Install Opera and use it. When an action requires the use of a browser, a window will pop-up asking which browser you want to open and gives you an option to make one of them the default for that action. You know what to do.

Hello everyone, Quick question...
Is there a way to make the change the default browser on the droid charge? i have dolphin HD installed and it is set up as my default browser for everything else, but when i click a link in my email the it always opens up in the stock browser which is pretty annoying. is there a way around this?
On browsers without this option. Is there an edit I can make to change it.Running humble 5 with cm7 browser.
Got one of these new and really cheap and chuffed.
My question is.
The keyboard has an internet button but it will only bring up the default browser and not Dolphin.
Anyone know how I can change this?
Also same for email as well.
Ta
I think you have to set Dolphin as your standard Web Browser
There should be a dialogue if you open Dolphin for the first time.
Yeah that's not really an option sadly.
The keyboard only seems to bring up the default apps.
I have the Galaxy s3 with Verizon 4.1.1.
I have Google Chrome and dolphin browsers installed. Every time I launch an activity that calls for a browser I get the selection screen asking me to choose which default app to use. I have tried selecting dolphin as the default Always, and I have tried selecting chrome as default always, but no matter what I choose I can click the same link again and it will ask me again which browser to use. I tried uninstalling both browsers and the system let me choose the stock browser always and remembered it as default. When I put the other browsers back on, I have to choose every time again. This also goes for other default app selections. I've had 4.1.1 since Christmas and I still select default apps multiple times a day.
Help please!

If you are stock with root, just use either dolphin or chrome, but not both. Then delete the browser apk from system/app, that way only one browser is on your phone and you won't have the nag.

I use dolphin because it supports flash, and I use chrome because I prefer the UI. Besides, getting rid of only one still forces the nag default app screen between the stock browser and the remaining browser. I would have to get rid of both.
I am not rooted.
Is this behavior normal? I don't want to wipe the phone but I will if I'm the only one having this sort of problem. Does default app selection stick for other people, even when selecting a third party app?
This is more of a touchwiz question. When I click on a web link from some app I get a dialog asking which browser I should open the link with. It then designates that browser as the default and opens subsequent links with it. I want to choose the browser every time I click on a link. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance
This app had been working pretty good for me:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aboutmycode.betteropenwith
It allows you to set a default app, or to show you the list so you can choose yourself. It also features a timer, so you can choose that it always chooses a default app if you choose nothing for a few seconds. It's very nice!
Thanks. It did the trick.
