I'm wondering if this feature in ROM Manager is useful for our phones, since we have like 6 GB of internal memory, and more external space available.
I just bought a 32 GB Class 10 SD Card, and it seems with CM7 that I can already install Apps directly to the SD card, so is this even needed? Any sort of benefit at all to partitioning my SD Card from ROM manager? Any RAM benefits I can do with 32 GB?
Thanks...
I'm running Cyanogenmod 7.1 on my HTC Evo 4G. When I used the stock sprint rom I was always running out of space despite moving all apps that could be moved to the SD. Even then the "unmovable" apps took up all 500mb of internal storage.
Now that I'm using CM7.1 I still seem to have that 500ish MB interal storage limit. Will this limit how many apps I can install before I have to start moving things to the SD? Will I have similar problems? How do you overcome this? I've heard of people increasing the internal partition size, but I don't know much about that option.
Suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
I have a related question
I have a stock Evo and I'm not presently able to install anything because it says I'm out of space. When I get that msg, is it referring to the internal storage or the sd card? I have almost a GB on the internal storage and over a GB on the SD card. Can anybody shed some light on this?
IS it possible to swap the memories that App2SD recognizes?
Hello.
Have this new Xperia V with stock Jelly Bean rom, only rooted, and when I got a 32GB sd card, I noticed that it was not using it like it was on my last phone with ICS.
On ICS you only had 2 storages - phone storage and sd card. You could move apps to sd and back to phone.
On JellyBean there is only phone and internal storage (like an emulated sd card), and you can move the apps only between those two. The sd card can not be used for apps.
So my question is, is it possible to merge the phone and internal storage, so it only appears as phone storage, and the sd card to be available as an option to move apps to, Like it was on ICS?
If not, would the downgrade to ICS make only one internal storage, and the other one to be the sd card?
