Hello,
I'm running Gingerbread by GTG and dialer is missing "bluetooth" button I beleive I had on Captivate to switch off bluetooth module inside dialer. Is it a mod or am I missing something here?
Greg
Hmm... I'm running it as well and I have the "Headset" option during the call.
Did you install it over something else?

are you connected to bluetooth while connected?
it only shows up while you are connected to bt
I will play with it in a bit
which version of gtg's gb are you running?
also please try and ask questions in the q&a subforum...I won't be checking in general very often and I want to help as many as I can

I really hope that there isn't a thread that answers this. If there is, I couldn't find one.
I flashed CM6.1 a few days ago, and I've found most of the fixes to my problems. I found the marketplace app in the google apps zip, I found the visual voicemail and sprint navigation apks, and I even found how to semi-sync facebook apps as well.
For the life of me, I can't get Flash 10.1 and Bluetooth working. I found the apk for flash and tried to install it. It crashes my phone back to the Cyanogen loading screen, and that's it. Whenever I go to m.flash.com, it says "the requested file cannot be found" or something along this lines. But Bluetooth is the big issue, I need it for my work. When I turn on bluetooth, it usually doesn't find my Jabra Extreme headset at all. Once in a while, it finds it, but it says "unable to pair with device". I have tried connecting it through the Bluetooth File Transfer app as well. Nothing.
Is there some kind of zip I can flash to make either of these things work for me? (especially the bluetooth) Thank you very much!
Come on, guys, one of you must know something about this....
I would go to your.phones forums and cynogens forums on their website to ask. You might get a quicker answer there.

Your Hero shouldn't have Flash 10.1 working anyway....
Oh and maybe flash a new rom to fix the bluetooth
6.1 broke my BT as well. Try 6.0 RC1 and see if that works--that's the last that worked for me. They switched to a new BT stack after 6.0 RC1 which I think is the culprit for some of us.
CM6.1 is running FroYo which may not be compatible all the way yet with your device. Unless 6.1.1 is out for your Hero yet, it might be best to stick with 6.0.
All credit goes the great mike1986. as this was taken from his thread.
Thanks to him Ive successfully been able to fix the bluetooth voice earpiece feature that was not working on the Rom in the signature.
Ive flashed my share of Froyo Roms and it seems that a lot of them have the same problem as well as some Gingerbread maybe.
The idea is to push the call/end button on your bluetooth connected earpiece to do various call related features without having to grab your phone, its all controlled via voice command.
Many people have been looking for a fix for this.. well here it is.
Directions:
Flash via CWM, reboot and you should have the feature fully functional.

Wow, this is fantastic. I was following the info posted in that AR 3.2 thread, so I'm happy to see something posted.
I'll give this a try tonight.

I'm running RCMix 5.3 and the BT voice dialer works alright for me. Do I need this fix? The one thing I'd really like from the current ROM for BT voice dialing is to have a tone to cue me when the applet is ready to listen.

I am running AR 5.1.3. Voice dial works fine from the phone but when I try to initiate it from my bluetooth headset I get a Force Close of processcom.android.voicedialer. I uninstalled voice dialer with TB and then installed the bluetooth voice dialer from this thread via CWM and I still get the force close when initiating from my bluetooth.
Any ideas on how I can fix this other than flashing a new rom?
Okay I just flashed to LeeDroid which claims to have fixed the Bluetooth Voice Dial Problem and I still get a force close when initiating it from my headset.
Anyone have any ideas please????
Wow this is cool to have. Im not having much accuracy though. Ive got a 2 year old Jawbone Prime so my bets are that its the problem. Looks cool but hasnt played nice since day one. Anyhow this does work if you got a decent headset
Did you ever figure this out?

I'm having the same problem and would really like to see this fixed. When I tap the voice dialer app on the phone, it works as it should. However, it always FC when pressing the bluetooth button. I think the settings file associated with connecting the bluetooth button to the app is the problem, but I don't know what file it is or how to make it better.

Download Cyberon Voice from the market. It does cost a couple of bucks but it makes all problem go away on every rom you need BT with. At least for me it did!

missing voice dialer
I tried to flash it, and it didn't do anything. I'm using Virtuous Unity v1.27.0. I even tried to extract the app from the zip (which currently doesn't exist on my phone) and install that way, but it says "application not installed". Nothing happens at all when i hit the button on my bluetooth. With the stock rom, before installing VU, it would pull up the voice dialer. But i can't even install it now. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!
EDIT: Got it to install, but now it force closes when I try to use it, with or without a bluetooth headset.
awesome!!!!!
I'm running AHD 6.1 but it lacks the ability to let bluetooth headset to do voice command. but after i flashed this it worked out fine!!
and btw im using vlingo to do voice dialing, its an awesome app!!

Will this work with Gingerbread ROMs? mike1986's current DHD/Inspire4G ROM does not support voice dialing via bluetooth. Kind of a pain in the rear not having it!

The post before yours says they're running "AHD" 6.1 with this dialer and it works fine. I'm assuming this was supposed to be ARHD 6.1 which is a GB ROM

Yeah, I wasn't clear. I figured it would work since it worked on the one before, but I wasn't sure if the previous post was confirming 6.1.0 or 6.1.1. So, I'm hoping for 6.1.1 support confirmation so I don't brick this puppy.

6.1.0 was the first version of his new base (2.3.5GB based on HTC 3.06.405.1)
6.1.1 is the same base with updates/enhancements from mike1986. I can't imagine this would bork you. If you're too worried, make a backup. This isn't going to brick your phone to a point where you can't get to recovery and flash your backup

Right. That was my assumption and my plan once I got home tonight to do that assuming no-one confirmed it for me. Will flash after while and edit post with results.
I flashed this to arhd 6.1.1. It don't work. App did not appear to be installed. I tried installing the apk and it would just say application not installed.
So it appears to be a no go.

I can not get bluetooth to work at all on any of the ICS roms that I've tried. Is there a problem in the kernels of these, or is it ICS itself that is being problematic? Particularly, I want to get sixaxis and bluetooth file transfers working. Bluetooth audio is irrelevant to me.
Any and all information on the subject would be appreciated.
Currently on Pyroice 1.1.2 with the slight UV kernel and the Adreno patch.
Pyroice is a sense based rom. This issue was talked about a while ago, Sense isn't compatable with 6Axis.

Um... No it isn't. I'm using the other version that isn't sense. I also can't get it working on the CM9 alpha, and if I use CM7 with the OC kernel, it also doesn't work. I can't do file transfers over bluetooth either. Bluetooth just turns itself off after trying for a few seconds to turn itself on.
pyro ice desensed is still based on sense. hence "desensed". turn your bluetooth on in settings. select who you want to pair with. i use es file explorer to transfer by long pressing whatever file you are trying to send. a force close window will pop up DO NOT SELECT OK. on other device you need to accept the file, wait until it completely downloads then you can press ok

I can't get my bluetooth setting to stay in the 'ON' position. It will turn itself off right after I turn it on. Also, if that works for sending files, is there a way to make it work for receiving files? I would much rather push files to my phone from my PC via bluetooth while I'm at work than try to track down a micro-usb cable.
I'm not trying to sound argumentative here, I'm just looking for help.
Do we know what part of sense is screwing up sixaxis?

No, we don't know what part of sense screws up sixaxis, but it's all sense on every handset, not just ours. I'm looking into it but on another project at the moment.
Sixaxis works fine on cm7 for this phone, so maybe you have a hardware issue.
I also have no problems with file send/receive over bluetooth on sense...
Edit - sorry this is about ICS, forgot that when I was responding about cm7, I haven't done anything with ICS yet.

Thanks for the info!
Yeah, BT works on CM7, but I'd prefer to work on something newer. On ICS, bluetooth has been very intermittent as to whether it will turn on or not, and if it does, I can't get it to do anything even remotely useful.
Hey all, this is my first post so if I'm doing something wrong here with posting please help me out.
I have recently flashed AOKP Build 36 onto my Samsung Galaxy S2 i777 (AT&T), and it works pretty great. It doesn't however connect to my car GPS that I hook it up to to play some tunes. I connect via bluetooth.
Heres what happens:
I go into the settings and click bluetooth. It shows me that my car stereo is there and connectable. I click it. It presses for a hot second, and then nothing happens. If I press it a few more times, it states that I have an invalid PIN to connect to it. Now I've been told that when I click on it, it should ask me for the PIN. It doesnt, it just does the above. I am brand new to ICS so perhaps I'm missing some setting somewhere.
So, on to the questions:
Is there a different place to enter the PIN before clicking on it?
Could this be a bug with the rom?
How do I fix it?
Thanks in advanced, you guys rock!
Additional info:
I got the rom from the samsung2root website. I cannot post links yet but hopefully its not to hard to find.
I have heard there are newer builds, but I am not sure they are available for my phone. The official AOKP website doesnt even list my phone as supported.
Just taking a guess here so don't crucify me if don't work have you tried changing the bluetooth settings as you're device might be on invisible check if it's disabled.

Lol, no its a good thought. I clicked on the make device discoverable button before trying to connect a few of the times, it didn't seem to help.
Alright, I figured it out. My car stereo was the issue. I had to re add my phone to the devices list. It thought with the new rom and all that it was a different phone.
Thanks anyway though guys!
I have looked all over the internet and on XDA and haven't found an answer. Considering re-flashing the Rom.
I recently installed Cloudy 1.2 and flashed the D850 modem as well on my AT&T LGG3
Everything is working great, except when I press my bluetooth button on my headset nothing happens on the phone and I get the default sound from the headset saying that it can't do anything.
I can't figure out why this might be the case, all other functions of bluetooth work great. The only thing I have found that might possibly pertain to the issue is the lack of the Google Now launch option when using a bluetooth launch selector. Specifically [Google Search > com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox.VoiceSearchActivity] simply doesn't show up. I have been able to switch this setting and use google search on all of the roms I've used in the past cm12, cloudy 2.2 and the stock 4.4 from LG.
I am at a loss as to what may be the issue and would like to try something other than wiping the phone since that may not even fix the problem.
Edit** Jun 25, 2015
Started have a bunch of issues with the headphone jack being seen as a headset and triggering google search. I switched to Cloudy 2.3 since its different than 2.2. Hoping some of the bluetooth issues they've had in the past have been worked out but the button on my bluetooth headset triggers google search on my phone again. Thankfully.
Thanks for any suggestions/help

So, you have been able to fix it? you flash "cloudy 2.3" and now when you long press your bluetooth button something is triggered on the phone? I own a lg g3 I think is a very good phone but I really miss that function
