Tried and wasn't working right for me. Left it in the update script so if anyone wants to try without mounting /system go ahead. Didn't work on my shift for some reason.

For those missing the 4-way reboot, I think I got it figured out. Should have something in the next day or so. My 9-5 is getting in the way.

/system mounts aren't the same from one type of phone to another, so that is likely the source of the problem.
Look at how /system is mounted in the MIUI ROM's install script (or try that MMS update for much a smaller download)... that should work for you without a problem.

Will do. Thanks for looking out x99.
Update coming tonight with the 4-way reboot fix. And hopefully won't have to mount /system manually.

OP updated with 4-way reboot fixed. Still gotta mount /system manually, but hey...it works.
~I'm here to duckhunt tickertape visions and pick apart the pixels.~
Will this work with sense ROMs like MikShifted-G?
Pretty sure it won't. Different androidpolicy.jar files. At least the contents, anyway. You could try it though. Nandroid first. Always.
Prolly gonna give ya nice boot loop, though.
~I'm here to duckhunt tickertape visions and pick apart the pixels.~
Anyone out there that is running MIUI without this mod that can test for me? Got a zip that I think will work without mounting /system manually. I would test myself but I'm already set up. Thanks in advance.

I think you can grab the cm6 zip, then get the adwlauncher apk from /system/app. Change the apk extention to .zip to unzip it. I think the wallpapers will be in there somewhere (there are a bunch). I think resources/drawable or drawable-dhpi maybe?
Don't post a question like this in development. I'm not going to say search first because this is kinda hard to search for a good answer, but it certainly should be somewhere like Q&A, or maybe in the general (non-EVO) Q&A.
I haven't looked, but I'm sure you could get them from the git repository as well.

I somehow missed the word live. Sorry.
/system/app/LiveWallpapers.apk probably.
The only way I know to use it in another rom would be to mount the /system partition as read/write and push that apk over top of the existing one. But I do not know what that might or might not break, or even work at all.

You have to have a custom recovery, like Clockwork or Amon_RA, to flash the update, which is done through rooting. I am pretty sure you could just adb push though if you know how.

flashable zips for _deodexed_ roms: (do not flash them over odexed ones. if in doubt, consult your chef)
as the source code for htc's _heavily_ modified and extended android framework is not publicly available, implementing features like this isn't that straightforward as it is for aosp-based roms
i took the 2.2_r1.1 aosp sources, coded the reboot entry with the dialog (directly into the power menu to maintain a mininal footprint), created dummy stubs for external htc framework references, looked up and hardcoded htc string/icon resource ids, fiddled with the code until it barely compiled
then i baksmali'd my own build, took only the relevant changes, and injected them into the baksmali'd original

Yeah, bad upload. There may be an issue coming from TWRP also. Has to do with updater.sh
When the zip is good, I'll try it with TWRP and, if it fails spectacularly, move back to CWM. Would be good to note if people need to go back to CWM though, since part of the directions currently involve going to CM7, and the 'standard' current CM7 path involves r11twrp into r11flat.

Correct indeed... updater.sh does fail when flashing in TWRP currently. So, anyone reading this later... back to CWM for now! Should maybe end up in the directions, if it's going to require CWM.
Edit: Actually still getting the same error on CWM as TWRP...

GPS, Battery Life, Wifi SIP Calling.
I am still on Miui-Revenge-MTD. Waiting for a good day to move over to Miui v 4.
Will really appreciate if anyone can share their experience so far with:
1. GPS and Battery life.
2. Whether anyone has tested the Wifi SIP calling under the call settings-> internet call settings for functionality yet?
Also, I noticed someone had mentioned an issue with the Ringer in the development thread but it may have been due to their own oversight but I wanted to confirm whether the Ringer is functioning properly.
My apologies for asking any of these questions which may have a readily available answer elsewhere, where I may have failed to look.
