My camcorder and camera app in my iconia has an option to save the movie and picture into the external sdcard. I can't find such an option on my transformer. Any ideas guys?
Bump. What happened to all the transformer gurus?

Take a look here, what I said about honeycomb. The asus uses stock honeycomb camera app, so there is no way. Maybe your acer is surely using a custom camera app.
Maybe we could do it if there is a third party app.
you can also move the movie to the ext media after with file manager

Something very strange is going on.....
I used my new Camileo S30 camera to record a 720P , MP4 video. It works fine in Movies App on my xoom....But "Movie Studio" says "The Video Clip Cannot Be Added to your project".....Im baffeled to as why it cannot be added??
I used a different camera to record 720p , in mp4 format and its works in movie studio...I opened gspot and the codecs are almost identical...
Can anyone Please help me make it work!!?!?!?
hi did you find a solution to this? I have the same issue. cheers
Same problem here on Asus Transformer running Honeycomb 3.2
Hopefully Google/Asus will sort it out for ICS and make it so Movie Studio is a proper iMovie alternative...
Right now, the only thing it seems to be able to edit, is it's OWN footage, and I won't be holding my tablet in my hands whilst Skiing..... That's what the Kodak ZX5 is for....
Can I add a YouTube music video to my
Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101-B1 1GHz nVidia Tegra 2 1GB RAM/ (32GB SSD)
If so, how?
Add? What do you mean add?
Download you mean?
Yes, there are programs on the market - I use TubeMate.

I mean add. How to get a YouTube onto the
Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101-B1 1GHz nVidia Tegra 2 1GB RAM/ (32GB SSD)
I would like to download on my other computer and then copy to SD card and then use that SD card on the EEE. I was told however that the file (.flv) would not be in correct format and would have to be converted to MP4.
I do not want to download YouTube video directly to the EEE.
Yes you can. I use mobo player from three market and it plays all sorts of files.

How would you do that please?
I have an app on main screen that says "Market." Is that what you are talking about?
And you would be able to download videos from YouTube?
(I think it would be better to download YT videos to SD card to save space on the EEE.)
Well you clearly do not know, what you need to do, if you can't indentify the Market.
Moreover, You can download to desktop and copy over the file - FLV is played as well.
BTW, TubeMate also downloads files as MP4.
And why not directly to the Transformer? You can move the file to the MicroSD on the device itself.
You need to do the following:
1. Start "Market" App
(if necessary register with your google account)
2. Search vor tubemate
3. install and start
4. select Youtubevideo to download
5. choose destination for your video.
6. start again Market
7. search for "mobo"
8. install Mobo-Player
9. Open Youtube Video - downloaded in step 6 with mobo player
10. worked?
Anyone know how to add thumbnails for movies you put in the gallery? I used DVD Catalyst to convert some movies (awesome application by the way totally worth it if youre looking for how to put movies on virtually any device). Only problem is unless I use THEIR gallery and add a picture with same name as the movie, it wont display a thumbnail - using their gallery clogs my own gallery with pictures and movies that are black, and they leave a border around the movie that isnt black - annoying. *sigh*
Anyone else have luck?

Hi Spartacus,
Thank you for using DVD Catalyst,
I created the player-app because there wasn't anything else out there that would let you use your own cover images for your video files. Before the 3.1 update on HC, you could create a folder, put a video file in it and then an image file, and it would display it in the Gallery app, but Google broke that with the 3.1 update, so I made the app. I still haven't seen anything else that works in a similar way.
I have been working on an update for it all week, and after I read your post, I did make some changes regarding the images, so the next update will have them not show up in Gallery.

Thanks, looking forward to the update. I know myself and a lot of others still want a way to add thumbnails for movies in the gallery.

Same here, but with that being a gripe since the beginning of Android, I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon. Because the idea behind it is so simple and obvious, I was expecting someone to come up with it, but since that never happened, I figured I'd give it a shot.
Has anyone else experienced this? I can't edit Picasa photos from Gallery or share them using 3rd party apps such as Snapseed. I am currently running EOS4 preview B185 on my Asus Eee Pad Transformer (TF101) with KatKernel_97_JB4.2_Lidpatch and the GApps package gapps_4.2.2_TF101_20130323b.zip. It appears that there may be a newer GApps package dated the 29th for the Nexus devices, will that same package work on the Transformer?
im having the same problem on the Asus based roms.
just go to the picasa web site and add photos from your TF with the upload facility (on the web page itself) rather than trying to do it from the gallery. works fine that way round
Just done a factory reset to clear the bugs but I have found a small problem with video playback using the stock player & a restricted profile.
My daughters video collections on the sd card, I can view and hover with playback but it will not let me click on the file unless I am in a full account. As soon as I create a restricted account it refuses to allow me to playback video. It works fine in MX player but try telling a 4 year old to use something new..
Is there anything I can do to get this working ?
Thanks.
Here's an idea

I'm sorry but I have no idea how to solve this, since I have no experience with restricted profiles. However, I have a solution if you are looking for a kids mode, which may or may not solve your issues.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kiddoware.kidsplace&hl=en
That's a kid mode app that you can be password protected, you can either run it on your own account or perhaps integrate it as the launcher for your daughter's profile, I don't know if it will work that way but it is worth a try.
The reason I think this may work is because the developer also makes a video player that integrates with the app, and the description mentions it reads external storage. Due to the changes with Kitkat, I don't know if it still works perfectly (although from what I understand the changes with Kitkat were regarding write, so maybe reading the video files might still work), but it's worth a shot.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kiddoware.kidsvideoplayer&hl=en
Hope it works!
Thanks, I already have MX player but she loves the preview the stock player has. I am backing up 60gb of vids to format the card as it has a wobbly even renaming folders while in her profile, I think that may be part of the issue so I will try the obvious 1st
oh well, this is a confirmed bug. formatted the sd card, stuck 1 video back on and still can't play it.
