Sixaxis Controller + g2x - T-Mobile LG G2x

youtu.be/bGulIF85SnM
I saw this in youtube and it's pretty cool!

Yea we've discussed this in the Transformer forums. Download the PC and Android Version. You have to connect it to your PC first to read the MAC address. Input the MAC address into the Android App and your done. At that point you just press the HOME button and it syncs up.
I haven't tried it yet as I am out of town (and don't own a PS3 anymore). I comtemplated about running over to a gamestop and picking up a PS3 controller just for giggles for emulators.
I have a Daltek (Nintendo wii Wireless bluetooth) but it is gimmicky and cheap feeling. While it does work right, it requires you to find a toothpick or similar to jab the SYNC button on the back. AND it seems to contantly eat batteries even when it is off. Every time I go to use it (after a few days since prior usage), it is dead.
The transformer will natively use a WIRED 360/PS3/PC gamepad but not wireless without this program.

haven't tried this either but I read on some other forums that few phones are supported.

need to run cm7 or cm7 custome roms to get it to work on g2x

or miui right?

I use it with the CM7 nightly. Works great. Except sometimes it doesn't connect, but turning the bluetooth off and then back on fixes it. I would like to know too if it works with any other custom roms besides the cm7 based ones.

wow.... why is there not a legit system like this yet?.... with more then one controller... I think it would take off like a wild fire... the ability to turn your phone into a multiplayer platform that plugs into your tv... This would blow anything sony, microsoft or netendo is working up out of the water. Come on google get your butt in gear! Why is it that the community has to hack things to come up with great ideas like this.

We can use it with any game now?

Yea I went out and purchased a White PS3 controller. Supposedly it works with 360 wireless controller too.
But the PS3 DualShock works great. On my Transformer (Tegra II) I have it OC'd to 1.4ghz and the PSX emulator FPse works flawlessly. With HDMI Out, it could work with your TV too.
The PS3 controller kinda sucks because the way it is programmed to work with your device. You need a PC to pair the controller to the MAC address of your phone/tablet... so you can't easily go back and forth between them. It would be nice if the DualShock Android App developer made a Android MAC Mapper... but it requires special drivers and stuff to sync up.
Very cool though. The controller works well. Much better then those cheap Chinese knockoff bluetooth controllers and such.

That's likely the flaky Bluetooth on the G2X not the App.

I have problems with the buttons working on faux 1.3.1 oc with Trinity 2.6.32.45 1.56 ghz. Anyone else having problems or is it just the emulator that I am using?

[Q] PS3 Wireless Tether issue (Wierd...already looked at other threads)

Hey, yes, I know there are already several threads about this but I am a bit confused. My Set up: CDMA Hero CM 6.1 stable. Me being a newb for the most part to all of this...I just found out the other day...after have a rooted phone for about 6 months...that my hero can do wireless tether. So I installed the app and bam...works like a charm, immediately after installing and running for the first time, my ps3 DID detect and connect to my phone wirelessly. I even played a round of free-for-all on Black Ops to test it out and it worked great. Now today I had some down time so I figured I'd play some COD...but now my ps3 is NOT detecting or connecting with my phone. WTF!? I should also mention that after installing wireless tether on my wife's rooted EVO(froyo), I was also able to connect through her EVO on the PS3. Haven't tried using the Evo again as it's currently not in front of me. Just curious why it worked then and not now, or why it even worked at all if the PS3 supposedly doesn't pick up ad-hoc?(From what I've gathered, Wireless Tether uses AdHoc) I do have full EasyTether, which I was using before I discovered WT, so I'm not SOL, but I was hoping to finally be able to eliminate the cords and wires and what not. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
*EDIT*
Wife just got back home, grabbed her evo, and what do you know...ps3 connects with no issues...so now I have to figure out what happened or what I did to my phone to "F" it up. I am running DroidWall...the firewall is disabled, wireless tether is checked on whitelist, but this was the case when my phone was connected to the ps3 before, but I'm thinking that perhaps this or some other app is interfering. Anything I should make sure is allowed or denied data access? I'm at a loss.
^Bump^ Please...any ideas

Wiimote Support

Just got the HTC One S from costco last wednesday and I just wanted to report that my wii remote works using the "Wiimote Controller" app in the market. It had trouble finding the wiimotion plus controller but worked just fine with the original wiimote.
I only tested it in Snesoid so far and was able to play ken griffey jr's winning run.
I did root my phone, but I don't know if this made a difference. I just know that I could never get my myTouch slide (with sense, of course) to pair up with the wiimote until I installed CM6/7.
Hope this helps someone out there, because I looked for a bit on google and couldn't find any reports of it working on Sense UI + ICS other than the disclaimer on the app site that says "most HTC devices" don't work. I wonder if any of the other wiimote drivers work. They gotta be based on the same code anyway, right? I guess HTC got their bluetooth pairing issues fixed.

My Touch 4g and the ELM 327 interface for OBDII data - BT compatible ROMs?

I've been cruising on cyanogenmod 7.1 for about 2 years now, and since the auto store no longer reads OBD II codes for customers, I decided to purchase one of the $10 Bluetooth ELM 327 devices off ebay, and use the Tourque app to read the data from my car.
The app works great, but it only works if you have a notification pop up asking to pair with the device, and I've only been able to get BT to work with this device so far with a 4.2.2 ROM --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2204963 (only JB one I've tried). The other ICS ROM's I've tried so far along with CM 7.1 just won't connect. Has anyone else found a good ROM that works, or a way to trigger a bluetooth notification?
Basically, I turn on Bluetooth in all the ROMs, it detects the device, I select the device, and it says "Paired but not Connected" If you long press or hit the gear symbol, the only option is to "unpair". Pairing with other phones works perfectly fine, but with this device the option/notification to connect never comes up.
Anyone know of any ROMS prior to Jellybean that work with similar BT devices? .. Dunno if there is a way to trigger a notification; I do like JB, but once everything I need is working, my #1 goal is then responsiveness.
Any ideas/insights/experiences are much appreciated.
Have you tried any Sense roms?
Well, as it turns out, after I did a complete wipe, and was trying cyanogenmod 7.2 out, I was able to connect..... in fact, I'm able to connect on good ole 7.1 as well, and mytouchUXv3... which I didn't want to uninstall- seemed to have a snappier ui. I have no idea why I was unable to connect yesterday, but on whatever ROM i've tried today, if I start bluetooth, then run the torque app, then go back to the bluetooth app with the torque app running, and select pair/unpair/pair/unpair, it connects pretty soon. *scratches head*
One reason I stick to cm 7.1 is that I've read of many users experiencing diminished battery life with cm 7.2

Yeah I've read the battery life thing too.
What do we lose if we stick to 7.1 instead of 7.2

I've been using CM10.1 for the past year and have had sucess with my Bluetooth OBD II reader.
Here is the ROM I have been using. The camera is a bit slow on this ROM but other than that I love it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2204963
Just to confirm, it ALSO works well with Vipertouch 2.1.4.
Buddy of mine passed me his cheap ELM ODB II Bluetooth unit, (he could not connect to it, since he had some chinese S3 knockoff phone).. Worked perfectly first time.
Paired no problem, and connected using Torque Pro and read quite a few of the sensors on my honda without an issue.
Thanks to all the devs for keeping these older phones alive..

[Q] Cannot get Sixaxis to work as gamepad

I simply cannot get my TF101 to recognize my Sixaxis controller's right analog stick. I've seen this asked before, but as the other thread was nearly a year old, I decided against necroing.
Some potentially relevant info:
Using Sixaxis Controller app with a first-party PS3 Dualshock 3 Sixaxis controller (yes, this tablet has been rooted)
Device Firmware: 9.2.1.27
Android version: 4.0.3
Did anyone ever figure out a way to fix this?
Hmm, I dont think I had an issue with the right analog stick when I had mine set up. I will check it out when I get back home in a week. I dont have my PS3 controller with me and I am 1/3 of the way around the world from my house right now.
I have not had any issues in v27 Katkiss. Also v25 worked fine also for sixaxis app. Its been awhile since I was using ICS but I want to say I had major issues with bluetooth mainly when having wifi enabled. I would upgrade to Katkiss 4.31 since you are already rooted plus you will be blown away by Full HWA in JellyBean and beyond. Good luck!

Hyjoy HB901 (TB901) custom rom?

I just got this tablet last week.
Anyone have any experience with it?
I'd like to put a custom rom on it since it's running Android Go (which I've never encountered before).
I do like the tablet but the ipega controller I'm using with it doesn't. I got the tablet for emulators but their is random input coming from the controller, mostly the dpad down.
I'm just thinking that not using Android Go might fix this.
