[Q] Upgrade rooted 3.1 to 3.2? - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
I'm looking for a simplified way to upgrade my rooted stock 3.1 to version 3.2
Any help will be appreciated

Read any guides?
Download ROM, copy to SD, boot to Clockwork and flash it from zip. Done.

Extract the Asus directory from firmware, http://www.asus.com/Eee/Eee_Pad/Eee_Pad_Transformer_TF101/#download to an external microsd card.
Notification will show an update, proceed from there. Need to re-root after.

[Q] Question about JH7_OTA.zip

So I'm rooted and that OCLF installed. The update failed but says my firmware is JH7, but it's didn't really change all the way. I have run a Clockworkmod backup and downloaded the JH7.OTA.zip to my internal sd card.
I'm a noob when it comes to flashing Rom's so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Do I need to take it back to JH6 using Odin or can I just use ROM manager and install from sd card?
Thanks in advace.

Transformer refuses to update. [SOLVED]

This is annoying as I updated the other one in the shop OTA and then after buying one it says no update available for mine. So I dowload the WW SKU from Asus and follow the SOP instructions. Unzip ro root of SD card (another .zip file) and insert. Result..... nothing no update notified. What am I doing wrong?
Build HRI66.WW_epad-8.2.3.9-20110423
Android 3.0.1

Rumors tell that Asus put the update to a halt after many customers complained about a lot off issues in the ICS release (like random reboots etcetera).
Are you trying to updater straight to ICS? Try updating to 8.6.5.21 first

Click to collapse
Yes I didn't realise there was another update between them. I will try that then.
OK Dloaded 8.6.5.21 and unzipped. Placed WW_epad-user-8.6.5.21.zip on root of SD card then plugged into Transformer. Result. Nothing. What am I doing wrong here?
I have now tried putting the .zip on the external SDMC and rebooting, rebooting with Vol- and then pressing up. And also tried the same with the .zip on the internal SD of the Transformer. None of which resulted in the update being applied (neither the WW_epad-user-9.2.1.11.zip nor the WW_epad-user-8.6.5.21.zip).
Looks like I have bought one that cannot be updated in the manufacturers recommended way.
Try it this way,
make a copy of the ROM file you download and rename it to EP101_SDUPDATE.zip
put it on the root of external micro sd card
Boot into recovery and see if it will take.
Followed the instruction precisely and still no update performed :-(
Progress.
OK here is what I have done.
Placed full download without extracting it
Placed Download as extracted IE: The Folder = Asus/Update/WW_epad-user-8.6.5.21.zip
Placed Download extracted as: The folder Update/WW_epad-user-8.6.5.21.zip
onto SD card
One of these seems to have been recognised where WW_epad-user-8.6.5.21.zip was not.
It is just re-booting then I will try for ICS.
Looks like a total success. Just extracted ICS to SD nd plugged it in, Bob's your Aunties husband. It is updating as I type.
So in conclusion the .21 WW...zip seems to need to be in either the Asus/update folder or the Update folder on the root of the external SD card. Not sure which.
Yippppeeeeeee the update worked!!!!
Thanks for this I am so happy I found this thread as I could not do OTA as that has stopped at the moment and when I tried the firmware update via Micro SD card it just would not work!
Then I read your post and tried the different ways of putting the update on the microSD card
The one that worked for me was to put the update on the microSD card in the following folders Asus/Update/
My firmware was HRI66.WW_epad-8.2.3.9-20110423 (Android 3.0.1)
It is now on firmware IML74K.WW_epad-9.2.1.11-20120221 (Android 4.0.3)
Excellent!!!!! Why don't Asus advise you of this folder structure!!!
So I went from (Android 3.0.1) to (Android 4.0.3)

From custom ROM to offical JB

I have one of the custom ICS roms installed on my TF300T and want to install the offical JB release.
I downloaded the WW version from here: http://www.asus.com/Tablet/Transformer_Pad/ASUS_Transformer_Pad_TF300T/#download
What then? I read somewhere you put it on an SD Card then reboot and it should detect it? Does it have to be an SD card? I put in onto the root of the internal memory but nothing happens if I reboot. Do I need to rename it, update.zip or something?
I doubt I should use the recovery to flash it, or is it as simple as that?

[Q] [A510] Stuck in the Android system recovery

Hello,
I'm currently trying to root my A510 Tablet with 4.1 Jelly Bean. I tried this Tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35907925&postcount=192
I copied the remove_recovery_from_rom.zip in the internal storage. Unlocked the bootloader and installed recovery_nothrills.img.
Now I'm on step 6 trying to install the remove_recovery_from_rom.zip. But if I go to "apply update from external storage" I only see "../". I think the problem is that I runned an full wipe before flashing the zip. And I think there is no way to get the zip from the external sd card?
What can I do now? Hope you understand me and have help.
Greetings from Germany
EDIT: Problem solved, Could boot the stock JB 4.1 and copied the file to the internal sd card. Now I have root access and can look for a nice ROM

[Q] Can't Install from zip in cwm

Hi Ya'll,
I've had successfully managed to unlock, root and install the latest clockworkmod recovery on my XT1032 (It was converted to GPE beforehand) but there is no way I could install any zip from the sd card (Well my phone doesn't have one to begin with) but would it not allow me to install from my internal SD instead?
Please let me know if you know how can I install from zip in my phone!
Regards,
Mashnoon Ibtesum
