first charge - how do i know it's charged? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i haven't yet switched the phone on, and am charging the batter - when i first connected it i saw a little charging battery icon (black and white) but now that's gone.
with no notification led, how do i know when it's charged? i want to play

you will see a white battery with little bars moving
when it's full it will be stopped
that's when the phone is in OFF mode
and obviously if it's powered on, then you can see it in the status bar

interesting, the phone is off, and i see a blank screen now. i saw battery with white bars moving, but not now :/
EDIT: Ohhh! I have to press the power button to see them now! See, the manual doesn't say that, and I didn't want to switch on until a full charge!

How can I tell when the battery is fully charged?
press the power button when your TF is asleep. You will see the unlock circle, and inside there is the charging percentage. If you want to wait till it says charged, just let it go back to sleep, or press the power button again.
it says 100% and stops charging?
dual batery widget in market is very nice specially when you have the dock

[Q] Battery with Loading Circle

I flashed the latest SlimBean 2.5 and turned my phone off. Now when I try to turn it on, I get an empty batter with a little loading circle on it, then the phone turns right off. If I take the battery out altogether I still can't turn on the phone. If I put the battery back in, the empty battery with the loading circle comes up on the screen for a half second, then the phone goes black and doesn't respond to anything at all (up/down + home + power, power, etc.)...
I really hope I didn't destroy my phone...any ideas?

[Q] GPE 4.4.4 Offline Charging behavior

HI,
I've flashed the last 4.4.4 GPE update, but when I turn off my phone to charge it off, the phone shows the icon, and then the icon start to charge, but after that, ¡the screen does not turn off completely! The screen goes all black! If i press the button the battery icon shows again. but again... ¡The screen does not turn off completely!
I want to know if this behavior is normal
Who else have this behavior
If you don't have this behavior, how it should be

No it isn't. Actually, at least in theory, it is a good thing because the charging current is lower and therefore the stress on battery chemistry is lower also.
In real life you should only turn your attention to these things:
- high temperature - NONO
- deep discharge (for example under 10%) - NO;
- never discharge the battery to 0%.

Replaced battery, now it doesn't recognize any level

Phone is Moto X 1st gen that had the original battery and was slowly dying so I bought a replacement off Amazon and swapped it out. Now it doesn't recognize any charge level to the device. I've tried a couple of those battery recalibration apps off the App Store but no luck with that (though one of them tested the battery integrity and confirmed it's not a dud). When I swapped out the old battery it was at like 18% or something so upon putting the new one in and rebooting it stuck with that 18%. I read that you could retrain it by letting it drain completely then charging full so that's what I tried next, now it reads zero.
Here's the behavior I see:
Power off device, plugged in to charger. If you push power button it will display a battery icon with a question mark in the middle
Hold down power button in this state and it still doesn't start up but the battery icon switches to the standard lightning bolt 'charging' icon but reads 0%. This number doesn't change.
Hold down power button again and it boots successfully but battery meter reads 0% - charging (actually one of the recalibrate apps I ran set it to 4% so now it says that)
How do I fix this?

Solid white led + Black screen

Galaxy S6 SG-G920T
The battery was dying quickly, when charging it overheated the phone. She always used the phone until the battery hits 0% and it turned off. This time when she put it to charge the phone heated and it didn’t appear to be charging and the phone didn’t turned on.
She went to a phone repair center they changed the battery but the phone didn't turn on.
When I got the phone force reboot, combination didn't work until I pressed Vol Down + Home + Power for 10 seconds (I think I entered download mode) the phone led turned solid white with black screen but the phone didn't do anything I did number combinations for forced reboot and didn't work until the battery runes out and it turned off. Try to turn on the phone and it doesn’t.
Any ideas what is happening?
