a few days ago i've received my replacement phone, since my battery is arround 30 C when the phone is not using. Couple minutes of gaming or even playing with settings makes my battery rly hot like 44 C. no idea is it a phone or my battery

So I had to get a warranty replacement phone because it overheated to like 72 celsius and damaged the LCD screen, but I'm wondering if it damaged my new anker battery too. It's a 1900mAh one, it never lasted as long as most people report, I normally got like 20 hours out of it if I has 2 hours of wake time, maybe 3 hours of wake time would get me 16 hours of on battery time. In any case, lately, it's been dying in about 8 hours, maybe 12 if I use it lightly, and it seems like a 1900mAh battery should do better than that. Should I contact Anker for a warranty replacement of the battery too? The phone loses power without automatically shutting off (equivalent to just taking the battery out of the phone, instead of the phone automatically shutting down properly) at abour 3360 mV, which seems high. I didn't think it was supposed to die until 3.2 volts. Especially since I hear people with these anker batteries get 20 hours with like 6 hours of wake time, super heavy users, and I can't get more than two. Any thoughts?

It could be that you have fried your battery but the problem could also be as some people say 'just having a bad battery'
Sent from my HTC Sensation using XDA
My battery seems to be on the outs. It's mostly been in the last couple of months that it really fell off a cliff. I've tried factory resets to different versions of Android, I've tried letting it drain to empty before recharging, I've tried a custom kernel. No dice, it won't last me more than 8 hours even with under 30 minutes of screen on time (google now turned off). Even that might be manageable, but the real magic happens with any kind of non intermittent screen on time. See screenshots for an example from yesterday. The battery basically just falls off a cliff if i have the screen on for 15-20 minutes at a time. What do you guys think? Is this just a case of a failed battery? Was using the charger that came with my Nexus 10 a fatal mistake?

Agree/disagree/thoughts? If this is a hardware issue would it maybe worth installing one of the dubious replacement batteries available online?
I've got this same problem with my old Xperia, when the battery reached 90%, bam! in 0,1 milliseconds went to 0%. I tried all kind of resets/roms/kernels etc. with no success, so I bought a new battery and voilà, never again.
I have the same problem. If I'm playing a game, the battery life on mine drops from 99% to 0% in 20 minutes.
It drops so quickly that phone just shuts off without giving me any warning that the battery life is low. It still thinks it's at 80% when it does shut down unexpectedly.
If you have warranty from play store google (maybe lg even if it s not from play store)change the entire phone if you have battery problems, since it s not removable. So we have 2 years warranty even for battery instead of 6 month for removable ones .They changed my phone due to battery problems after some test with the call center employe from google.Mine it s 1 year and half old,and for sure 2 months before warranty expiration I will ask for another one.I don t know if it s the same in your country, but I m in Italy and phone was bought in google play
Hey everyone , recently when the batery reached 30 - 20 precents the phone shuts down .
meaning the battery just dropping to zero precent.
i dont certain if its a Rom issue it started hapening when i was on BrokenPOP and it also happening on Liberty sense .
what do u thinks guys ? need to replace the battery to a new one?
i think is a battery problem
I'm on Broken and had phone reaching 10 or 8% battery often. So I can't say it's a ROM fault especially as you have this on Liberty as well. Battery status got wiped after a full charge so it could be that you won't face this issue after several charging cycles

Waht's the age of your battery. Mine was 2 years old, and dropped to 0 from around 20 % in less than 2 minutes.
I changed the battery and it's behaving normally now. I'd say you should change yours, it can be found around 10 €.
well , U R right , my battery is 2 years and couple of months.. so replacing it is logical.
Also , Rapier Ur right too , after two full charging cycles the battery isnt dropping from 30-20 percents to zero it dropping normally now .. i'll see further behavior of the battery and decide to buy or not, thanks .
Hello everyone,
I've bought an used Z3 dual couple days ago,and after having it for some days now I noticed that the battery jumps around, for example from 88% to 50% then 32% then goes back to 88%..
That usually happens when I'm running heavy apps, like camera which caused a phone overheating as far as I noticed.
Anyways,Yestrday I fully charged the phone and when I plug it from the charger it does down to 50%,it stayed at that level for almost 24hours.Few hours ago the phone suddenly the phone turn off (while the battery was still 50%).But After putting the phone in the charger, the phone keep showing "charging icon" and turning off.It was like this for 30min and it is not charging at all..
Have anyone been in the same situation before ? What could be the problem ? and how would I solve it ?
Waiting your kind replies..
That sounds like the phone battery is literally dying.
Don't think that it is a software problem you could solve on your own.
You could try this though, doesn't hurt if you do the Method 1:

Hello All,
Some time ago (month and a half) I've upgraded my Flex 2 (H955) to Android 6.
The firmware is fine lot's of changes, personalization, performance boost etc. etc.
However I've noticed lately that my battery is charging really slow...
From 10% up to 30% is OK about 20 - 30min maybe less but after that it takes about 1h and half sometimes 2h to charge up to 100%
Anyone occurred such issue? Similar one?
