Just checking, have you enabled camera transfer mode/MTP/Mass storage mode within the S3 firmware ?

If changing the cable/port did not work try the following:
1. Bring up dial pad
2. Dial *#7284#
3. Select Qualcomm USB settings
4. Make sure MTP is selected, if it isnt, select it and click ok button
5. Reboot Phone
I have the same problem

Hello people, I have a particulartly weird problem. I have Samsung S7562, Or S Duos. I had Stock Rom 4.0.4, and decided to flash CosmicRom 3 on it, so of course, I'm rooted and I have Clockwork Mod 5 (Custom version). Also, I have USB Debugging On. One day I decided to go back to stock using Odin, and I got stuck. Here's what I tried:
-Connect the Phone to the PC with 3 cables, using 2 different ports
-Pull out the battery in Download Mode, Boot Windows 7 64 Bit with Phone plugged in
-Turning off USB Debugging
-Installing Kies oddly doesn't work, and also I can't uninstall Samsung Drivers, which is also weird (It crashes).
-I restarted my PC and did all these on my second PC, but no success.
I think that the problem is the driver. When my phone is in Download Mode, it gets recognized as a Samsung Modem, with a modem picture, and it gives me Error Code 10, even though I have proper CDC Drivers installed with which I connect it to Odin. What's the problem here?
Hi,
I am new to the forum so please forgive me if I have the wrong section where to post.
Anyway, for a few days I've been trying to save a friend's Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, which apparently worked fine until some time ago, but for no reason one day the system stopped booting and the tablet got stuck in bootloop. I tried to download different versions of the firmware, from the oldest to the newest, I tried to install TWRP as the device lacks recovery mode, but nothing, any flash attempt with Odin continues to fail.
I no longer know what to try and I begin to believe that this device is officially to be thrown away. If you have any advice do not hesitate to write to me.
Thank you in advance.

I already flashed the stock firmware on my Galaxy Tab 10.1, so yes, they are installed.
While connecting my tab to PC (Windows 11)
It's showing USB device not recognised. I already tried reinstalling the drivers and replacing the USB Cable but to no avail. Can someone help me out?

If it failed after replacing the cable and you are sure the drivers are working then it's possible that the port is broken and there is nothing you can do about it unless you bring it into a repair shop. At most you can share files through internet, Bluetooth or SDcard if this happens.

Hey. Thanks for the reply! I will give my tab for repair shortly. I just have a couple more questions.
1. My Laptop is running Windows 11 and my PC is running 10. I don't have previous versions of Windows. Is Windows 11/10 responsible for this in any way? i.e. will the device be recognised in computers running older versions of Windows? (I have already tried the fixes mentioned in Windows forums for "USB Device not Recognized" but to no avail).
2. Is there any way to access Download Mode, root, install a custom recovery & ROM without using the USB cable ?

Windows is not at fault. I am using windows 10 myself and everything works as expected. If it was at fault then it didn't manage to find a suitable driver in which case you have to do it manually.
Also from what I know you are not able to flash a custom recovery through the SD card in download mode. I believe it has to be done through the cable. But if you already have a custom recovery installed you can install a custom ROM just fine with an SD card

About no. 2., you may try this method to first root, then install TWRP, and then install custom rom. But please read the instructions and NOTE carefully.
