Google Music multiple account sync - Android Apps and Games

Would it be possible to tweak the Google Music apk so it would sync multiple accounts? Or would this have to be done in the ROM?

Just sign out and sign in with the other account. Or sync both accounts so you only need one

When syncing multiple accounts the option for syncing Google Music is not available for the second account you sync. And signing in and out everytime you want to access your music on the other account is a bit annoying.

*bump*
I'm looking for this as well. Apple has an app called "app for google music" which allows multiple google music accounts for streaming only, still cool. Has to be some alternative like this for Android.

Syncing with Google Calendar

Anyone has issues with syncing Google calendar to Captivate. One of my gmail calendars has multiple subcalendars, and none of them will sync to the Captivate calendar. The only way I check google calendar is set a bookmark shortcut to home page which is kind of frustrating since this is an android phone.
Pretty much what i have done in regards to syncing anything with google is to simply use the exchange feature and make all my accounts corporate.
My wife and I share a calander, so we have a shared google account set up as "corporate exchange" on my Galaxy and her iPhone.
I also have my own personal account for all my contacts setup as exchange and yet another account set up as exchange for photos I take for my business.
The sync seems to work better with exchange account setups as opposed to just email account settings.
The setup is a few extra steps, but quite easy.

HTC One X with Hotmail and Exchange?

This will be the first Android device that I'm getting. I'm currently using an iPhone 4. I heard I need a Google account to use Android. I do have a Google account, but it's not a Gmail account. Basically I just use my MSN email address and I can access Google Calendar and most other services except for Gmail. I intend to keep things like that as I'm not a huge fan of Gmail. Out of the box, can the One X be configured where I use Hotmail with the default email client or even Exchange email and then my Google account for everything else? I really like the concept where my Google Chrome tabs on my desktop can be synchronized with Chrome for Android. I don't want to use Gmail and I hope Android won't try to force me to use that and or Google+.
Yes, you sure can use it that way. Even if it "gives" you a Gmail account you can turn off sync for it so it never checks. You can also disable the Gmail app itself.

Syncing calendars without Google

I use the same 4 local calendars on my Nexus 5 and nexus 7. None of them are synced with Google calendar. I view them with the apps "business calendar" and "calendar status pro". Their data is kept in "calendar storage" but am not sure.
Is there a way I can sync these calendars between the 2 Android devices *without* passing through Google?
Thanks.

I never used this calendars but isn't there an option in them to export?
There is. But that would duplicate the entries. I was looking for a way or an app that would sync the calendars on the 2 devices.

The only way you could sync without Google would be if BizCal provided a service to do that, which it does not.
You are correct about calendar information being stored in Calendar Storage.
Could you try a phone backup app off the Play Store?

Actually I found a way to do it using titanium backup. I tried it and it works.
1. I make a recent tibu backup on the tablet and have tibu email the data part of the calendar backup to myself.
2. On the phone I click on this data backup which inserts it into the phone's tibu and restores the data.
The 2 calendars are now synced. I now need to use Tasker to automate the 2 step process.

It is just the calendar I want to sync. And I don't want to go through an intermediary website.
The best solution really depends on what is your objection to using Google as a conduit for syncing your calendars. Calendar Store supports other calendar providers which can be used to sync so if you have a particular reason for not wanting to use Google but aren't opposed to the idea of using another hosted calendar provider that would be an option.
I use a corporate exchange server to sync my calendar through the "corporate" account setup in Android (actually an exchange activesync client), which works fine and I don't use Google calendar. If you have an exchange server you can use that's certainly an option. If not there are numerous hosted exchange solutions you can subscribe to from Microsoft and other third parties.
You can also use Microsoft's Outlook.com calendar, which does support activesync syncing which would allow you to use the corporate account setup to sync your calendar without installing a Microsoft app. This would be a free solution through Microsoft. I suspect Yahoo may have something similar but I gave up on Yahoo years ago and have never looked back.
If you don't want to sync online at all, then I believe there are several apps that will allow you to sync locally over USB to Outlook installed on your computer. You could use a local outlook calendar to sync across all your devices. I know there are at least 2 or 3 major apps that do this. You should be able to find them by searching the play store or on a google search. Whether any of them will sync to the generic calendar store rather than using their own calendar apps, though, I'm not sure. You'll have to research them.
If you don't want to use Outlook locally, I suspect your options become much more limited. Although there may be something on the OSX side to sync with Apple's default calendar app. I don't really use Macs so I don't know.
I think tibu is best for me. Does the job without an online intermediary - - other than email
I'll fine tune the method by transferring the tibu data file via my home wifi network without going on the web.
My objection is my need for privacy. A losing battle today.

No Calendar Sync Option

Hi. I just installed the following ROM and I don't have an option to sync google calendars in the settings menu. I tried adding 3 google accounts and reflashing, no luck.
GOOGLE EDITION 4.4.2 BY Danvdh, jds3118, Sbreen94, Kryten2k35 & Ktoonsez
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2643031
Under settings for the account, I can sync:
App Data
Contacts
Drive
Gmail
Google Photos
Google Play Newstand
My Tracks
People Details
Sound Search for Google Play
I am also getting sync errors when I try to sync contacts, but I can usually get those to eventually sync after multiple tries.
Any thoughts? Ideas?
Thanks

Disable Gmail account in Gmail app?

My Google account has a spare Gmail account associated with it that I don't want to appear in the Gmail app. I use the Gmail app with other, non-Gmail email accounts that I have.
Is there any way to disable the Gmail account from appearing at all in the Gmail app (and Calendar app, for that matter)? Simply telling Android not to sync the Gmail portion of my Google account isn't enough to do anything.
