Does anyone still use SETCPU?
Just curious... Tegrak has been great.

I use both.I use setcpu for profile options.
Set phone to 200mhz when screen is off, battery saved, music won't skip.

So you only use the profile options? What about on screen 1. 1000 200

Just set to max/min(1444/100), on demand.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk
But set max min only 1000/100 not 1440 ???

I am also using tegrak to overclock.

Tegrak is a little more in depth over Set CPU. I used SetCPU before I knew about Tegrak, but now its honestly obsolete imo. I did buy it but I dont use it anymore.
Of course I could always revisit it in the future if I ever buy a non galaxy phone that Tegrak doesn't work on.

SetCPU + Profiles + Hummingbird = problems. Stop using profiles and I'm guessing your problems will go away
screen off 400 max 200 min priority 100 on demand
Haha thank you. It stopped all my lag too.

I noticed there is a script for epic touch that will lower the processor speed to 1Ghz when between 84%-35% batter then 800Mhz at 34%-0% battery, is there any way to get that to run on the skyrocket?

Get setcpu in the market and adjust to the same settings.

Antutu paid vs set CPU
Which is better ?! What are the pros and cons? Opinions?

Set CPU works fine for me...all I want is one thing, change the speeds that's all. But for a user that wants more options then they would probably chose antutu

I used to use SETCPU, but finally I found that the battery life was almost the same as the situation when I did not use the SETCPU.....So I gave up at last and let the phone run as it was..

The problem is I over clock and use a beta rom.... so its a bit buggy and if I can't sew my ghz live then I won't be able to trouble shoot so easily.

what i think is.. just use the "matched" radio and kernel.. and the battery will be at its peak.
Set cpu and check cpu tuner...

For me set cpu is better

I used to use SetCPU until I realized it was the culprit in a lot of my stability issues so I switched to using the kernel tweaked in liberty rom toolbox

Thanks for the input . I hear that the set CPU dev isn't good at responding. Any thoughts?

Cpu tuner it's better than set CPU..i used it in my x8..stability issues are occurred..so i prefer CPU tuner..

Hi,
is it possible that you have got a special profile in SetCPU or something other, that when the Camera-App starts it sets the clocking to 600 MHz?
Greetings...

don't think
No

why is it impossible?

I've heard it's possible to do such tweaks, but I don't know how and I don't think you can do it with setcpu app. A long time ago when I read the changelog for a custom rom devs claimed that cpu was set for 800Mhz, for the camera.

I'm using Galaxy Note and the kernel I'm running for the moment is not supporting 600Mhz, but I tried it with 800Mhz instead using the app Tasker. Started Camera and cpu was set to 800Mhz, and when I quit camera it went back to 1600Mhz =) I'm not sure if Tasker is stable with cpu profiles or not, but tried the camera a few times and it worked on my phone those times

so next time I have the answer for the question like these

1. "+" to add a new profile.
2. Enter profile name and accept, or just accept.
3. In "first context" window tap on "application".
4. Select Camera and accept.
5. In "task selection" window tap "new task" and accept task name.
6. In "task edit" tap "+" and then "misc" from the "select action category"
7. Tap "cpu" in "select misc action" window.
And here you can use the magnifying glass to access compatible cpu settings for your phone. Set min. and max. frequency to 600000. And except.
Tasker will override the SetCPU app settings while Camera app is running and then go back to SetCPU apps profiles automatically when exit camera app. For this profile you don't need to setup an "exit task" =)
