Hi Guys,
I have an Nexus s on stock running 4.1.2 kernal 3.0.31
I'm only new to smartphones and I think i made a boo-boo. While connect over usb, i turned off mass storage mode and pulled out the cable. I only then realised that I should have safely ejected on Windows 7 before turning off mass storage mode.
Now my computer will not even recognize the device. It pops of "usb device not recognised"
I tried installing the samung usb drivers - no results
I tried unistalling some usb ports in device manager in windows and rebooting - no results
help!!!!!
Thanks in advance
I just installed the pdaNet application for windows and that didn't recognize the nexus either!!!
Should I factory reset the phone?
i really wanna install Cyanogen Mod as the phone is running quite slow!!
Help i cant install the USB driver for my nexus s .. im using win XP and been trying several times now.. but it just dont recognize the android_usb driver.. it says the driver doesnt contain the information of my hardware.. what should i do? windows can see the android 1.0 hardware while in the phone is in bootloader mode. i have installed the drivers for the nexus s when the phone is booted up. but when its in bootloader mode again it cannot find the phone again and it just shows its name is android 1.0 in other devices..
Hey all!
I recently bought a new windows 8.1 laptop and tried to transfer some files to my OPO. When I plugged my device, it showed installing device software and after installing the window closed and nothing happened. In device manager it shows A0001 with an exclamation mark.
I have already tried installing samsung drivers, it showed up in adb devices but not in explorer so I uninstalled the drivers and got back to A0001. It is still charging though. It also is not shown in recovery..
I searched everywhere but no luck. It works fine in my desktop pc, I saw the drivers and it was listed under portable devices with mtp drivers installed but portable device section was not even showing up in my laptop :/
I somehow had managed to work it out in the pc but it was a long a time ago, it is too running Windows 8.1. And yes, the mtp connection is checked. If it helps, I have BlissPop ROM v2.1 installed.
Help!

Just checking, have you enabled camera transfer mode/MTP/Mass storage mode within the S3 firmware ?
Couldnt find this option or do you mean this usb option in the master section?
