[FIX] [ERA] CWM flashable fix- Rotation lag on EH06 Deodex only - Epic 4G Android Development

Okay well considering this is my first post ever here ill start off by umm...
DISCLAIMER:
By downloading and/or looking at this thread you here by accept to the following:
1.)I shall not be pointed a finger at when your phone crashes from not having read the directions for flashing incorrectly.
2.) It is your choice whether you choose to clear Cache and Dalvik I recommend you do but if you so choose not to don't blame me for any force closures you encounter.
3.) If you drop your phone on your toe as your flashing this, you will get some gigglez out of me.
4.) Any awesomeness caused by me is not by accident, please refer to my wiki page:http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/awesome
And now here to give you the fix. Firstly all credit goes to Chris41g who first brought this fix to us on these gb leaks, go ahead and thank him. Remember this is for EH06 Deodexed ONLY, do not try and flash this on any other build.
I posted this for those who seem to have lag.
Link:http://www.multiupload.com/YRU0NS28ZP
*Recommened instructions:
-Download the zip to the root of your sdcard.
-Shut off phone regularly, when off 3-finger boot into recovery
-When in CWM scroll down and clear Cache Partition, then go to >advanded and clear Dalvik-Cache
-Return to main menu flash zip
-Reboot Phone

Does anyone have issues with stock browser lag since eh06? I do. I have been checking back often for a fix but haven't seen a post about it yet. Can anybody confirm the eg22 fix working for eh06?

Lol its never worked properly for most people thats why they end up with fc's sometimes, plus it wont hurt to wipe manually right?

For some reason this caused my phone to go screwy, I wiped the cache partition and dalvik cache and then flashed the zip. When I rebooted my phone started going haywire after it booted up. The screen went black about every other minute and acted as if it rebooted or something with all data being cut off during the time of blackness and a media scan occurring immediately thereafter. I tried rebooting, re-wiping the caches, and eventually I just wiped everything and started over. After my system was set up calibration seemed to fix the screen rotation lag. I am guessing this was an isolated incident, but I'd recommend just trying the calibration first to anyone with the rotation lag.

Gtg section on rom manager not working

My phone has been completely f'ed all day. So far ive restored 2 times. Ive tried to start all over by downloading infused than installing gb rom (the order in which i did it the first time) but when i go to the gtg section i get a pop up saying contact dev. I than used the roms from my sd card. I flashed infused 1.x.x, it flashed fine but all of atts crap apps were still there. Next i removed voodoo folder and flashed gb rom, that flashed fine, seemed anyway. When my phone rebooted i thought it was all set besides the fact i had no notification pull down and no status tools up top, att apps still present. I did the updated gb non rainbows update when it came out but that wasnt what i just flashed and i have no idea where its at. Im lost and pissed.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA Premium App
Gtg took the links down because people were *****ing about network speeds. So he's trying to fix it. Should be up tomorrow
Nightmare Infuse
This is one reason I don't use ROM Manager - I keep multiple backups of anything that might be important.
Cool, as far as my other issues go with flashing, should i download new roms when the link is up? Not sure why the ones on my sd are so messed up

It would have helped if I still had roms on my sdcard. After using the unbrick tool a few other things wernt working (app download and gtalk) so I made myself do a system restore...lost everything. Now I'm at the mercy of the devs. Can't wait for the links to be up.

have you deleted or froze any apps with titanium?
I would reflash the ROM, wiping only cache, davlik cache, and system (not data).
No I haven't deleted anything, I tried flashing several times wiping everything but I didn't try not wiping the data. I'm actually on another Rom now :/ would it still work if I flashed n left data?

If you wiped everything and it still had issues wiping all minus data isn't going to solve your problem (His post above saying not to wipe data was if you were on Synergy and wanted to reflash the same ROM). Has anyone else on Synergy had this issue? If you are on another ROM and all works I'd just stay there or find another ROM you like just as much.

Wait, when you were on Synergy what radio were you running? You had service right? Cubed ROM devs just put out a version of BAMF Forever 1.0.7 you might like it it's GB and has a BAMF feel with the cubed theme.

Just flashed this and guess what? Carrier IQ is gone.
Or at least CIQ detector can no longer see it.
Probably gone, I don't think AT&T needs that kind of publicity.
Hows the modem?
nice work cdshepherd! So I'm currently rooted, KK1, with CWM (along with UOT Kitchen systemUI.apk and framework-res.apk mods). So with the zip you created, we can just flash via CWM, wipe, and we're good to go with UCLA3? (i.e., no need to flash back to 2.3.5 stock and re-root, correct?)

Speed tests are good. Getting two bars of LTE in my house now instead of one.
My house is on the edge of LTE coverage and would average 10Mbp/s down.
I'm getting 16Mbp/s now. Not sure if the update had anything to do with it, but on the surface it looks that way.
I get 40+Mbp/s at work, so I'll see if there's an improvement when I go in tomorrow.

To everybody that installs a new rom.

After installing a new rom and booting and after install all your programs :
1-Reboot into recovery.
2-Please wipe cache/dalvik.
3-fix permissions.
Enjoy a more stable,faster,accurate rom.

Huh. I never do this and have zero issues.
Before a flash I factory reset, wipe system, boot and dalvik and call it good. I couldn't ask for a smoother system.
Not knocking your method. I'm sure it's great.

I hate to be "that guy" but wiping a partition multiple times is pointless. This isn't a magnetic hard disk. It's flash memory. The erase command takes care of the data.

If things are force closing a lot it's cause of some mismatches. Fixing permissions most if the time solves that problem. It's UID/GID mismatches or something like that.
