This is port of the Froyo Espresso ROM for myTouch 3G Slide for 32B devices. It is based on a clean RUU.
Requirements:
32B Device
HBOOT 1.33.0013D (Can be setup using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116154 )
MTD 170 MB
What works:
Core functions like Phone.
What doesn't work:
Camera
Wifi
Bluetooth
LED and backlights
Anything else, post it.

Instructions:
1. Flash MTD 170
2. Wipe everything
3. Reboot into recovery
4. Flash the rom
5. Flash MTD Patch
6. Reboot into rom.
7. Don't do anything and wait 10 minutes before using.
Reserved for future use.

Thanks! I tried to do what I can to make wifi work but I don't know what else todo. Can you help me? Maybe take a look at this and see if I'm missing any files?

I tried but nothing do far, xillius will try to make it work tomorrow.
just found the old xm froyo sense to help out xD
Right wifi fixing may be out of my league on this one but im still trying lol seems espresso use tiwlan_drv.ko and sdio.ko in modules to load the wifi and libhardwarelegacy.so is linked to both them files with no mention of wlan.ko which we use normally. May be as to why the WiFi hardware fails to load :/ but ill do what I can lol
Plus if anyone thinks im wrong please correct me ^^ xD and I mean that lol people correcting me helps me find the end solution sometimes 0o

xD nice!!! well last froyo sense rom I had used another hardwarelegacy.so with wlan.ko mentioned and no sdio.ko etc. mentioned ^^ so swapping it over and then *crossing fingers* that rom boots lol
blah....was a no go on booting :/ im stuck now lol

btw can you try the attached hardwarelegacy.so if possible ive got to go out till later lol the one below is a hexedited version of the one in espresso which takes away all the hostadp crap and tiwlan_drv etc. and links to wlan.ko ^^
also if possible do a logcat when you try to turn wifi on lol if it gets past wifi_load_driver error 1 then that should be fixed any other error shoudl be easy to sort out ^^ but if this hexedit work should have wifi just not wifi tether but theres an app to fix that xD

Could u guide me... i had a though, none of the flan/eclair roms had camera working.
I though taking the camera drivers from This Rom! and placing them in any other flan/eclair rom.

When I try to sign on to Market I get the message "Cant establish a reliable data connection to the server".
Everything else works ok. Of course I am not reffering to camera or HTC Keyboard multi language .

no camera ... use market if you need danish keyboard and dict.

you need to format your sdcard with atleast 32mb swap 64 is
recomented...and ext2 128 mb atleast...then it boots up. .

We're getting it close to booting. This ROM definitley would not have been a reality without the help of Cteneyk, PikkonX, Darchstar, and Toastcfh. hahahahaha. No secrets -- just wanted to know what steps he took to begin the process of making his ROM, I'm currently going to make my mine own as well, I've got some custom icons made, but I'd like to do more than that.

I'm working on it as fast as I can... I'll do my best to get that stuff working. OpenGL and WiFi are as good as done. Also SMS is all done, I'm still working on everything else.

Don't flash a ROM for a GSM device on your Sprint Hero. You need to know:
What kernel
What network services and hardware support tries to load at boot
What radio file it has.
If you've already verified all this nevermind
If you haven't, make sure you have Asurion on your Hero.
I changed the boot animation to say 2.2 instead of 2.1.
Also changed HTC Desire to HTC Evo
That way those with froyo arent like wtf =D
Its attatched.
also attatched versions that say Baked Snack, Freak E FroYo, and Cyanogen Mod 6 under rom.
Anything else that you find/want, let me know!

you're going to have to edit each frame prior as it starts at 0024 and runs till 0037

only problem I have is the animation doesn't go on long enough. there is a good 15 seconds of just blank screen before i get my OS. all other boot animations play up till the OS.
it does seem to go pretty fast.

i think it will like i said i got it to boot all the way to the boot animation but then it just sits there loading i think i may need my updater scrip looked at or it needs a new kernel but i dont think its the kernel but i could be wrong

Interesting thought, but I can't really see the point, the Magic resources is maxed out at 2.2, even sluggish at 2.1.

so far it boots but then sits on the boot animation it is not frozen just sits there so that is the progress so far if you wanna take a look i can email you the link to the rom
i wrote him all in a email. he got the .zip and will have a look of it
btw. yesterday with the lp instead of the launcher2 didn't work. it sat in the bootanimation.

It keep's boot looping , i ported this ROM 100% to my knowledge .I will post my final downlaod link that way you could look at & fix it if you want but i won't be working on this anymore because it's to much of a headache and i don't know wh at more i could do to try to attempt to do this . I even worked with 3 people on this & none of them even knew . I stopped this port , it's 100% from what i know & it's not booting it's just boot looping which is a good start , if your a developer please PM me if you want to continue it i might get someone to help me tommorrow though .

Don't you have a simcard ? 3G is known to be working even if it's a SDK port . Test it out if you want . Link is up now .

Thought everything worked.
No problem , i'm not sure myself if it'll boot but if it boot's at least to the LG screen w/ the touchscreen button's lighting up that mean's it's close . Let me know result's when someone flash's . CM kernel i used .

*UPDATE*
It bootloop's but when you touch the screen the button's illuminate , it's reading the ROM somewhat now i just have to find out what's wrong .
It gets to the custom boot animation, then it keeps on looping. It's one step closer though.
I'm always willing to be a tester for you, if you need one. Just let me know.

For me, it boots until after the custom boot logo. Then the phone only has a black screen and the touchscreen recognizes touch. ADB works.
I'll be working on it no worries .

So I'm curious, in the OP you state what works. But then you say along with others that you can't get past boot.
So how do you know what works if it doesn't even boot?
