I am trying to figure out how to make a flashable zip to change applications that have been downloaded to /data.
In the mean time if there is interest I will post instructions on how to change app icons stored in data.

It should work. Contact your it and get the settings. You can also try k9 mail.

nah, i get the "this requires security your phone doesn't support" i work at a large IT company, and our internal IT are idiots, go figure right? No way they will get this sorted, so i will have to wait for google to implement a better email app with enterprise security requirements

Yes BUT its a folder inside of the framework-res.apk
so you can't flash this. If you want just an animation zip let me know which version of cm6 you are running and i can make one for you just pm me.

Green circular battery indicator

Hi,
I'm currently on wolfbreak's latest rom CM 6.1.3 v006. And i was wondering if i could change the stock battery indicator to a slick green circular one. I realy love green and black theme's, so hope anybody could help me out.

Putting it in the middle isnt possible but there are apps in the market that put one on the left side

No not the percentage in the middle of the notification bar. Sorry for my bad english. I mean to get the percentage in the middle of the circular indicator out.

Anyone wan't to fix me a nice green indicator? I still don't know how to work this out with editing the framework.

Doing a few things with the wifey for mom's day but I can do it later this afternoon if noone else does. Green w no numbers, right?

Hiyas, is it possible to use this for 2.1 (latest version), or extract the bits needed!!??

You could dig out the icons, the theme won't work w/2.1. You'll have to have a 100 step battery in your Rom/theme already. If you need some help just ask in this thread.

thanks for the info, however i have no idea how-to!! i used the pc tool by mrRusch to push framework files on .435, but have never changed them myself!!

There are several themes for .435 with circle battery mods (like mine!).
Do you just want the battery icons I posted here on the stock framework? I can do that for ya. Or if you're using a themed/modded one post it here and I can add the batt mod.

After this, once 2.3 SE is out, I'm going to try and learn this kind of moding. uot kitchen is something I keep seeing so maybe I'll start there (plus I imagine there is a how-to on xda, i will search when i need it!)

GB Theme

I have made an amazing theme. One minor problem is that I can't recompile framework-res.apk, I tried multiple computers. Also I decompiled it to change a text color in values. Any help would be appreciated.

I am currently trying to figure out NinjaMorph, it will do the same thing but on your phone. It will also recompile the framework for you and apply it. Check it out.

I tried ninjamorph and it doesn't decompile or recompile the resources.arsc file, which is what holds the res/values folder which has styles.xml; the one that I'm editing.
Apktool decompiles framework-res just fine, it never recompiles it though. I think it may have something to do with my themed pictures already or the samsung weird pictures in the res/drawable-hdpi folder that start with zzz_...
If anyone can recompile, I may upload the folder I want to have recompiled tomorrow.
IF anyone can, please let me know.

it was worth a shot, ive been working on my status bar for some time now. crossing fingers when im done.

I am uploading the files and maybe a flashable zip shortly for my theme so far. It only works on KD1 and if it is liked, I will make a KC1 and KB5 version of it. Also, as of now, 4g is known as H. It will probably change because I am making some edits.

Hatman has done some great themes including red here. I believe he themes primarily for Prime but you might want to look at trying it out.

It's an excellent looking theme. I have it on my transformer and it looks great. I don't know how to port, I just replaced images on mine with this one. Only thing I couldn't change was the clock color but rest is ok.

^^ I just used 7zip and replaced images and pushed systemui.apk and framework etc with root explorer. I was able to change to red clock also after decompiling.

Don't actually extract the files when you're using 7zip or Winrar. Just open the systemui.apk with it and drag the images in the archive. I'll post the apk as soon as I get the chance.

From the source link, that guy have interesting detail on the screenshot. Loomk like he has some kind of widget with switches in opened (but not extended) notification bar, which looks very nice. Is it some part of theme or it's some kind of app? I'd like to get one of thouse! Don't want to register on xoom forum just to ask that one question, though... Can't google it also, too many similar stuff but not what I'm looking for.

I agree. Would be nice to have a blue.

There is a way because I'm using the zero one themed rom and it has blue messages instead of green.

what if we took the mms.apk from the zero rom and rpelaced it in our current rom anything that would work?

EDIT: couldnt find no MMS.APK, but installed evey other app that was messaging related.. Didnt work (for me anyway) now i have no messaging app, Looks like ill have to reflash the ROM

You need to recolor the decompiled png and then compile in order to ensure the patches are fine. Also make sure, you don`t alter the 000000 of the patches while changing the color.

is there a way to change the background color to black? (would make a lot of sense on an amoled screen)

Yes - there always is. Just haven`t looked into that one yet, since it`s always a lot of work and other dev projects have priority atm.
