Hi all,
I'm kinda new to Android...
I installed Insercoin Rom 1.6 (previous had some problems) and i have a problem with the Stocks Widget and App: they are in chinese, and the widget is not working anymore.
There is a patch that I tried to apply however the widget was still not working, so i found that I had to "Clear Rosie Data". I found in the application manager Rosie Utility and i wiped all the data and reboot.
At this point I lost all the HTC widgets and they where not present anymore on the phone. I restored a Titanium backup to get them back.
Does anyone know how to solve the Stocks problem?
Thanks and sorry for my english.

Hey guys, this is my first thread on XDA so first of all hello
I have a problem with cyanogen mod, i partitioned my card to enable apps2sd and it was fine, then i installed a theme mod of cyanogen and didnt like it so i reflashed the original mod. It has a few problems so i then done a "Wipe settings" from the recovery mode and it had odd icons on my launcher after where it was trying to load apps from the memstick that were not installed ( at least thats my guess) as they always forced close, so i then formatted the EXT3 partition to remove all apps and wiped again to make sure it was all clean. Since then i have reinstalled all my apps but some of them... thinking about it most of my "Paid" apps dont have their icons in the launcher. And they are called the same as their package name for example nesoid is called com.android. I will try attach a screenshot to this post.
I tried to search for this but couldnt find anything, anyone know a workaround for this?
Have you tried using the fix_permissions script, in recovery? Try that if you haven't yet. If that doesn't work, just reinstall your apps that do not have icons. They'll work fine after that.
Sorry for double post but i have apparantly fixed it by either updating to 4.1.4 or before i rebooted to the new update i pressed repair ext filesystem.
Either way its working now
i tried a couple of themes in this forum and i used the backup option in "Chewitt's" installer, but after finishing and restoring the backed up apps i didnt see all the original backups, for example i still have the launcher from the Dark10 theme.
so can anyone give me the original apps that should be backed up
UPDATE: i had a startup problem after the last theme, so i flashed my x10 and i have to root it again ;-)
Hi All,
Anyone else have an issue with Bamf Remix 1.6.3 (had the problem with 1.6 as well, but not with 1.5) where the HTC clock widget disappears on reboot? This happens every time I reboot, I have to manually re-add the clock widget. I did a full wipe (data/cache/dalvik) prior to install, then restored apps (and app data, no system data) using Titanium Backup. Other widgets (including HTC ones) are not affected, and everything else seems to work great. Any suggestions for what to try to fix this? Thanks!
I would try deleting the widget apk and then adding it again from the original rom zip file.

would you mind going into a bit more detail? I'm open to trying different solutions, just not familiar with where exactly to find widget apk.
thanks!
dont know for sure if this is your issue, but it worked for me:
move the widget to phone if its on SDcard.
Hello everyone,
I deleted my photo grid widget by accident and I would like to reinstall it. I have searched everywhere but I cant seem to find it. Can someone help me out? I have a EVO running EVOLVED Final rom. Thanks.
just reflash the rom
I did reflash it twice but I did not clear data just cache and dalvik. Also I can see it on my "applications" but I cant find it on my widgets. If its showing in my application, what folder do you think it would be in while exploring my files. Thanks for the reply by the way.
Unlocked the Bootloader - check
Rooted the phone - check
Installed Cyanogenmod 9.1 ROM - check
Before doing all that I backed up all the APK's and system files. Despite not liking the bloatware that HTC insist upon you having (yes, I'm looking at you Teeter, Dice, Mirror and Stocks to name but a few), I do actually like the a few including the HTC Weather app.
Within the backup, I had a file called com.htc.weather.[version number].apk
Will any of these HTC apk files install and work if I've have changed the ROM from HTC Sense? If not, is there any way to get them to work in Cyanogenmod?
Many thanks in advance
Rich
Basically mate, it will.
But it wont harm to try too.
I am using a ROM called elegancia but I desensed it. Those apps work fine.
