there are a lot of 3000mAh batteries on ebay... that are not expensive.. are they any good? how much more battery life will i get?
anyone has tried one of those 3000mah batteries?
EBay ones tend to be crap. Mugen s 3200mah is good and does the job reliabiy

Mugen is pretty expensive.. any other cheaper but good brand/model?
i am using mugen 3200, i will score it 8.5/10, the bad points are the case very loose and blocked flash light in a certain degree.
Nothing some blutack wont fix. And no I don't know. There's a post further down documenting some people's experiances with ebay if you want to look for it

Well if you willing to sacrifice your phone's look go ahead and try it, but it will get very ugly with that thickness...

Where can i buy one of those? i never seen such a big battery.
Remember you'll always get what you pay for. If you want a second battery buy an orginal one.
thx for all your advices
i finally opted for an oem battery for desire/nexus one
I'm got the 3200mAh from saido. It's a great battery and worth its price!

how much is it? where did u buy it?
The "ebay" batteries tends to have smaller capacity than announced.

(can't post links)
Exacly...anything over original 1400 is bs in my opinion. I've heard about 3000mAh for HTC Evo but that battery is much bigger in size and require custom back case.
i got myself a 3200mAh mugen battery from the states best thing i ever did lasting for 5 days now on one charge
I bought a 3000mAh Extended Battery from the seller.

battery case is included. i think it is ok.

what rom are you on when you have 5 days duration ?
It's great if you want your battery to last days without charge but terrible if you want a nice sleak phone due to the fact that the 3200amh batteries add extra thickness to the phone which really makes it look ugly in my opinion. Mugen power batteries are really good though they are expensive. I'd be weary about buying from eBay because although they may be cheaper, a lot of the times they're not the capacity stated and have bad quality lithium ions that simply don't hold a charge!
Can I buy it in Ukraine? Somebody know?
I have a 3000mAh battery, but the only way I can get a full charge is with an external charger.
Then I can get between 3-4days from 1 charge.
Charging the 3000mAh in my phone, doesn't seem to last any longer than a standard battery.
Hi guys I am thinking of getting a battery wih large capacity.. came across the following one..
http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-Innoce...3UQO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320682316&sr=8-1
or
http://www.amazon.com/T-Mobile-Tmobile-Extended-3000mAh-Replacement/dp/B004U89YRS/ref=pd_sbs_cps_8 << Does this work for Desire Z>>
Is it worth buying ? I read that this not cheap chinese company so the chanes of the battery blowing up and giving good battery backup is possible but is it really worth it? Does it give a good backup??

Not worth it guys!!?? No comments !!
i have a 3500 mha from ebay cheap and it last me way more than a 1800mha
I probably couldntt live without my 3600mah mugen battery. I say go for it

i am a very very heavy user and i get two full days mourning til night.
on my stock battery i would get about 12-14 hours normally, less then an entire day.
i think because of the fact i have a bigger battery i leave more stuff on and use even more...
3500 mAh Seidio and eBay China knockoffs
I got the Seidio 3500 mAh several months ago (Sep) and I am glad I did. I wasn't making it past 5:00 PM without it. I also picked up a few of the eBay knock offs, 3500 mAh, from China. They didn't work nearly as well as the Seidio but for only $10 I can't complain. I mostly stick with the Seidio for every day stuff. If I'm traveling I pack the extra China batteries as backups.
One thing about these 3500 mAh batteries is that the phone won't fit in the cradle/docking station chargers. And the battery by itself won't charge in the extra charging bay because of the orientation of the electrodes to the battery.
On standalone chargers for just the battery by itself, I did find one universal charger that can charge the extended battery standalone, from ebay from China. The universal charger that worked was called the "3G Portable Commerce Multi-purpose Battery Charger USB".
Compared to the ebay ones, how much more do you get?
For the ebay ones, do you still get more than the stock battery?
Because if you get at least 2000mah from the ebay ones and they don't explode, I'm thinking of getting one.

Alright so i was looking for an extended battery for my sensation 4G and it looks like there are plenty of 1800mA battery out there that are very cheap! here is the link to one of them:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HTC-SENSATI...&otn=5&po=LVI&ps=63&clkid=4052291442312785527
and here is another one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2X1850MAH-B...821248?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item5890953b80
So i was just wondering, are these too good to be true? or are they actually safe and sound?
Stick to anker or chichitec if you want cheap.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G
Or the OEM HTC Evo 3D battery.
But this one is wayyy much cheaper than anker or any other batteries. Its 1/10 of the price!
these ones won't break your cellphone but their performance is even worse than the oem battery. Someone on youtube prooved that some of these are only 1000mah underneith the label. Oh and also if you find the anker battery being too expensive ($20 including shipping) perhaps you should rethink owning such a high end smart phone.

Thats a good reason for not buying it.

what i meant was u cant compare anker with this cuz its a lot cheaper. Otherwise there are even better batteries out there which cost like 100 bucks so...
If you want high-end, go for the 1950 mugen power EVO 3D battery

Listen to these guys, if you dont want to take from our experiences than go ahead and buy it and see how bad they are.
I'd buy it except I hate ebay. But I just bought a 1900mah battery from amazon for about $20.
Cheap will end up costing you in the long run, I use anker and i wouldn't look else where.
Anker is powerfull !
Hello Guys,
My question is which battery is the best - Anker 1900 mAh (which actually proved to be around 1700 mAh) or Mugen Power 1950 mAh for Sensation/EVO 3D (not sure of the capacity is real). I have tried to find which battery is the best (even read the entire Anker thread) but I was unable to get a definite answer. I could see that Mugen is twice the money of Anker but it is coming from a well known company and also has temperature sensor. However Anker is a lot cheaper and provides good enough juice for its 15 bucks.
My HTC Sensation costs around $500 so I wouldn't mind giving $40 more for the Mugen battery but if the performance is small compared to the Anker battery I would prefer the latest.
So my question is which one is the best and have anyone tested both of them?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
I am in the same predicament, been investigating the topic for a while now and... I guess they're very much alike - you won't find many (if any) people that bought Anker and swapped it for Mugen or vice versa.
The main thing is lack of disappointed people, can't see valid complaints against any of them, therefore my choice will be Anker - just because I a greedy bastard...
I have both and have used both for some time and I can say that the Mugen definately performes better than the Anker. Roughly I'd say that the Anker gives me 10% extra time over the original and the Mugen 25%, yeah it's really that good.
Downside is of course the price, but if you have some money, do buy the Mugen
Thank you atticus182. So it seems that Mugen is significantly better than Anker. Just in case I submitted a ticket with Mugen asking if I could return the battery if it proves to be with less capacity than 1950 mAh. Will let you know when they reply.
DaHorse: If Mugen prove to be real 1950 mAh then the price is justified but I guess I will just have to check it by myself.
Meanwhile if there are other forum members that have tested both batteries?
you can check out this thread to see people's performance in regards to the Mugen battery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1220518
It seems like its pretty definitive that the Mugen will indeed outperform the Anker. the problem is their store is out of stock until december 9th so you can't even get it for a reasonable price until at least then. Also, don't forget about the review done at batteryboss.org in which the reviewer showed that they might not be as great of a brand name as you thought.
As said, my vote goes to the Mugen.
Darn it, just ordered an Anker... Maybe give it a try and then buy the Mugen half december to compare. Didn't spot the Mugen topic btw.
I vouch for mugen too. Mines (htc evo 3d 1950mah) lasts almost a full day on heavy use. Plus the temp sensors work unlike anker.
I have the Mugen and am very happy with it. I used to get home from work with 40 - 45% battery left on stock. Now with the Mugen I have 60 - 65% left

For me there is no real question...I don't know what is Anker...just saw a lot of spamming everywhere on how cheap and cool it is.
I know that I'm a Mugen fan for their quality, service and social presence. When it comes to performance - I'm using Mugen 3300mAh for a year already on my Nexus S and know at least two people with HTC phones who cannot live without their batteries. I don't mind giving extra 30-40$ for good quality, support, warranty and facebook presence for such a niche brand. Mugen rocks!
I already have the Anker and am pretty happy with it but I'm considering getting the Mugen as well. Can't decide though..

Lol if anything your post sounds more like spam. I know mugen is a good brand obviously, but the anker thread is 120+ pages for a reason. not just spam.
also, why do you care about a brand's "social presence"?
Hello my friends,
sorry for my question here but i wouldn´t like to open a new thread for my question.
Also, who can i buy a original Mugen Accu for my Sensation. My original HTC Accu have enough power for me but i like a little bit more and i think Mugen is the best way or does the anker pass to me better?
Yours sincerely
BS
PS: Sorry i´m not so good in english

There is no app for that. You need hardware to check the power of the battery.

what about Chichitec? $20 on amazon
I think Chichitec and Anker are almost the same in performance. I'd go for Anker because of its lower price.
I just shelled out for a Mugen battery. Why did I go for Mugen over Anker? Well, the reason is a bit lame, but I just don't feel right buying that sort of thing from (and only from) eBay, of all places...
both types are made in same factory in china?
Im using a 1800mah evo 3d battery, its good but i want the best. Any suggestions?
Sent from my myTouch_4G_Slide using XDA
most seem to rank the available batteries as:
good = anker 1900 mAh $15-$17 ($30 for two, $17 for single)
better = mugen 1800 mAh $45
best = mugen 3600 mAh, $99 (includes replacement battery door)
if you are price sensitive the anker may be the best bet, it is a solid improvement over stock, and the mugen 1800 may not be $30 more value. For maximum battery life (twice as long), the mugen 3600 is the best bet if you can afford it and dont mind are somewhat larger phone, and not being able to use some cases.

you're better off with the mugen, trust me
If you can afford it, buy the 3600mAh Mugen. If not, buy the 1800mAh Anker two-pack.
Mugen. Its more expensive for a good reason. You're buying quality. Do you really want 2 batteries and have to be switching batteries midday? I use a mugen slim and it lasts me 12-14 hours with regular use, including Groupme all day since my job requires me to use it constantly.
