Anyone have a fix? I"m totally lost. I've tried looking for the keyboard to see if I can freeze it or force stop it but I can't find it.
I'm totally frustrated. I have the market keyboard checked in the settings to allow them to work. The keyboards were working for a bit, but now they are stuck and I"m stuck with some ridiculous stock keyboard that stinks!

Ive done everything I can think of to get the Dx multi touch keyboard on my Inspire, but ever one I try force closes.
does anyone have a version that they got working on theirs? If so, did you need to do anything special other than installing, set the keyboard in the settings, and changing the input method?
Okay, so shortly after flashing CM7, every five minutes or so a key on my (Gingerbread) keyboard stops working. After trying some things (like pushing a little harder, clicking other things) it works again. But then it happens to another key! I think I read one thread somewhere on the internet with some people saying using a different fixes the problem.. But I don't think it does :/ And I can't find any other threads about this problem. I can't even find that one again! Has anyone else been experiencing issues like this? Is this a problem with the ROM maybe? Things worked fine on all of my other ROMs, and the stock ROM. I'm really worried, and I hope this isn't a permanent issue. Sending my device back to get replaced would be really screwy for my schedules. I'm using an Inspire 4G btw, if that matters to any of you.
Anyone? Any tips? I can't tell if it really is a hardware issue or software

I have this issue with my stock inspire along with several others. Every now and then a key gets stuck and will not respond. I have to re-boot my phone. Right now I am using swype and so for it has not locked up any keys as of yet for about a week. It was happening to me approx once every 7 to 10 days. No fix that I know of. Hope they correct this issue with 2.3
I second the Swype keyboard - can't live without it!
:side note:
I'm using the latest version (I think) and the only issue that I've had is when I reboot the phone, sometimes the keyboard will work but the swiping feature will not (blue border flashes around the keyboard instead of posting the word I spelled). The fix is easy - go to Language and Keyboard, uncheck the box for Swype, run the Swype installer, click Enable swype, select it as the keyboard when the installer pops up the box for Input Type, and you're good to go (if it ever happens).
Help! Last night somehow the 'qwerty' swype keyboard changed and the Q and W keys swapped themselves with A and Z keys. Some symbol locations have also changed around a bit.
I have no idea how this happened, my phone is not rooted and i have no apps that would do something like this..
What should I do? really don't want to have to reset the phone if i can avoid it, but I cant use it in its current configuration!
I havn't heard of anyone else having the problem before, and I have done research into changing keyboards/installing new ones but this doesn't appear to be the answer either.
I have tried restarting the phone, looked into the keyboard settings, changing it to and from the swype keyboard, but so far nothing will get it back to normal
Are you sure the language didnt change or something like that?
Hmmm which OS version?
Sent from my SCH-I800 using XDA App
Firmware version: 2.2

Build Number:FROYO.DTJP5
Try clearing the keyboard data.
BTW: you can always register for swype beta and download the latest version.
Oh snap... don't I feel like an idiot.. language had somehow changed itself to french.. the one place I didn't look.. thanks guys!!!
I downloaded Launcher Pro to test it out today, and I simply cannot do anything. I can make a custom dock and set widgets, and that's about it. I change the number of screens, it restarts and instead of doing what I put it reverts to almost default. Oh, and custom icons are working as well. I'm on an Infuse of course, Froyo 2.2 up to the latest update Samsung released, and I'm on a stock rom (rooted.) If anyone could help it'd be greatly appreciated, because it's very frustrating to pay almost $4 only to have something not work.

I've used it without any issue on rooted stock 2.2 and currently on CM7 without issue. Have you tried uninstalling the program from the application menu and download the .apk again from the Market? You might want to reboot the phone and clear the cache as well before reinstalling.
For some reason it just won't work :/ I emailed the Launcher Pro team in hopes of getting a refund. Wish me luck.
For some reason lately it's been just crashing as soon as my phone turns on so I have to restart a few times to even use my phone... And it hasn't even updated! I don't get it.
Every time I try typing something lately whether its a text, hangouts message, email, url, etc... the default touchwiz samsung keyboard lags pretty bad. Its strange because the rest of the phone runs pretty smooth, its just the key pressing that is terribly sluggish and I cant figure out why. I have all the latest software updates from VZW and the Play Store as well. I tried installing a couple other keyboards too when I got frustrated, like google keyboard and swiftkey but I ended up finding the same thing happening so I got rid of them. Anyone else experiencing this? Any remedies?

When I had this problem when I very first got the phone, the only remedy I found that worked was a firmware reinstall.. Otherwise it's going to keep doing that and I don't know why either!
