have a 2.2 rom available, only difference i can see is the cpu in the bsense is dual core aparently... the other hardware appears to be the same (haven't seen a list of every part inside both but the few parts i have seen are the same minus the aforementioned cpu)
so i look forward to your reply and hope that this is possible and plausable...
thanks, luke
31 views and noone can help me? come on xda community... surely someone can help me out...
Just read up on dsixda kitchen and once you get it installed in the right environment you can run pretty much any Rom through it and add that feature along with many other things. As long as you don't redistribute someone else's work, its ok.

Learning to modify ROM/Kernel from Samsung Galaxy Tab Active SM-T365

Hey, i got a little project right here. It's important to say that i have knowledge in this kind of stuff but i never messed around with it except from installing roms on my phone.
I have to modify my self a ROM and kernel from android stock ROM (lets say Lollipop 5.1.1).
I need to do stuff like disabling the SD/Bluetooth /WI-FI in the kernel and comping a new ROM. Can someone here send me to the right places to learn how can i achieve this?
Thanks in advance.
