Hi guys I am thinking of getting a battery wih large capacity.. came across the following one..
http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-Innoce...3UQO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320682316&sr=8-1
or
http://www.amazon.com/T-Mobile-Tmobile-Extended-3000mAh-Replacement/dp/B004U89YRS/ref=pd_sbs_cps_8 << Does this work for Desire Z>>
Is it worth buying ? I read that this not cheap chinese company so the chanes of the battery blowing up and giving good battery backup is possible but is it really worth it? Does it give a good backup??

i am a very very heavy user and i get two full days mourning til night.
on my stock battery i would get about 12-14 hours normally, less then an entire day.
i think because of the fact i have a bigger battery i leave more stuff on and use even more...

3500 mAh Seidio and eBay China knockoffs
I got the Seidio 3500 mAh several months ago (Sep) and I am glad I did. I wasn't making it past 5:00 PM without it. I also picked up a few of the eBay knock offs, 3500 mAh, from China. They didn't work nearly as well as the Seidio but for only $10 I can't complain. I mostly stick with the Seidio for every day stuff. If I'm traveling I pack the extra China batteries as backups.
One thing about these 3500 mAh batteries is that the phone won't fit in the cradle/docking station chargers. And the battery by itself won't charge in the extra charging bay because of the orientation of the electrodes to the battery.
On standalone chargers for just the battery by itself, I did find one universal charger that can charge the extended battery standalone, from ebay from China. The universal charger that worked was called the "3G Portable Commerce Multi-purpose Battery Charger USB".

Compared to the ebay ones, how much more do you get?
For the ebay ones, do you still get more than the stock battery?
Because if you get at least 2000mah from the ebay ones and they don't explode, I'm thinking of getting one.

Those are supposed to be real OEM batteries I think.
The OP means the dirt cheap Hong Kong batteries on eBay, they often come with a charger, 2 batteries, for like 9-12 shipped.
I ordered a pair of 1500 mah and a pair of 1800 mah batteries for my evo from eBay. The 1800 cost a little more.
I go through battery life like crazy. I pretty much always keep one in my pocket, and depending how much time I spent near a charger, would end up using the backup 3-4 times a week. After I got the 1800's I threw the 1500s in a box, and put my HTC battery away too, that way its in great shape when I sell the Evo.
Never had any trouble. I would guess that the mah ratings are inflated, and the 1800s got more like the stock HTC 1500mah life, and the 1500 ebay batteries weren't quite as good as the HTC battery. But never had any issues. If I can get away with keeping the G2x, a pair of spares off ebay with a charger will be the first thing I buy. I bought the same 1500mah pair and charger for my father in law, and he hasn't had any problems either.
The chargers, BTW, have been garbage. You have to seat the battery a couple of times to get it to charge, and the fold out plug doesn't hold up very well. But they don't seem to have a negative effect on the batteries.
I got a charger and 2 batteries off of ebay for like $12, works great!
+1 on the charger + two batteries from ebay. Work just fine. Used the same type for my G2, too.
I also have a set of 3 knockoff batteries and the extra charger. They hold a fair charge, less than stock, but for $12 I will happily carry a couple. Worth getting also is a solar charger, just in case, for similar $$.

are 3000mAh batteries any good?

there are a lot of 3000mAh batteries on ebay... that are not expensive.. are they any good? how much more battery life will i get?
anyone has tried one of those 3000mah batteries?
EBay ones tend to be crap. Mugen s 3200mah is good and does the job reliabiy
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App
Mugen is pretty expensive.. any other cheaper but good brand/model?
i am using mugen 3200, i will score it 8.5/10, the bad points are the case very loose and blocked flash light in a certain degree.
Nothing some blutack wont fix. And no I don't know. There's a post further down documenting some people's experiances with ebay if you want to look for it

Well if you willing to sacrifice your phone's look go ahead and try it, but it will get very ugly with that thickness...

Remember you'll always get what you pay for. If you want a second battery buy an orginal one.
thx for all your advices
i finally opted for an oem battery for desire/nexus one
I'm got the 3200mAh from saido. It's a great battery and worth its price!

The "ebay" batteries tends to have smaller capacity than announced.

Exacly...anything over original 1400 is bs in my opinion. I've heard about 3000mAh for HTC Evo but that battery is much bigger in size and require custom back case.
i got myself a 3200mAh mugen battery from the states best thing i ever did lasting for 5 days now on one charge
I bought a 3000mAh Extended Battery from the seller.

what rom are you on when you have 5 days duration ?
It's great if you want your battery to last days without charge but terrible if you want a nice sleak phone due to the fact that the 3200amh batteries add extra thickness to the phone which really makes it look ugly in my opinion. Mugen power batteries are really good though they are expensive. I'd be weary about buying from eBay because although they may be cheaper, a lot of the times they're not the capacity stated and have bad quality lithium ions that simply don't hold a charge!
Can I buy it in Ukraine? Somebody know?
I have a 3000mAh battery, but the only way I can get a full charge is with an external charger.
Then I can get between 3-4days from 1 charge.
Charging the 3000mAh in my phone, doesn't seem to last any longer than a standard battery.

[Q] Anybody bought this Japanese battery?

Made in Japan, very high capacity, they`ve sold 275 already:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GOLD-2430MAH-BA-S560-BUSINESS-BATTERY-HTC-SENSATION-/200625315338?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2eb6335e0a
Any feedback?
like nearly all batterys from japan or china or that are made in china/japan are dirt tbh only decent one out the are anker batterys or mugen batterys
If there are higher capacity batteries on the market, why on earth HTC doesn`t fit them in their phones directly so we don`t have to buy them?
this battery
There has been other Threads about this battery if you go and look, it turns out to be 1570 mah the same as the oem and it wieght the the same as oem too, this info is coming from other thread please go and look, this battery has been test all ready and found to be fake!!!! If it was real it would be on back order by now, because you not the only one looking for a bigger longer battery!!! Once again check the other threads!!! Thank you
Just buy the anker battery from Amazon, I am using it and get roughly 36 hours on with with heavy usage.

Total piece of junk!!! Stay away from it, better off buying the Anker one that is circulating around. seems to be very popular and it works for me. That Japanese one keeps freezing my phone. I think that thing will damage your phone if you keep messing with it.
Yeah I don't think you should buy this. I usually buy my batteries from HTC Depot or from T-Mobile. Don't trust anything you get from overseas. I bought a battery once, turned out it was filled with some sort of sand -_-.

[Q] Anybody bought Extended Slim Battery 1980 mAh

Hello Everybody
I am looking to buying the following battery
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-G2X-Opti...ccessories&hash=item2eb6f543db#ht_2178wt_1270
I don't want to sacrifice the sleek look of my mobile phone by buying 1350 mAh or 1450 mAh huge batteries.
Anybody bought these kind of batteries already ?
Do you find noticeable difference in run-time ?
That's the one I saw on ebay.
The thing I notice that the slim batteries that are larger in capacity than the stock batteries are more in price than the larger capacity and fatter batteries with a bigger back cover.
I wonder what is that???
I going to order next payday to try it out.
If you get it before I do. Let me know how it worked out for you.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
I do not think this is going to be any better than stock battery. Better to go with the fat one. You will at least get 2000 to 2200 mAh out of those for $10.
I have had that Andida battery for a couple of months now. Never any problems with it, and I would say I probably get somewhere between 30 minutes-2 hours extra charge over the stock battery, depending on what kind of usage, obviously. It feels noticeably thicker/denser than the stock battery. It fits inside with the normal cover, but you can tell it's a tighter fit. I also charge it sometimes on the spare port of my desk dock, and it's a tighter fit there, as well. And a bit heavier.
I won't make any claims of whether it's actuallyt 1980 or not...but it's a good battery...at least mine has been good to me. Nothing "night and day" that you're gonna convert religions over, but if you're looking for a second battery anyway, it's definitely worth it.
Generally, it's seemed like people with the Andida 1980 mAh battery have gotten an extra hour or two more over the OEM.
Buy it from here instead, only $9.
http://www.obostore.com/1980mah-andida-spare-battery-for-lg-optimus-2x-p-1305.html
Thanks for posting that obostore link...when I clicked the OP's ebay link, I was pretty sure I didn't pay anything near $29, but it's been a while and I"ve bought so many things, I couldn't remember...but it didn't feel right.
$9 from obostore sounds about right...I've bought about 6 cases and other stuff from them, so they are legit. It does take about 2-3 weeks to reach your door from the time you order, since it comes from Hong Kong.

I was initially hesitated to buy this battery for $30 in eBay.

Safety of replacement batteries

I'm looking for a replacement battery for my S4. Since it's replacement it doesn't have to be as good. What scares me though is that those cheap ebay/dealextreme batteries might hurt my phone somehow (those golden batteries etc). Is this possible, or is it safe to use those 'fake' batteries?
Also I would love if you guys could recommend a decent replacement battery for a good price (even better with a wall battery charger).

ZeroLemon will be doing a regular sized battery as well which is what i'm waiting for. And ZeroLemon are known for their reliability (and actually being 3000 mAh). I wouldn't trust the ebay ones.

After some research I came to a conclusion I want that one too. Can you check if it's just the same size as the original battery? As I've seen some Anker batteries which were good but slightly too large.

the one i tested was non nfc, these are nfc enabled but i doubt that would make them that much bigger to bulge, but ill let you know as soon as this UPS man arrives at my office, gotta love amazon prime!
I bought the Anker batteries. Get 2 batteries and a wall charger. The wall charger also has a USB port which can output 1A, which it pretty good to carry around if needed. I've read reviews how when these first came out it was a really tight fit, but it seems that they made adjustments because the ones I received fit in just fine, like the OEM ones.

Title-3X Battery for Samsung Galaxy SIV S4 GT-i9500 with External Charger 3250 mAh
worth it
I almost always buy the cheapo chinese batteries for my phones. Here are my findings:
They will last throughout the day about as long as genuine batteries... for the 1st year
After the 1st year, they will start to degrade.... depending on your use, lack of use, temperature, etc... I have some 2.5 year old chinese epic 4g batteries that still work.. but only last about 4 hours. My original battery will still go a good 12hrs. I only keep them around for emergencies, but I don't really use that phone anymore.
The cheapo chargers that come w/ it is very handy and usually work pretty well.
Depending on how much you use them, they will last you a couple years.
Why i think they are worth it:
For ten bucks, they are a great backup battery. By that I mean, when get home from work and my battery is almost dead.... I can swap out the battery for the rest of the evening and don't have to put my phone on the charger till bed.
I'm a normal smart phone user, a normal batter will last me the day most days. I don't game or do too many intensive things..
I get them because I know that I will get a new phone every 1.5 to 2 years... so why do my batteries need to outlast the phone?
Who shouldn't use them:
People who really drain their batteries. They simply won't go as many recharge cycles as a normal battery (by that I mean full empty to full charge).
Tips:
Mark your crappy batteries with a permanent marker. The chinese clones look so good that you probably can't tell the difference between them and a real on. Mark the fake ones so that you can use your real on days when you know you really need lasting power. This isn't so important the first 9 months... but after that it could be.
Watch for reviews on a good battery seller (if buying from ebay)... there are good cheap-o batteries and their are crappy ones. I like to let other people figure it out
