How can I tell when the battery is fully charged?

press the power button when your TF is asleep. You will see the unlock circle, and inside there is the charging percentage. If you want to wait till it says charged, just let it go back to sleep, or press the power button again.

it says 100% and stops charging?
dual batery widget in market is very nice specially when you have the dock

first charge - how do i know it's charged?

i haven't yet switched the phone on, and am charging the batter - when i first connected it i saw a little charging battery icon (black and white) but now that's gone.
with no notification led, how do i know when it's charged? i want to play
you will see a white battery with little bars moving
when it's full it will be stopped
that's when the phone is in OFF mode
and obviously if it's powered on, then you can see it in the status bar
interesting, the phone is off, and i see a blank screen now. i saw battery with white bars moving, but not now :/
EDIT: Ohhh! I have to press the power button to see them now! See, the manual doesn't say that, and I didn't want to switch on until a full charge!

[Q] App for Fast Charging

Is there any app which can make my charging little Fast, I don't want to short any pins, and i know by turning off background app and turning off WiFi and Bluetooth makes charging little fast, but i want an app which can do all these works for me??
There is a special feature built into the phone to let it charge quicker. To access this feature, press and hold the power button, then select to power off, and finally press the ok button. In this mode the phone will charge much quicker.

+1. This works for me. Having a faulty battery, from 10% to 100% takes about 7 hours.
If you simply just turn you're whole device off.... it charge lightning fast!

Battery drain and charging possible fix

I've been having battery dreaded issue from day one and is very annoying. Takes forever to fully charge and battery drains very very quickly.
I've tried the following fix and the results thus far are pleasing.
1. Connect charger.
2. Get into boot loader mode. With device turned on press volume up down and power button at the sometime until you get into boot loader mode.
2. Press volume button to navigate to power off option.
3. Select option by pressing power button.
4. Disconnect phone from charger wait 10 seconds
6. Reconnect phone to charger
7. Press power button for 30 seconds
8. Wait for phone to turn back on and leave on charge for an hour.
Wait for an hour before use phone.
Let us know if this worked.

Phone not charging or turning on

So, I accidentally let my phone run down to zero battery. Now it won't turn on, even when plugged in. It used to show the empty battery icon, but now shows nothing, not even that icon, or even the LED.
Anyone have any ideas, or places to point me out to.
I'm gonna leave it charging overnight.
So, leaving it charging overnight seemed to do the trick.

So, i did it from this link
-------------------------------------------------
Use the electrical outlet charger (not usb pc or notebook), connect the device and hold the power button until start. (may take up to 2 minutes)
After the LED next to the front camera light up, release the Power button immediately.
The LED lights up for some time (in my case, more than 30 seconds) and may blink, then turns off and the phone will light up the loading screen with the battery indicator at 0% (zero percent), and turns off again.
Pressing the power button again, just once, without keeping it pressed, the phone will not turn on, will remain off (not rule because he can light with the target load, it depends on the charge status of the battery). But do not worry, leave loading for a few minutes without stopping and soon the phone will light up indicating more or less a 5% (five percent) of battery charging.
Now most importantly, do not connect or disconnect the phone from the charger until you complete 100% (one hundred percent) of the battery charge. This undoubtedly is the crucial and most important point of this walkthrough. I repeat: do not remove the charger or plug in your cell before reaching 100% (one hundred percent).

Just put ur phn in recovery mode...by pressing up vol+power button and then dont use wall charger...at this time it wont get charge from there.
use usb ..charge from ur laptop or pc..after 10 -15 min..boot your phn and then u can use wall charger,

Replaced battery, now it doesn't recognize any level

Phone is Moto X 1st gen that had the original battery and was slowly dying so I bought a replacement off Amazon and swapped it out. Now it doesn't recognize any charge level to the device. I've tried a couple of those battery recalibration apps off the App Store but no luck with that (though one of them tested the battery integrity and confirmed it's not a dud). When I swapped out the old battery it was at like 18% or something so upon putting the new one in and rebooting it stuck with that 18%. I read that you could retrain it by letting it drain completely then charging full so that's what I tried next, now it reads zero.
Here's the behavior I see:
Power off device, plugged in to charger. If you push power button it will display a battery icon with a question mark in the middle
Hold down power button in this state and it still doesn't start up but the battery icon switches to the standard lightning bolt 'charging' icon but reads 0%. This number doesn't change.
Hold down power button again and it boots successfully but battery meter reads 0% - charging (actually one of the recalibrate apps I ran set it to 4% so now it says that)
How do I fix this?
