Firstly thx for the great community and all the rooting information and guides. This is my first post, I am not a developer but just briefly interested in coding side of things. lets just say I'm more Mechanical than technological ;-)
Came to this forum to ask some help, I saw the guide on getting to the Amazon App webstore outside the US, but the workaround is not working now.
I wasn't able to get through to the webstore even after trying all the steps mentioned in the guide at this link>

Has anyone tried to access this store recently from Australia / or outside US ?
I tried with a Fake US name / country neutral gmail address / Correct but fake (Google maps) postal address and US CC card number from fakenamegenerator.com .
I also Uninstalled my previous kindle app and the App store attempts,
I am running out of ideas on what am I doing wrong or if Amazon have now plugged this loop hole ? Are they tracking Ip addresses to check locations ? Can anyone who has tried to access the store recently please confirm their results ?
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong ?
Have tried many other things that I found googling them, Just wanted to get to the App store to get the free app of the day.

You can also try to tunnel your internet connection through VPN (for instance using (overplay net).

Tried this and it works, but how much is it reliable? It is ok for free apps, but when I start purchasing apps with my real non-US credit card, do I risk being blocked?

Do we really need a credit card and address to download free apps from Amazon App Store?

Hey i think its a problem from the last 3-4 days... Even I had installed the Amazon App store throught th "trick", but now it says you have to change the settings.
But some of the forums say that u can generate a fake creditcard details and get it done... but dont know, mine is not working...
Any ideas would be really appreciated...

Anyone unable to sign into the Amazon App Store? I just got my Infuse 4G and installed the latest from Amazon's download URL.
When I sign it, I get:
There was a temporary error signing you in. Please try again in a few moments.
My only option at this point is to press OK.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing the app's data and trying, and confirming my credentials work on their web site. I can browse the store, but I just cannot sign in.

Thanks! Solved the issue that I was having trying to get into the Amazon App store. The funny thing was it kept asking for a Valid e-mail and password, instead of letting me know I had too many devices registered. Also other Amazon sites (such as their Android MP3 player) worked fine.

Looks like in the last 2 days Amazon have started checking IP Addresses.
I am in Australia and can not long purchase from Amazon App store.
If I connect to US VPN the purchase works.
or FL either.
for me not working too..i'm italian
I have had no problems in New Zealand.

That would be great if there was now that this workaround appears to be broken.
India: Worked for a couple of days after announcement, thereafter purchases not allowed. The app itself not listed in market, however can use an apk.

I got it working again by installing Orbot and getting Orbot to use an exit node in the US (to do this, you have to have a rooted phone and allow Orbot to use transparent proxy). Works on my SGS1.
I might be persuaded to type a more complete guide at a later date, but it's now nearly midnight where I am.
Quick Tutorial:
(ONLY WORKS WITH ROOT OPTION)
Install Orbot (https://www.torproject.org/docs/android.html.en)
Follow the Wizard, When it asks Select Certain Apps and Select Amazon Market.
Once the wizard is done, Menu > Settings
Under exit nodes enter "{US}". No "" around it.
Now start TOR and go into Amazon Store and its all working

Can you surf the site using a USA VPN or proxy but purchasing with a non-US credit card?
Besides that, it's kind of ridiculous that it makes me add a credit card to get a FREE app!

Hi, Please tick the "Strict Nodes" setting.
I will write up a better set of instructions tomorrow since this seems to be getting a few hits.

I already had an account with Amazon.com with my own Email id. I am from india.
So, i created myself an US address and creditcard using Fakenamegenerator.com.
I changed my address and creditcard with the details i got from Fakenamegenerator.com.
I also followed bohdans instructions and even checked "Strict Nodes" settings. But it is still giving me "Its not available for your region"... ip
Am able to check also that i am getting my ip as US ip,, still i am getting the error..
Can somebody help me out with this.

Happened to me a few days ago, I just changed my fake US Visa credit card number for another fake US one and it started working again. No VPN or whatever, just a basic connection in France.

My google account has unfortunately been locked to my home country, so that the only store i'm able to load on play.google.com is the danish store.
It doesn't work with a US VPN, but my test account works fine and connects to the us store.
Also i'm able to buy and rent movies and tv shows on youtube.com by going directly to youtube.com/movies, but doing the same thing on play.google.com, just tells me that the category i'm looking for is currently unavailable in my country.
Iv'e tried searching around, but i can't find any information that would help me unlock the account again.
Does anyone know if it is possible to unlock a region locked google account, so that it will access what ever store matches my IP?

I don't know if this could help you, I hired unblock-us and configured their dns to run on my home and office routers by default. After a month or two I got the US region.
You can also try to set up your google play pay method to a US credit or debit card, I also did that. Nowadays I have the full unlocked version of google play.
I'm sorry I don't know a lot since I'm not a dev but that helped me.
I am also very interested in this topic. I know this used to be a simple issue where VPN and clearing app data could get you around the region restrictions. However it seems that this is no longer viable.
I have been looking for a way around without using a local credit card or billing method to no avail...

I know that the developer stopped this project last year, but I am surprised not to be able to get it anywhere.
I also tried to download the apk for version 1.9 from various websites (free or pro version), and Windows Defender always reject the file stating that it's infected by a Trojan, so I start to wonder if this is a false positive or if Google detected the same and prevents the app from being accessible on the store or so ?
It's the first time that I am facing this situation, and I am very surprised and frustrated not to be able to buy this app which looks fantastic.
Let me know if you are facing the same problem or if you have a working APK backup

For those who are in the same situation and who may be looking for AlarmPad FREE, here is the APK of version 1.9.3 (I believe it's the last).
I am still looking for a way to buy the PRO version, and for now the only solution seems to be in the USA :/

Thank you for the information Henry, then I have no clue where this app is available nowadays (it looks like it was widely available in the past).
Note that it appears that my previous apk downloads which were detected by Windows Defender as trojan were false positive since the same file does not trigger the warning anymore.

I have the same behavior with this PRO apk which is the latest version I found.

Old thread but I have the pro version. Don't know how the powers-that-be would feel about me sharing the apk. The developer has stopped providing support for this app and the backup service (which is why I bought it) doesn't work anymore.

Thank you very much for the offer Actually I posted the pro apk here some time ago thinking it would not be a problem since there was no way to buy it anymore and development stopped as well, but the moderators didn't appreciate that...
For info even with the pro apk you cannot access the pro features, it somehow checks on google play if you bought it and locks it to free version.
I gave up on alarmpad for that reason. I wanted to use it because of its tasker integration, but ended up using ClockTask plugin. Not exactly the same thing but also very well integrated with tasker.

I don't know how much help this is, I was worried that I would need to find an alternative when i upgraded my 3½ year old S7 Edge to my Note 10 +.
Thankfully, despite being no longer available, it transferred over through SmartSwitch and is working fine except for the sign in/backup feature.
That said, does anyone else know of any other app that works like AlarmPad? It is a must for me as I'm on shift work and EVERY duty is different.

My biggest issue with this app currently is that the data can't be backed up anymore. If I reset my phone I have to create all the alarms and hashtags again. (My phone does not have root available).
If someone could recode it to backup and restore using an SD card ... That would be great.
