is this possible? and if so how? my girlfriend has a stock evo shift and wants a pink theme without having to root, any help will be greatly appreciated
You can download an alternative launcher like adw or launcher pro. I believe there's themes for those in the market.

should of been a lil more specific lol, any way to get a non rooted sense theme
You'll need root in order to fully theme Sense but if her phone is running Gingerbread you can use skins. Check the general theme section and do some googling there's a lot of nice Sense skins.

i forgot about the skins, thanks a lot

Here's a link to a bunch of skins . I've tried them on the Shift, work great.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048894
Does anyone know what battery widget those skins are using? The percentage on the top left of the screen
Check the Market, can't remember exact names. But I know there's a few.

i am looking for the sprint stock apps and the htc stock ones as well... i updated my rom and would like to get some stuff back such as the clock widget on a stock rom, etc etc....
thanks in advance
The clock widget was a Sense widget. If your new ROM isn't a sense rom, you can't use the stock clock widget. There are quite a few replacement widgets in the market though.
Search around on the development forums. Devs like to strip out those apps but provide flashable zips for those who want them. Limit your search to the Sense roms.

need more info.. for starters, what rom are u using?
If you are using a non-Sense based ROM (i.e. CM) none of the widgets will work as they all need the Sense framework to run.
The Sprint apps will run however, and as was stated, take a look in the Development forums, they are all there.
thank u all for ure replys! yea im using cyanogenmod 7 and ill look around in those forums.... also, i understand that they need the framework for it to work, but those zip files stated on top... would they not contain those files? im new to android, i come from windows mobile... so sorry for the noobish questions
EDIT: where can i find a good stable gingerbread rom with sense, i searched but cant find any.... (used google, not the forums search)

You won't find a Gingerbread ROM with Sense...you can theme it to look like Sense, but it will not be Sense.
As for the Sense framework, no, the zips that have the apps will not have the Sense framework...totally different beast
got it... well, what are some good free widgets that have a clock and weather intergrated? thats mostly what i need...

Fancy Widget free is what I was using before upgrading to Fancy Widget Pro.
The Pro version gives the option to use a very Sense-like flip clock and weather animations similar to what you would see in Sense.

ha, no reason for this reply, just had to give you the 100th thanks!
If you are looking for a more minimal look on your clock and weather widget, I suggest simiclock. Free in. the market, though you can't go wrong with buying beautiful widgets.

I actually have a few (Minimalistic Text, Beautiful Widgets, SimiClock, FancyWidgets and Miui) that I switch between or combo up...I'm a tool I like the weather forecast options of FancyWidgets, the clock look of Miui, battery stats of Minimalistic Text...I'm never satisfied Wish I could learn to make my own app to make it how I want it...I have tried and always just revert back recognizing the fact that I can theme, but not dev.
better! i love the fancywidgets... made my rom look better!

And if you've got the spare change, Beautiful Widgets is another step up from FW. It's weather animations are much better and it has a million different sense themes and more homescreen widgets.
I can't find my city in Miui Weather, or any city near me. I'll have to do a little research on it later when I get home, it really is gorgeous...

Needing the Wildflower skin for my Inspire 4G with the Gingerbread update. It has Sense 2.1.
By the way, I did a search for 2.1 skins and found a bunch of them. But they don't work on the Inspire's Gingerbread Sense 2.1 version. Just in case any of you think I can't help myself.
In that Desire HD thread with the froyo themes there's a link to the thread with the GB themes, yes there's a wildflower one there.

Yeah, I saw that one. It doesn't work on the Inspire. It only works on phones like the Evo 3D and Thunderbolt and such.
Thanks for the reply, by the way.
I think we aren't talking about the same thing. I'm talking about this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048894
I have used the sense skins there on my Inspire. They work perfectly.

Oh, sweet! You're right. Thanks for the link. That list of 2.1 skins looks identical to the other list of 2.1 skins that don't work. The list you presented does indeed work. Much appreciated.
You're quite welcome lots of beautiful skins there. I wish there were more from HTC Hub or perhaps in Android market. Maybe Open Sense will change that.
I would really like to have a motoblur(strange, I know) theme for my triumph. There is a great mod over at android central, but it doesn't theme the entire launcher. Can I try a custom launcher and make it look like Motoblur? Instructions?
Thanks!
(would post a link but it won't let me, dang it!)
Hey, man.
Have you tried HeLauncher? It's free on the Android Market.
It includes different launcher styles, including a MotoBlur clone.
I see I'm not the only one that wanted the Triumph to come with MotoBlur pre-installed.
Thanks a million, I downloaded it and it works great! also, check android central for a framework mod that also helps to blur ify the phone... couple that with "Drooid" everyone thinks its a droid... LOL thanks again!

That there is just a screenshot, probably straight from the Android Marketplace. Although it's a good indicator of how the launcher looks (pretty much just three buttons).
Also of note: HeLauncher 2 costs money yet disappointed me. The Sense UI themes were redone as to look LESS Sense-like, and that's about all I noticed difference. Rats.
Im referring to a Sense ROM but Im guessing its not possible, though Ive seen some ppl use LauncherPro+ and they get look a like sense widgets and the dock bar (Rosie) at the bottom just like the actual sense looks. Can someone confirm this being possible?? Thnx

Hey I played with a friends Infuse and installed launcher pro + and the sense skin and it looks great, but can someone tell me how to get the dock (Rosie) at the bottom to look like the sense one instead of the 5 icons?
-Pü3rTøRr0
its def in the settings, jus play around with it, should take like 30 secs... as far as lag, in my experience, none watsoever. imo lp sense is smoother than sense on that evo, but those are from my experiences. probably cuz our phones are faster than the evo...

Hey I was just wondering if its possible for users to theme cm7? I like the speed of it however I miss the transparency of the notification pull down and the dialer and so dark and ugly. I'm just wondering if it is possible and if so do you see a lot of users contributing themes to cm7? Thanks!
Its very possible. Cm7 has built in theme support, just check out the included theme chooser" app. There are many themes on the market and also cyanogenmod forums. They don't all include transparency of course but one which does that I like is cyanbreadx available free on the market.

I just downloaded it! Like it a lot. I had no idea themes would be on the market lol. I figured because it just came out there would have to be theme specific for the Sensation but I guess since CM7 is relatively the same on every phone they can just have themes that work for cm7 and not the phone specific. Any other good ones??

You just made me so happy. I was disappointed that the standard CM7 theme didn't have the CM light blue color replacing the green for the phone/messaging icons as well as the battery/data/wifi signal in the status bar but thanks to your post I just looked at the theme chooser app and found the "cyanbread" theme that had exactly what I was looking for.

I'm using mau5 at the moment. No transparency but it kind of turns me on. There are a load and tried quite a few a while back but I'm very happy with mau5 and cyanbreadx myself. Check the market for "cyanogenmod" or "cm7" and try a few yourself. Its a mater if personal tastes really.

I personally prefer the circlesmod's, they are all the theme i need
I have a link to a mod thread of mine in my signature, I'll be dablling in themechooser themes here soon... including adw themes, iconpacks etc... I'm JUST getting started creating things for the phone, I'm good with psp, just gotta figure out formatting for our resolution. Enjoy themeing!
