Anyone know some easy steps to back up all my apps, messages, contacts, settings and everything else before installing a new rom? I also have a 2GB memory card if that helps.

Hey all.
I have a MDA Touch and I would love to know if it is possible to have all of my messages, emails, contacts etc stored on the storage card, to try and claw back a little storage (i dont want to flash the rom!)
Thanks
From looking through the registry, no.
Daverage, it's impossible.
However, you can export them with, say, PIM Backup or SKTools, delete them entirely and, when you do need them, just import them back.
Thanks
I had guessed it would not be possible.
Settle for moving my pie cache to the storage card
I got all my info in my galaxy 1, messages, contacts, what's app, apps, wallpapers, data etc, is there a way to pass all that info?
Why don't you just use Google sync service?
you can back up applications with titanium back up or appmonster . but your saves will be deleted
back up sms & contacts with sdbackup
then transfer all your things from memory and pase it to s2 .
I've been looking around for this, and have used the search tool. Unfortunately i havent found an adequate answer, so many someone can help me. To begin this post, i am using a phone i purchased off a friend. He has contacts in the phone that i also use, and are not backed up anywhere. I have many contacts, and instead of only selecting a few that i use, i'd rather have them all backed up. The problem is, under my Phonebook (Using an HTC Droid DNA) i have contacts from many locations. Twitter, SIM, Outlook, Hotmail, Google, Phone, Facebook, and another Hotmail. 2600 exactly. I'd like to have them all saved under one location. If i cannot migrate them, thats fine. WIth using a new ROM, all the contacts fail to reload.
So what i am looking for is a few things, and possibly a way to migrate them all. When using multiple apps, only about 700 backup. I do not know which contacts are backed up, and that is my problem. When using a new ROM, i seem to lose the Phone contacts, because with all the other accounts, i can log back in and have them restore.
Is there an app that lets me choose individual contacts to back up as well as selecting them all?
Phone - HTC Droid DNA - Stock ROM
If you guys need other information, i am glad to give it. Thanks.
The problem is that those contacts from other services are not technically saved onto your phone, which is why they are showing up from different locations. You can always use a Cellebrite machine to backup all the contacts on your phone. This is the same device used by cell phone stores to transfer contacts to new devices. Another alternative is that you can try syncing your contacts with Google, which should store all of your phone's contacts onto your google account, eliminating the need to backup your contacts.
"The following functions have been deleted: Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp"
These apps, especially WhatsApp, have a lot of data (pictures, videos, voice, etc) saved on the phone side. Will these get wiped with the Marshmallow upgrade for the Note 5?
Thanks!

The /DATA partition will not be wiped by doing the OTA update.
Also the OTA update will not wipe your internal sdcard.
Your music, pictures and videos will not get wiped with this OTA.
Anything you have personally saved will remain intact.
Good luck,
Have a great day!
Thanks!
I know these OTA updates don't normally touch your photos and other data, but I was just wondering since the description stated that those 3 apps would be affected. So I was just curious if the update would blow away everything related to those 3 apps.
Make sure in WhatsApp you do a backup BEFORE the upgrade. It will recover the messages along with media associated once you re-install the app.
I recommend doing a factory reset afterwards anyway, and again make sure you have photos, emails, whatsapp etc backed up first.
One thing to bear in mind - when I set up my google account after a factory reset it did NOT allow me to download my apps from the backup. I had to manually get them all back, and it was a pain.
It doesn't happen very often but occasionally, I've had to wipe my phones clean and start over. Sure, there are a ton of apps that will backup contacts, sms, pics, etc but I still have to change all of my settings, like ringtones, developer options, wallpaper, arrange app icons, etc.
Isn't there an app that can take an image, like many PC apps, of the android storage and when restored it's EXACTLY like it was when I made the backup?
If not what's currently closest and what will I still have to do manually?
TIA...
