Is there a list of ROMs that are full TMOUS support out of the box?
Yes, they all are. Have you been experiencing problems?
As far as I know, as long as you have super CID you can choose whatever ROM you want. The only problem you might have is a loss of data speeds, since most recommend a particular radio (although I'm on CoreDroid 2.0 with stock TMOUS radio and I've experienced no drop in speeds, even though they recommend getting the latest radio). If you want to ensure no loss in data speeds or are afraid of flashing radios (like me), stick with the ROMs that say TMOUS in the thread title. All the guys who make TMOUS specific ROMs include it either in the thread title or in the first post.
Edit: I shouldn't say the ONLY thing that can happen is a loss of data speeds, because sometimes you lose the ability to do wifi calling or the 4G icon is switched to an H, etc., but most of the devs have addressed these issues and either offer patches or include the fix in the ROM.
So do I have to flash a radio or the radio sticks after a ROM flash? Any recommended ROMs for TMOUS with battery life/performance and Sense? Would like some good aesthetics but don't need any crazy features.
BUMP.......
I wish they would separate the ROMS here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16281566&postcount=2
Just click on every single one. Look at user If hes from USA in the first post.
Your radio will stick after flashing a new ROM. Just make sure you always flash the RIL file matching your radio version.
Edit: you shouldn't have to worry about whether the ROM is tmous based if you flash the appropriate RIL file.

Where do I find RIL/how do I know? Do all devs have diff RILs?
I'm using InsertCoin 2.2.2 with latest radio, you don't need to flash any RIL and it is working good in TMOUS. I didn't see any problems.

Just download the one for tmous. Chefs don't usually state which RIL they have cooked in their roms. Get in the habit of flashing the RIL whenever you switch roms.
Flashed LeeDroid on my wife's phone without updating the radio that Lee really recommended. So it has whatever radio that shipped on it to T-Mobile US and she has had no problem whatsoever.

Yup, go to ROM Manager, download ROM, gtg465x's section and choose RIL Flasher.
Or go to my thread in development and download my multi-part zip file.

the RIL he is looking for is not even in that thread
plus i already posted the RIL he was looking for
The package you linked does not flash from "recovery" on my phone... Can you please tell me how I can flash that RIL, and also do you know what specific RIL it will install?
The RIL for 26.06.06.30 that was on my phone from the ATT update was 2.2.0131HM, and that was also the RIL that stayed on my phone after installing attn1's ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1058042
According to the [RIL] Radio Interface Libraries thread under hd desire android development (page 31, post 306, cocchiararo), the proper 26.06.06.30 RIL is 2.2.0079HM.
0079HM was released on January 14, while 0131HM was released on March 18. Apologies to cocchiararo, but it does not make sense to me that the older RIL would match the newer radio???
Update: This link from cocchiararo gave me "recovery" flashable RIL files to try... I still don't know for sure which is the proper match for 26.06.06.30, but my walk out to the driveway check showed substantially better GPS signal with 0131HM. Way better in fact.

Is there still any word on which RIL is proper? 0131 or 079? Same radio, ATT 26.06.06.30 for HTC Inspire on CM7.0.3 LordMod kernel.
either its my phone or its the radio but i flashed that newest radio and ril and internet is so slow, speed tests give me less then 1MB down im not sure what the issue is
I got the same problem too. DL I get 2.5 MB max and UL I get 1.5 MB....I have no idea what the problem is!
If you go to the download section in rom manger, and go to gtg465x's section he has a ril downloader. You can grab the ril for the newest stock radio there.
Sent from the computer I carry in my pocket.
For those of you having slowdown issues with the new radio and/or RIL, be sure to run multiple tests to multiple locations over several days and differing times of day before making judgment. AT&T network speeds are extremely sporadic. There have been a couple of days in a row that I can't get more than 2 MB/s anywhere, and then all of a sudden on the 3rd or 4th day I get a 6MB/s run (with no changes done to my phone over that time period) and then speeds may slow back down for a while starting the next day. So just give it time before reflashing or whatever. Presumably, the stock radio and RIL have been tested and certified by HTC and AT&T engineers to run properly on their network, so there is usually no reason to immediately suspect the radio/RIL if you're getting slow speeds. Of course there are always exceptions to this, it's just a rule of thumb, and of course the new radio/RIL weren't certified to run on anything but the stock ROM. However, most people are having extremely good results with this radio/RIL on a wide variety of Froyo/Gingerbread, Sense/AOSP ROMs.

I do not see why it would be a problem to run stock...many say it is better to keep stock then flashing other radios anyways(from a effectiveness standpoint).

Well, if you've never flashed a different radio, then you are already using the stock one... Flashing a rom doesn't touch the radio itself.
You may want to check your RIL, which does affect the radio's performance and can be different from rom to rom (this ends up resulting in radio-RIL mismatching because people aren't necessarily using the exact radio that the RIL packaged in the rom corresponds to).
Inspired ace, uses the RIL for the 04.11 radio [<- corrected from original post], by default, so if that's not the radio you are using, then you should go to gtg's rom section and use his RIL flasher to get the right RIL. That's assuming that he has the RIL listed for the particular radio you are using, which most likely he will.
(Edit: corrects wrong radio version I had stated originally.)

Unless gtg has updated the RIL flasher recently, it isn't using the matched RIL for 06.06.30. The RIL that came with radio 06.06.30 was 2.2.0079HM, but the RIL flasher is using RIL 2.2.0131HM. If you want to check your RIL version, open a terminal window and type these commands:
su
getprop "gsm.version.ril-impl"
Personally I haven't found much, if any, difference between RIL 79 and 131 performance wise. Both work quite well, on CM7 anyway.
I can vouch that my RIL is version HTC-RIL 2.2.079HM (Jan 14 2011,14:56:03), and I installed it using gtg's RIL flasher yesterday.

The newest AT&T radio is the first one in the second post (12.39a.60.19_26.06.06.30_M). Download that.
Check the hash (I use hashcalc on windows) because a bad radio can brick your phone.
Copy the file to the root of your SD card and make sure it's named PD98IMG.zip.
Turn off fast boot and reboot to hboot (Hold vol down + power until you boot to hboot).
Press power for fastboot.
Let it find the update.
Choose "yes" to flash it (I think you push vol up to accept).
Let it do it's thing.
Go to gtg's section in ROM download in ROM manager
Select his RIL flasher and choose the RIL for 06.06.30. I didn't wipe anything for this, but I did reboot twice.
I flashed cm7 a while back (the only stable version available at the time. not sure if it's still the same), and could get hspda (H symbol). I went back to the stock rom and have recently tried testing out some different radios but can't seem to get hspda. I realize that the symbol isn't exactly a great indicator, but could it be that i'm not using the same radio as the one included in cm7? i'm using the kd1 radio now, which is working okay, but i'd really prefer a better signal either way.
anyone know either 1) what radio is best to use in canada?, or 2) what radio is used in cm7? i've tried the hspda tweak already too. thanks
CM7 does not come with a radio. The radios come with the stock rom and/or via OTA's. Usually the latest radio is going to be the best. Some people will find an older radio may work better. There is a sticky that lists all the radios. Pick the latest for your device and give it a try.

I for sure didn't flash a radio after flashing cm7 though, so there had to have been something that came with it. i'll try out a few different radios to see which I like. do you need to do the hspda tweak every time you flash a new radio?
yeah the H is just a tweak in the CM7 rom.

I am using T-Mobile sensation 4G. I have rooted the phone. I initially installed Android revolution version 6.5.3. I was very happy but last night I installed the latest Android revolution HD 6.6.3 XE. Kernel version is sense-faux 123-v005+. Build number: 3.32.401.5 CL309896.( Superswiped and flashed the ROM only). It works amazingly well.
I am presently using Radio:11.22.3504.07_M. I have looked at the forum and see that T-Mobile users have a better radio to flash. Can anyone provide me the link and MD5 check number and also can I flash new radio after flashing the new ROM as mentioned above??? Please help.
Also will flashing the T-Mobile radio will it make a difference?
I don't know where you found a post for a better TMOUS radio, but typically what you want to do is flash the rcdata and match your build prop...
This will instruct you on how to do just that:

There's a link on the first page of the ARHD thread that says "T Mobile users, flash THIS"
It gives you the tweaks you need. It's been a while since I did it, but as I recall it's a PM58IMg file so it's super easy to do.

Yes, but that's just a "Dish 2" rcdata image... You still need to edit the build.prop to change ro.ril.hsxpa values from 3 to 2... If not then you'll have unmatched values.
(something the OP in the main thread does not explain)
yes that is why i get confused.

I'm on 6.6.3 using the 3.32 firmware with a dish 2 setting. My baseband is: 11.693504.00u_11.22.3504.07_M
It looks like you're running the same radio. It was the same one included in the 3.30 firmware. Your RIL's with 6.6.3 will match.
There is no ICS TMOUS radio since the OTA has not been released. You can still flash the dish 2 rcdata.img and edit your build.prop as I suggested before and see if it makes any difference for you. If it doesn't then you can always flash the dish 3 rcdata.img and restore an original version of your build.prop.
Radio-wise, you're set until TMOUS releases their OTA...
That means I am good and not worth messing anymore

It's not the dish setting, it's the radio itself. You're using a european based radio because that's all that was available. There is now a Chinese version available, but TMOUS will be dropping their OTA any day now so just wait for that...
Did you flash the corresponding RIL for your radio?
I just flashed my phone with CM10 and it appears that the built in radio isn't there. Is there any extension/file that must be added to the flash? I could use TuneIn for when I have wifi, but most of the time I don't, so the built in radio was useful.
I've read a couple of threads already, but it isn't clear to me what needs to be done. Some say I should add some code, some say it's an extension and some say it's already there. Also if it's of any use, it's a S4 and I'm in Canada with Fido/Rogers.
Thanks

Download the .zip for AOSP ROMs from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1998270
Then flash the zip and choose the baseband radio you want. The radios there are the most common. You should be able to flash these radios regardless of the hboot you are using if you are using a CM10 base rom. Its OK to flash these radios even if you are in Canada (im on Bell in Toronto). The key is to try them out and see which one gives you the best reception (the newest ones are likely better). Dont worry, flashing these radios wont effect the underlying radio on your phone, as SENSE based roms (ie the stock version of ROMS on HTC One S use a different radio, and that radio version you would still find if you go onto your bootloader screen). You can only change that radio by downgrading your hboot.
