I have two questions:
1- Why scrolling in portrait mode is so slow?
2- Why when I pinch to zoom in pdf is slow rendering the text?
Does it depends on Nvidia drivers?
It is a Gpu problem rendering the graphic in a too high resolution screen?
Thanks in advance because I sold my Ipad 2 for the Transformer and I work a lot with large pdf and this situation make me frustrated
I think that's a problem of Honeycomb. My phone works normally when scrolling and stuff. Still getting used to tablets.

well it'll still be better than the HD2 clone.
Is there any way to get androids pinch to zoom as smooth as the iphone? I mean, is there any browser using the trick that the iphone does?
I just noticed that iOS doesn't pinch to zoom normal, it just gives you a thumbnail which will refresh after you're finished with pinched to zoom, while android live renders while pinch to zoom.
So is there a way to get it that smooth? Or is any browser taking the advantage of that trick?
Enable hardware acceleration or use a browser that uses hardware acceleration, then turn off all the features of the browser. You know, text reflow, plugins, tabs, etc... all the great stuff of our browsers.
So where can I enable it? I'm using MIUI btw.
Has anyone noticed lag with GIFs on this tablet? I frequent Homestuck so I use both Flash (semi frequent frame skip) and viewing GIFs (much lag even after loaded). Somehow both of these lag on this beast of a tablet and I was wondering if there is a fix for either issue. I tried setting the CPU governor to performance (locking it at 1.6Ghz) no dice, tried different browsers, no result. GIFs of other sites lag as well, but do NOT on my much less powerful Galaxy Nexus with CM10. Is the GIF issue an ICS issue? I don't seem to have problems with either on my Nexus. I was also wondering, since the Tegra 3 boasted hardware accelerated Flash why am I experiencing lower performance than I get on my Nexus (which NEVER supported Flash). Thanks!
I have tried most available PDF readers in play store, but none is capable of making the pdf to fit to screen in portrait mode. PDF file in portrait mode loses space in top and bottom of the screen in portrait mode and makes less readable, when having small fonts in the doc. also stretching the page everytime for bulky books with 400+ pages makes life tougher. is there any free app that supports this functionality? or is there any work around for this?
for info, the pdfs that i read mostly has images as well in it for illustration.
thanks
Hi All,
I'm generally pleased with the performance of my Surface Pro and since the 8.1 upgrade my graphics card performance particularly in games has been stellar.
I do have one issue which is in win 8 when a game ran in a non native resolution the graphics card would scale the image to be full screen automatically. Since 8.1 I seem to have lost this functionality and most games and my citrix work log in only keep the resolution but draw big black borders around it when going full screen.
Are there some better drivers for the inten 4000 series that work well? I'm reluctant to try various version floating around the net as when I did this on Win 8 I had terrible graphics performance and couldn't get back to the original drivers without a full restore.
What is the best procedure for rolling back drivers to the OS inbuilt ones?
I've had the same issue with my Surface Pro 2, the only "solution" I've found is to set the display resolution in Windows to something lower than native, like 1600x900, then launch the game, and it should scale to full screen properly, no matter what the resolution is set at. Obviously a better solution would be much nicer, but this is the only thing I've found that works.

Thanks I've gone back to the 3316 dirvers from microsoft and these give better fps in some games. But the problem still persists so I'll try your solution! :good:
