[Q] Problem on charging state - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone!
I'l start off with my device info. stock HC 3.2, rooted via CWM provided by roach.
The additional modifications I made were wpa supp file for AD-HOC and lib file to allow netflix.
I can't figure out why this is happening but there's no "Charging" state indicated on my device, On the lockscreen, it only shows the usual information, no charging icon if I plug in the charger.
However my device does charge. The battery icon won't fill-up until i disconnect the charger (only refreshes itself when i unplug the charger). It's very weird... I took a picture of something more weird... i have a "?" mark on my battery icon. However it was gone after i pulug/unplug the charger.

Is there a solution towards this?
Thank you!

Notifications/Charging Questions

Hi all,
Just got my Infinity+dock, and I have a few questions:
(1) With the dock connected, there is a persistent notification of "Docking connected". It's quite obvious to me that the dock is connected: I can see it, I can see that the dock battery is charging, I have a mouse pointer, etc., so I don't really need this notification. However, I can't figure out how to turn it off.
(2) Similar to #1, with my MicroSD card connected, there is a persistent notification of "External storage inserted". Again, I know it's inserted, I put it in there. Is there any way to turn this notification off as well?
(3) I am having an issue charging the tablet and/or the dock via the included USB cord. If I plug the cord into a different wall unit or into my computer, the USB won't charge. (However, I know that it works because I've successfully connected the tablet to the computer.) The only time I can successfully charge anything is if I use the included wall unit. I would appreciate some help, as I can't see why a different wall unit or my computer won't charge the tablet/dock.
Thanks in advance!

(1) and (2)
- go into settings menu and click on ASUS customized menu
- Scroll down and to Use ASUS Quick Setting and uncheck the box
- Now click in the bottom right of the screen to bring up the quick menu
- With the quick menu up, click anywhere in the top portion of the menu (where you see the time/day/date/wifi/battery) and this will expand the menu vertically
- Toggle notifications to OFF
* keep inn mind this will also turn off notifications for emails/sms....
(3)
I only use the included wall charger so i cant comment on other wall unit charger. As far as charging via USB, no issues here using the included USB cable. Any chance you can trying another USB cable or trying a different USB port on the computer?

hhhhmmm...just notice the following
The tablet does not charge via USB to computer, it only connects to allow transfer of files between tablet and computer. The tablet only charges if:
1. USB cable is plugged into wall charger unit and connect tablet or tablet with keyboard dock
2. If tablet is docked the keyboard and plugged into computer via USB.....however, only the tablet charges.

Your comment about (1)(2) is not true. This will not get rid of the persistent notification at all. The only way I am aware to get rid of them is with some custom roms. I can not comment on the third part though. I do not have knowledge in that area.

Actually, it *does* get rid of the notifications for the dock and SD card. Problem is (as the OP states) that it stops *ALL* notifications, which makes it a not-so-desirable "solution" to the problem...
Trust me - I just tried it and the keyboard and SD icons disappear completely...

The notifications:
I would have never in a million years found that setting. However, turning off the notifications didn't turn off the "docking connected" and "external storage inserted" notifications. I tried restarting but still no dice.
Charging:
I only have the USB cable that comes included with the tablet. I tried different USB ports, but I can try other computers. However, I had a thought: the best computer I have only has USB 2.0; maybe USB 3.0 is required to charge the tablet?
It still doesn't explain why it won't charge if I plug the cord into a different wall unit: for instance, an Apple wall unit or a 4-USB wall unit that I have.

I wonder why it worked for you but not for me. Regardless, it's not that big of a bother that I'd want to do something so drastic as getting rid of ALL notifications...

Tablet requires 15V(correct me if I'm wrong) which is supplied by Asus accessory wall plug.
Computer's USB ports does not supply enough voltages to charge the tablet, however I haven't tried USB 3.0 port to charge the tablet it might work but I highly doubt it will.
Cheers

Charging USB device (phone) from the TF101 Dock

I noticed that when I connect my smartphone to my TF101 dock with a USB cable (the dock is connected to the tablet), the phone will charge but only when the tablet is awake. If the tablet goes to sleep (either automatically or manually), the connection to the phone will drop and the phone will cease charging.
I feel like prior to the x.x.x.27 update, this wasn't the case (and the phone would continually charge as long as the tablet has booted up, regardless of whether it's sleeping or awake).
Developer USB settings in the menu don't impact this. Does anyone know of a way to maintain connection (or at least maintain charging) even when the tablet is in sleep mode?
Thanks in advance.

[Completed] Charging Problems!

The problem started a few days after flashingMegbyte Kernel r_4 on top of RR 5.5.8 on my 1.5 year old Moto X.
Here's what i did and what happened after that-:
-Kernel Auditor->Battery-> Enabled "Fast Charging over USB"->Apply on boot (Wasn't available in stock Kernel)
- Worked fine for a day or so
-Phone starts to misbehave. I plugged the usb cable, but it used to take a few seconds for actually start charging
-The ROM becomes unstable
-I switched off my phone and plugged the charger. The motorola "Bootloader Unlocked" warning shows up. It shows that big battery indicator, but then switches off automatically. The process repeats and this keeps happening until i don't unplug the charger or force boot.
-Meanwhile, when my phone is turned on, and i plug in the charger, sometimes it shows the charging indication in statues bar, but when i got Settings-> Battery, it shows that it isn't charging.(Can't post any link to screenshot yet ._.)
-Sometimes, when i plugged in the charger, the phone didn't show any indication or charged
(MY CABLE AND CHARGER IS COMPLETELY FINE. USED ON OTHER PHONES)
-I thought it was the ROM's fault, so i flashed CM 12.1
-I am on CM now and still facing the problem
-I've tried callibrating the battery, no luck!
-My computer detects that theres a device when my phone is connected via USB, but cant detect what device it is. I've downloaded Motorola USB drivers. The computer did detect which device i was using but only for a minute or so.
I am in need of help and your help would be appreciated! :]

Battery or USB Charging port issue?

I have trouble charging my S7 edge, It simply refuses to charge shows me that I have plugged in my USB charger by giving me a white lightning symbol but then disappears after 3 seconds or so and does not charge..
Here is a what happens after experimenting.
extremely Slow charge and fast drain - My phone stays on in "Download Mode" whilst plugged in - 4/5 hours later I had 26% after 30 mins mild use took it down to 13%
No USB Connection detected? - Whilst I had some battery life I have no USB connection in either ODIN / FIle transfer at all with my computer
No Wireless Dock Charge - I Attempted to charge my device by wireless , it also refuses this.
I'm confused , surely just a battery issue would still allow file transfer? If it was just a USB issue - why does it charge in download mode? why no wireless charge?
Weird?
Thanks
