Hi there to all the XDA Community.
I´ve upgraded my LG to 7720 Mango, i did the language mod and added my native one, so far so good...
Now, a little thing started to show up...
If i put my native language, the Camera menu doesn´t work...
I found a way to solve this problem, i have the correct "language translated" XML to deploy to windows folder on my device but all the file explorers i came up with had failed, some of them dont even show the folders, others just close immediatly once opened and so on...(my phone is MFG jailbreaked)
so, is there another way to solve this on this proper device?
I only get the menu working if i change to English language, of course, but i got what i need now but no way to do it!

if you had done a little search you would have quickly found this thread. It explains everything in detail.
Hey there, yeah i knew about that thread but even there it seems unsolved...
And another detail, i couldnt post there, i wasnt allowed to do so, as this is my first time being registered on this forum so a lot of restritions are being imposed.
I understand it, anyway ill keep trying on this one.

ah, ok. sorry for scolding you. typing all the registry entries from the camerasettingsmanifest file with the MFG tool would be a pain in the neck. I guess one solution is to roll back, use touch explorer and get this into the registry and then come back to 7720. Or wait until somebody releases a new explorer that works on Mango.

I had to do it several times before to get my language working properly... im so tired of doing it...
Now that Everything was going ok... Bang... no camera menu...

Hey guys,
im sorry to open an other useless thread, but the search-script here in the forum is.. well... I couldnt find it.
Im using a little older release from Indra i think and there were some bugs after the install.
when i disable the word suggestions thingy in the options, its automaticly resetted after a soft-reset.
Thats why i hope some1 of you still has this cab, or point me at the right direction.

Hey thanks man, exacly what i was searching for - but i really used a lot of strings here in the forum seach like "word + suggestion + fix + cab" in diffent styles, with and without some extra words and now the only topic i find is right this one here hehe

hi guyz & gals, sorry I know it should have not been asked here, but I found it more of ROM related query rather than anything else, so here it is.
Few days back I tried a ROM modded by soft4vn.net people, it came with a dialer, a normal stock dialer which I didn't like & wanted to change since then.
I have some cab's of phone canvas & tried them all to no avail. I am still not able to see the canvas properly coming on the screen.
I wonder if the dialer is locked or something else that its not allowing me to change it to Phone canvas. BOB & other Cook's have already given it an option to change the dialer. but this ROM is not allowing me to inspite of the fact that there is nothing specific to their ROM.
Just looking for your help if someone with same experience can help me. That would be great.
Sorry Dave or anyone else who's on duty, if I have posted in wrong section, but believe me I found this one the right one & you can delete it once the problem is sorted out...

What ROM is it? 6.0, 6.1 or 6.5?
I did this too, with the MBarvian opalphonecanvas. Always installed the cab with flight mode enabled and killed the cprog.exe process. You could try this if you haven't already.

LOLz Thanks bro, I was suspecting this as an old build problem, thanks for your reference, I am using inesoft for time being. Hope I can get hold of those .dll's in cab file. Lets see how that becomes possible. Cheers.

Ok, I know I saw this somewhere and now I have spend far too many hours trying to find it again. I had to do a hard reset on my phone and have no idea where that cab file went that forced the reply all soft key to just reply. I am really hoping that someone can help me find this because it is really annoying how many times I have hit reply all on accident since the hard reset. Please help me out! Thanks in Advance!!

Sorry it sounded like such a stupid question. Like I said, I searched for a while looking at it and I tried several different ways to type it into google. I was unsuccessful and was figuring that having a whole community of eyes would help me to find it since I was having a problem. I didn't realize that there would be sarcasm on the side. Not everyone can build a ROM from scratch or know where to find every hack and tweak for these phones. This is my first phone that I can really go crazy with and I have had it for less than 2 months so excuse me for having a newbie question.

I've looked everywhere for the answer, but can't seem to find it.
I am having trouble copying text messages from my SIM-card to my phone memory.
Is there anyone who knows how to solve that issue? I am using an HTC Diamond with WM6.5.

Seriously it too annoying!
In the end all I could do is :
put my sim in a nokia phone
transfer messages to the phone
sent them to diamond via bt!!
Sorry for the lame solution, but there is no other way!

Thanks, but the phone hasn't got bluetooth, and I do not have another phone atm. I will look further into this though, thanks.

Great, but I cannot find the sim manager files, only ROMs containing it (dumping them would take a lot of time). Is there any way you could send it to me?

allright, here's quickmade cab of asussimmgr.
idd, there's option to copy sim msgs into device(and from device to card) there, hmm nice.
i am not sure, if it will work for HTC devices(i've added policy to cab that should allow that), but i think it should.

You can also use apps below to save the sms located on sim card & import to device.
Have done so on wm2003se wm5 wm6 wm6.1 & wm6.5 custom ROMs
i don't exactly know what you guys here are talking about...
but if its simply about copying a sms from the sim to the phone (as the title suggests) then i don't see how come no one's posted the most obvious solution i've used myself before...
just as background info to those who need to know- i'm running a com5 23569 self-cooked rom on my htc gene (p3400)
and i stumbled upon the solution to this problem you mentioned while going through one of the millions of flashes and restores we chefs go through...
all i did to copy the message onto the phone memory was open the msg to view it and then hit the left soft key to open the menu and the last option on the menu list simply reads 'copy to phone'...i tap on that and voila!! its done...
do let me know if it works coz i don't think it would be this simple and yet left untried by anyone else and requiring external apps to be installed for it to be done...

regardless of fact, if it is working, i wish luck to anybody with many messages..not especially automated process, if you ask me.
for cooks(that flash frequently) matter is entirely different, btw.

don't usually have to contend with too many messages myself...this only arises when i put my sim into a temp phone while the flashing process completes...and at worst i have 4-5 messages to contend with...
ppcpimbackup is my first pick too but i don't remember trying it out on sim messages...worth a shot though...

When I press the search key, it brings up my recent calls, not Bing. At first, I didn't care, but now it's just annoying. I don't think that it's a problem in the registry, the phone still thinks it's using it's search function. I think it might be a problem with the search.exe or something.

First of all if you have app named Root Manager then run it and enable All applications Trusted then you need 2 apps:
1.SearchKeySettings
2.QuickMenu
that i think there are exist in your rom.finally run search key from your phone settings and choose Quick Launch by ultrashot from that list.
But my rom is Dynamic7 hope it helped and Sorry for my bad english
